Miss Charlize won this red carpet hands down, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have opinions on the rest of the attendees. Hit it, attention-starved!
The good news is, this event seemed to have ended Hollywood’s recent all-black mourning period (what it was mourning for, we have not a clue). There’s still plenty of black to be found, but the color and print here was positively explosive in comparison to the last few dour weeks of red carpetry.
The bad news is this dress is shiny and a little wrinkled and not all that chic-looking.
Amy Adams in Elie Saab Couture
Oh Christ. The bridesmaid shoe trend. We said we were going to give it a couple months before we really start railing against it, but we’re not sure we can hold out. Also, the blouson bodice isn’t all that flattering paired with a skirt that could double as a tutu.
Camilla Belle in Salvatore Ferragamo
Superbly done. Attaboy.
Demi More in Salvatore Ferragamo
Navy blue was apparently the color of the night. The dress is just okay. She really needs a hair consult from someone willing to tell her the hard truths about life.
Dev Patel in Salvatore Ferragamo
J’ADORE. You rock the shit out of that red tuxedo, Mister.
Dita Von Teese in Carolina Herrera
She looks too covered up. Not that she needs to show off the girls every time she goes out, but the shape of her face combined with the lacquered hair means high collars aren’t really her best friend.
Evangeline Lilly in Moschino
Swear to God, we thought this was Lisa Rinna. We’re still unconvinced it’s not.
That’s too much Christmas-foil-paper red for one outfit. That jacket with black skinny pants would have been killer.
Freida Pinto in Salvatore Ferragamo
Did she just wake up from 1986 or something?
Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale in Salvatore Ferragamo
Bowing down, bitches. They both look chic.
Jodie Foster in Giorgio Armani
Well, smell Miss Jody here! This is a bit of a departure for her (even if it’s still her go-to Armani). We have to say, we love the sudden infusion of Butch Chic into her look.
Those hems are making us weep.
Nicole Richie in Dolce&Gabbana
Girl, that is SO your dress.
But those are SO not the right shoes for it.
Paz Vega in Salvatore Ferragamo
Wasn’t there a law passed that no one else could wear this after Angelina did? We didn’t dream that, right?
