Angie Harmon Style Double Shot

Posted on October 01, 2013

So here’s Angie Harmon being all Angie Harmon and shit:

Angie Harmon attends the Elie Saab Spring 2014 Show at Espace Ephémère in Paris.

Somewhat expected, in that “fierce politician’s wife” style she pretty much nails. We’re loving the bright purple. It’s all very expected and acceptable. Not reinventing the wheel, but sticking to a style that has served her well for a while.

But to be perfectly honest…

Angie Harmon attends the Chloé Spring 2014 Show in Paris.

This is the Angie we’d probably rather sit next to. Even if her vest wound up obscuring our view. Come on. You’ve got to give props to a lady who can go from Cindy McCain to the 1966 version of Cher in the same week. You sure can’t say she’s phoning it in.

Her hair is so bad. I love that first dress but the lack of hair style is atrocious.

    • Garcia Loca

I’m actually loving the voluminous, wild mess of black hair.

      • Jessica Freeman

It works in the second look, but a bit of refinement would have worked with the dress.

    • rage_on_the_page

The un-done hair like this is very French, from what I saw when living there. So I think it’s fitting for the venue.

  • Her hair is very thirsty.

  • marlie

I like the dress in the first look, but her purse is hiddy. And the second look… honey, NO.

  • MilaXX

The second looks needs a red lip, but I like it.

  • Stella Zawistowski

CRAVING that purple and white dress in the worst way possible.

  • Deac82

the fact that she managed to wear the same shoes on 2 vastly different outfits is impressive!

  • filmcricket

Wish she’d do something new with her hair. Embrace the kicky, piece-y bob, ladystars! Shake it up a bit!

    • I have sympathy for them though, I cut near-waistlength hair to a kicky, piece-y bob about a year ago and it is absolutely impossible. Cute but SO high maintenance So I am growing it out as soon as possible. Of course, stars get paid for hair maintenance and I do not but still.

      • Constant Reader

I’m with you. Either boy-short or long enough for a ponytail. Between chin and shoulder length is just too much work!

        • mlle

I grew out a boy-short cut (admittedly, it was a shaggy boy cut, with some length in the front for volume) because styling took too long and I didn’t even have the option of wearing a bun, which has been my go-to for almost a decade now..

  • Andrew Schroeder

But why does her purse have a mohawk?

  • hughman

She awfully shiny. Law and Order : EVOO.

    • d4divine

      Yeah, she could do with a little powder…and concealer…perhaps a little blush….

      • kmk05

Exactly what I was about to post. Her unfinished face diminishes the impact of both looks, but especially the second one.

        • d4divine

She could probably get away with it some years ago…but uh…

    • tinyredlocks

      You win. 😀

  • Rand Ortega

For a split sec I thought it was Sandra Bullock. The dress is too staid for me, but she looks great. The 2nd look is so young & fresh– Perfect for Paris Fashion Week.

    • terpsichory

Definitely Sandra Bullock in there, though this face is also likely to turn up somewhen in Jordana Brewster’s future.

      • Rand Ortega

  • sagecreek

She tops my list of celebrities I most want to see get fat.

    • calimon

I see someone else here is feeling extra-bitter (kitten), too. Go on with your bitter-self, I say!

  • nannypoo

I don’t recall ever seeing her here before and I’ve never thought about how she might dress. I have to say the first seems more expected but the second, in spite of how much I hate that vest, is definitely more interesting. I don’t like her makeup for either look.

  • shirab

Is that a two-tone cream top in the top photo or is she showing evidence of, heaven forbid, sweaty underarms? I wasn’t sure that was allowed during Fashion Weeks, but it’s very humanizing. Like her frizzy hair.

    • SouthernGirlRena

It looks like either an old gray bra showing in the armhole or sweaty armpits but it is too perfectly shaped so it must be part of the dress. I can’t imagine why a designer would do that. I noticed it right away.

I love both looks. The second one is totally wackadoodle but she is pulling it off.

    • nowlo

I noticed that greige-y bit in the underarm area too. It looks like it’s meant to be part of the dress, but the unfortunate color and placement makes it look like she’s got a dingy old bra peeking out. Very, very strange design decision.

    • kimmeister

      I totally think it’s sweat.

    • SugarSnap108

The possible sweat stain jumped right out at me. I think it’s an unfortunate part of the design, though — it seems a bit too perfectly shaped to be sweat. But maybe Angie sweats perfectly.

    • Jessica O’Connell

I think it’s sweat too. You can’t see that in the pictures that are straight on at all, so I don’t think it’s a part of the dress. Kind of unfortunate but it’s something that apparently even happens to the best/thinnest/most-age-bending of us.

  • Imasewsure

I love that second look on her… totally unexpected in kind of a Charlotte Rampling kind of way (long standing girlcrush!)

  • d4divine

Love her style…she looks like she just throws it together. #truestyle

  • Love every written word here! And if gossip is to be believed (and remembered by me correctly) she’s a Republican who knows how to Party.
This is the second fierce bitch I’ve admired today.

    • demidaemon

Indeed. And clearly one of the few Republicans who is not up her own ass.

  • tallgirl1204

I was seeing Ali McGraw in that second shot…

    • susu

Yes, I was about to say the same! Although I also see a bit of Jordana Brewster now that one of the other BKs has pointed it out.

  • Cubana Loca

Why is her face so shiny? Facial powder STAT. And the hair is a disaster.

    • Cubana Loca

And in the second photo from the top, it appears she has pitted out. All that said, I like both outfits and she could rock each one if the hair and face were better.

  • StellaBartois

Love the first look, shuddered at the second but agree she earns props for not being a one-way monkey.

    Still my favorite L&O ADA!

  • demidaemon

I have to say, seeing her on this blog just reinforces my love for her. I love the attitude her, even though that fur vest would probably really piss me off on somebody else in another venue.

  • SorayaS

I’m betting Angie has spent a LOT of time in France- that hair and makeup is totally French-chic, the opposite to perfectly “done” American style.

  • MoHub

Actually, the furry vest is 1966 Sonny, not Cher.

  • Heather

I nominate her for the B*****s Who Don’t Age Hall of Fame, along with, hmmm, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Sandra Bullock, Kristin Davis, and Andie McDowell.

  • MissWix

Not that this matters, but I once helped her at my retail job, and not only was she about my height (6 feet!), she was also a healthy normal size, strikingly pretty, and could not have been warmer or more normal. I don’t even watch any of her shows, but I’ve loved her ever since. I think she looks effortless and fab.

    • mshesterp

She lives in the Charlotte area, where I am, when she’s not filming and I’ve read a variety of interviews with her that are absolutely charming in their normal-ness. She really is someone who appreciates her life, her job, her hot husband, her kids, and her time OUT of the spotlight. What’s not to love?

  • bitchybitchybitchy

OMG….for the first time in months I can leave a comment here! This Bitter Kitten has been in Browser-hell exile. So good to be back-hope it lasts!
I do like the fierce politician’s wife dress.

    • Jackie4g

Yeah, today, my browser decided to use IE 9 format without me havng to do that “press F12 ” key and select it. I have no explanation, but it made me happy.

  • susu

I think she looks gorgeous in that first dress! Hair is nothing special, but it looks healthy and effortless – vastly preferable to all the extensions / cocker spaniel hair / flat-ironed to death locks sported by so many of her Hollywood counterparts.

  • The unfinished face detracts a bit but I’d kill to have that range.

  • jw_ny

I know her hair is all stuck in that muppet fur…big peeve of mine. Other than that, the 2nd look is what I more associate and prefer, with regards to Angie’s style…edgy.

  • Jackie4g

It looks like her breasts are being severly compressed in that first dress. Mashed boobage froom the side. I like both looks.

  • Jacquelyn

Dear Lord. What is she wearing in the second set?

  • mhleta

Is that a pit stain in the side shot?

  • Erica_Vuitton

I’m bias when it comes to the color purple, so I love the first look even though the Alfalfa purse distracts… now that second look. WOW.. I mean… she just looks so.. FRENCH! J’adore!

  • @rosetta-ro

She Is A Beauty she Looks Good in anything she wears she would look Good in an Armanti suit

  • Shawn EH

    Those gams!

  • Krysta

She looks like she really wants to laugh in the second set. I like it.

  • LaSylphide

I wonder how many fake furs died to make that vest.

  • LalaLand

Her face is strikingly beautiful and she hasn’t aged a bit since her Law & Order days. On to the outfit; love the white and purple dress. Hate the furry vest. I mean, what even? The hair would’ve looked better if it were pinned up. But I digress.

  • Crystal

    Bitch. Does. Not. Age.

  • V Johns

I think no-one is perfect. Ms Harmon rocks both looks. You go with your ba d self.
