Alyssa Milano in Peter Pilotto at the Project Runway All Stars Premiere Party

Posted on October 24, 2013

Well, we couldn’t leave our kittens without SOMEWHERE to gather during a Project Runway season premiere, could we?

Alyssa Milano attends the “Project Runway: All Stars” Season 3 Premiere Party in New York City in Peter Pilotto.

Peter Pilotto Fall 2013 Collection

But sorry, we still have no intention of writing about it. We need to cleanse. Much like Miss Alyssa here needs to cleanse herself of this dress, which looks terrible on her.

Enjoy the show, kittens!

Surprisingly, the model *almost* makes this very odd dress work. Lesser mortals–including, sadly for her, Alyssa–shouldn’t even try.

      • schadenfreudelicious

Yes, save this one for the professionals, only 6ft models need apply

      • Constant Reader

        My thoughts exactly.

      • Mary Lauer

Yes, normal human sized arms (ha, on an actress is like a size 2 or 0!) don’t allow the sleeves to fall the same as they do on the much thinner tall model. Makes a HUGE difference in the look!

    • Adrianna Grężak

She looks rather pleased with herself. At least she’s carrying herself with confidence, because that napkin dress is way too much

      • bitchybitchybitchy

That’s a lot of dress, even on a runway model.

      • Rhonda Shore

When she says “I’d wear that”, we all can think of this dress.

    • Random Compliments

This is hideous. I normally love Peter Pilotto, but this is just….hideous.

    • Winter_White

Enjoy your PR-free evening, T Lo!

Ah, decisions, decisions. Whether ’tis nobler to honor my solemn vow (never, ever again to set eyes on Jeffrey and his neck, nor allow his fake-Charles Bukowski voice to irritate my ears) …

…or just go ahead and pour some wine and watch? If nothing else, the dynamic between Irina and Elena has the potential to be interesting. And I’d enjoy seeing Seth Aaron and Korto again.

      • Sarah

Oh, lay eyes on it. I’m doing it for Irina and Elena too. Plus, whaddya think the odds are that Jeffrey is able to design anything relevant years later when he kinda sucked before? Might be fun to watch him fail…

        • Winter_White

But will there be some sort of attempt at a “redemption arc” for JS — you know, as a not-repulsive human being? Because my hate can’t take that. ;)

          • Sarah

Oh, jeez. I dunno, I hope not. I’m assuming that the fact that he was from Before means they will expect everyone to have forgotten about his antics. But his new hipster mustache (p.r. photo on lifetime website) smacks of a sickening attempt at relatability, so who knows…

            • Imasewsure

Yes I thought the hipster ‘stache boded well for some future hip-douchery… we’ll see…

            • bitchybitchybitchy

Does JS have a pornstache now? I guess I’ll have to go look.

            • Swiftlytiltingplanet

He has a truly awful hat.

            • bitchybitchybitchy

The hat and ‘stache are an unfortunate combo, methinks.

            • MoHub

He’s been doing that look for a while. He and other PR alums were in a window-dressing episode of Top Design and he was strutting the ‘stache and hat then.

      • BuffaloBarbara

Yeah, I’m dropping by for SA. And because I have nothing better to do.

      • formerlyAnon

There was some kind of PR-tied in design show he was on years ago. I remember them designing store windows. I also remember he wasn’t nearly as obnoxious as he’d been on PR. But it wasn’t enough to make me want to let go of my many uninformed negative opinions as to his character. I won’t be watching tonight.

        • Winter_White

“…it wasn’t enough to make me want to let go of my many uninformed negative opinions as to his character.”
Lol, formerlyAnon — that’s so good! In fact, you just helped me decide: I will watch. But in honor of you, and of my earlier mock-sacred vow, I shall close my eyes whenever JS is onscreen. Okay? That’ll work, right? ;)

          • formerlyAnon

Oh no! if you watch you must be eagle-eyed to see if you can spot anything (good OR bad) that happens in the background or not-quite off mic that we can then imagine are insights behind the planned script/personas and spin into some new uninformed opinions!

            • Winter_White

              I accept this mission.

I will be a fierce and perceptive eagle. Except, y’know…WINE.

            • formerlyAnon

Wine encourages creative interpretation. So, as long as your eyes are open, it’s a plus!

And someone said Debbie Harry is a judge tonight, so I’ll have to watch at least this episode tomorrow, having made other plans for tonights’ airing. So: quality control on your observations. We’re good.

            • Sarah

Oh, but I thought we were s’posed to form our uninformed opinions purely based on the producer’s spoon-fed edits that are completely misleading re: the actual character of any of the persons involved in the show! But wait…I’ve confused myself…by that reasoning, JS is probably a sweet guy and Daniel “Snidely” Esquivel is a total dick.

            • formerlyAnon

I imagine JS probably isn’t nearly as bad as he came off during his season, he was trying to be the bad guy character, he’s said that. But we’ll never really know, will we? (At the very least, I hope he is a good dad. He makes a big deal, apparently, of how important that is to him. So I hope he pulls it off.)

            • Sarah

I always imagine nobody is as bad as they may have come off in their season. I mean, sure, maybe jerky or overly aggro but probably not super awful. Sometimes they edit to make people look like they’d just as soon go out and stab somebody as design a dress.

            • Swiftlytiltingplanet

              Except Ken. Ken IS awful.

            • Sarah

Yeah, a total jackass, but you know, somebody loves him. And he probably managed to present some redeeming qualities to get cast, but we’ve all been over how questionable the casting was on the last season, so I won’t bring it up again.

            • demidaemon

Did anyone watch that hot mess of a reunion? Holy crap, that was an awesome display of a lack of self-analysis. Helen and Kate going after Alexandria? Just the following lines:

Helen: “Am I crazy?” (referring to her perceived view of Alexandria hating her)

              Alexandria: “I think you are.”

              GOLDEN.

            • Sarah

Hi demi! Yup, that was the best moment. (See convo at “new” end of comments re: afterschool and her dumb ass)

            • demidaemon

Yeah, my only disagreement is how everyone is piling on Dom. Look, she didn’t jump on the Alexandria bandwagon, kept her head down during the reunion, and kept her trap shut. Considering these other dumbasses, I can’t ask for much more.

            • Sarah

She was defensive about the personality comment, but I can see how that would happen. All the questions asked were calculated to get a rise out of folks. I agree with you – she didn’t seem too mean to me and it wasn’t her fault she was sitting in the front with the, ahem, more incendiary ladies.

        • Munchkn

What was that show? I remember the store windows, but not much else.

          • formerlyAnon

I have no clear memories of it. I’m not even sure (though I think so) that the store windows were one challenge in a multi-challenge show, and former PR contestants were part of it only for that challenge.

            • Munchkn

It was Top Design, the decorating competition that used to be on Bravo. Santino, Andrae, Sweet P, Jeffrey, and Daniel Franco all made dresses for a shop window that the interior design contestants on Top Design had to “dress”.

formerlyAnon, I couldn’t have gotten this without your confirmation that it was just one episode of another show.

            • formerlyAnon

Thanks for tracking it down! My only slightly better than idle curiosity is satisfied.

        • Adrianna Grężak

He was also on Charm School on VH1. No lie.

      • Adrianna Grężak

I stopped watching after Season 10, but I was pleasantly surprised when I watched last night’s episode for the hell of it. Granted, the bar is pretty low. It also seems like they’re low on “top designers” (considering the first two all-star specials/seasons) so there isn’t a wide variety of designers

        • Winter_White

I watched last night, too, and enjoyed it!

There are some designers I’d really like to see again, but who would probably never agree to do the show … the first person who comes to mind is Maya Luz (who mysteriously dropped out of S7 after showing some interesting stuff). S4 Jillian Lewis — loved her work. I wonder what S1 Nora Caliguri is up to; and S3 Robert Best.

Can’t imagine Laura Bennett returning, but wouldn’t that be cool? Likewise, I’m sure even T Lo couldn’t talk their friend Emmett into it, but he was lovely. Oh, and while he was certainly not an ‘All-Star,’ I really got a kick out of S3 Bradley Baumkirchner…remember him? “There’s serious design goin’ on here…and *I* made a Tinker Toy.” :)

          • bitchybitchybitchy

In 2012 a Projject Runway book was published, and it included short interviews with several designers, including Jilllan Lewis. Her interview left me with the strong feeling that she had put PR in her past and wasn’t interested in doing anything further with the franchise-just my impression.

          • Adrianna Grężak

I would LOVE to see Jillian Lewis again, but I’m not surprised that she wouldn’t appear on PR again. PR has changed so drastically, and she was really a different kind of designer

          • guest2visits

I wasn’t going to watch this season at all. I hate the idea of past winners mixed with those who haven’t gotten that lucky break yet. But then I saw it was Debbie Harry for 1st guest!
I admit I like seeing Viktor, Elena, Korto again.
It would be fantastic to have Laura Bennett back, any time.

    • Angela Cotsones Shea

My god….make them stop! Aren’t they tired too?

    • Elana Bryan

She’s waaaay too short to even attempt to pull this off. Nice try, but, no.

    • Aurumgirl

I’ve never seen anyone look good in a Peter Pilotto design. Not surprised this isn’t very flattering.

    • kipper

      The darn things got wings!

    • MoHub

It looks terrible on the model, too. There’s just no sense in it of how a woman’s body is shaped.

      • UsedtobeEP

Giraffe neck. Thanks to the dress, I mean.

      • Targettaste

“No sense in it of how a woman’s body is shaped” is spot on. I accept all different styles and tastes, but it has to flatter and fit.

    • John11581

I have a feeling the new season is going to be as awful as this dress.

    • Sarah

Ya know, the makeup stylists have really been doing the ladies dirty today. Alyssa looks way older and more, um, frosty, than she should. In other news, I am totally looking forward to the reunion ep that is on tonite. Can’t wait to see folks rip Sandro and Ken UP.

      • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

        I agree about the makeup.
        The reunion was great!

      • demidaemon

That was awesome, if only to see how cracked Helen has become. Delusional, maybe? Also, see my rendition of her conversation with Alexandria above. Ken was remarkable composed; Sandro was, well, Sandro.

        • Sarah

Well, the ripping did not go exactly as I expected, but it was a lively festival of bitchery. I wish Tim hadn’t been the ringleader, but what can I say – they’ve got his ass on lock, obviously.

    • clatie

I’m sorry, if alyssa freakin’ milano gets invited to this event, I should be invited. that is some d-list company.

      PS the dress is awful.

      • http://marshmallowjane.com/ marshmallowjane

Haha. I feel the same way. They should have asked one of us to host the show. We are all very knowledgeable about what’s in and what’s out. Just ask us. :-D

      • Sarah

        She’s the host, so…

      • Imasewsure

I think she’s a television B lister at least but not in the fashion sense at all. She is “concert t’s and ripped jeans” not gowns and couture (or even fancy ready wear).
        Trainwreck? We can only hope!

    • Swiftlytiltingplanet

      What even is that?!

    • Lilithcat

Yet another dress that’s just plain ugly on anyone.

      • StellaZafella

It’s the national flag of Nuttzealand.

        • Winter_White

And we are a proud people.

    • lexilexi

OMG. And she’s the host. This can’t go well.

    • http://marshmallowjane.com/ marshmallowjane

This dress is just really awful. I hate to stomp on anyone’s efforts. I’m not familiar with Peter Pilotto. But this is ugly, and it’s worse on a small person. I don’t think I’m going to enjoy Alyssa on the PR All Stars show. She is taking herself way too seriously. She’s going to have to convince someone that she knows what she’s talking about, and this dress is a bad start.

If I were in her “shoes,” I’d start the show off by thanking the powers that be for giving her this wonderful opportunity. I’d go on about how much I love fashion–and give a couple examples besides playing “runway” as a child–how much I respect hard-working designers. She should show some modesty. This hard-nose approach that we keep seeing in the previews makes her look like a foolish arse.

      • swanpride

Give her some time…it is not easy to step into someone else shoes and that she is forced to utter more or less the same lines as Heidi doesn’t help. I hope she goes a little bit more off-script soon and acts more like herself.

    • Gloriana Reginata

I can’t imagine why anyone would look at that dress on the model, and decide they need to wear it.

    • Lisa_Co

Thank you guys for putting this up. Makes watching SO much more bearable.

On another note I’ve been reading the early Projectrungay posts on the early years of PR. So great! How did I only discover this blog 2 years ago? Anyway, though we all view the Bravo years with fondness, even in those early years commenters complained about cracktastic judging and producer manipulation. But those things have gotten so much worse. I fear they will be on full display with Mizrahi & co. tonight.

    • stayl

But Debbie Harry is going to be a guest judge tonight. You have to watch! Pretty please.

      • Imasewsure

Are you kidding? Now I have to watch!! Why can’t Debbie be the host? That would have made for an excellent season!

        • bitchybitchybitchy

Recently I was watching the original “Hairspray” on cable, and loved Debbie Harry as Amber von Tussle’s mom-totally fabjulous 60’s Baltimore high hair!

      • formerlyAnon

No way. I turned down my chance to view as it airs, but if she’s on there I’ll have to watch tomorrow.

    • decormaven

If this is a portent of things to come, then “There isn’t enough mommy in the world to further your cause.”

    • Sarah

Bets, anyone, on what Ms. Chapman’s superlative will be this season? The Beautiful? The Lovely? The Acclaimed?

      • bitchybitchybitchy

That could be our drinking game for PRAS. Whenever they utter “the …..Georgina Chapman” we hoist our glasses/kegs/bottles

        • Lisa_Co

Since I believe Georgina was pregnant during filming we may only see shots of her from the neck up, like tonight. Too bad, because I generally love her style.

    • susu

      GTNYL! GTNYL!

    • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Do this is your fashion cred, Alyssa? Hmmmm, I have concerns.

(So, does that make this our de facto lounge?)

      • Sarah

        I believe that it do.

        • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

          Well, shit, now I’m torn.
I missed AHS Coven and was going to start it once the kids were down. But I love snarky, enraged, PR watching Bitter Kittens and our Thursday pm chats. Damnit man, what’s a girl to do???

          • Sarah

Save the Coven for later. Be enraged and snarky now. That Pilotto mess up there is making it very easy.

            • MilaXX

              fish in a barrel

            • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Alrighty then! But you know it’s killing me to be unable to read the recap here. It’s been taunting me all day.

            • UsedtobeEP

I read it, and I watched about 25 minutes of AHS (but I haven’t seen the rest of them because I am a big chicken) and I STILL don’t know quite what’s going on. So I bet you can read it and still be OK, if you just can’t help yourself. Apparently, in typical AHS fashion, it’s hard to follow…

          • Cheryl

We’re here because we’re here because we’re here! Yay!

    • BuffaloBarbara

Oy. I’m trying to think of what that dress looks like. One of those gym smocks, maybe, tied haphazardly over a housedress.
Thanks, TLo, for opening a spot for the kittens to hiss.

      • kimmeister

With some Samurai armor (made out of tapestries) thrown over the shoulder.

    • ShaoLinKitten

You know what I want to see? A Project Runway All-Stars where all the past designers who were eliminated in the first challenge get called back to compete. Now THAT would be both entertaining and enlightening.

      • MilaXX

        Like fashion Hunger Games.

        • bitchybitchybitchy

Could we have Effie Trinket as judge or high executioner?

        • UsedtobeEP

Oh, awesome. You have no idea the images that conjures.

        • Lisa_Co

I like the idea of all the WINNERS competing (is that like Iron Chef?). But of course Christian would never compete and without him……well…. the show wouldn’t work:(

      • Winter_White

Maybe three’s a charm for Daniel Franco.

    • Trickytrisha

So this is the woman who’s gonna be hosting a FASHION show? Bwahaaaahaha.

    • formerlyAnon

This dress needs a bigger canvas upon which to display itself than Ms. Milano.

    • Milos Mom

It is way too much dress for her small frame. She is drowning in it. I love her though and *CAN NOT WAIT* for her to take over Project Runway All Stars!!!!!!!

    • Imasewsure

Hopefully she won’t start thinking she is edgy and start wearing this kind of crap on a regular basis. It is not in her wheelhouse (and the dress is ugly)

    • MilaXX

She was doing pretty good on the pole dance for this show, but this is not her dress. Much like Lilly Allen from the other day, Alyssa needs to realize this is for a tall, model type body. That said, I think she’ll make a terrific host for this.

      • Cheryl

I’m short and curvy, with a “small” face (I’m told it’s a compliment). I’ll never be tall and sultry – I’ve gone from being a cute girl to a cute little old lady. Alyssa will always have a “girl next door look.” No amount of eyeshadow will turn her into a sex siren.

        • MilaXX

She was pretty sexy on her summer soap and that was with extra post baby weight. This look is just not in her wheelhouse.

    • MilaXX

oh dear lord, Tim is hosting the reunion? This is gonna be interesting. I hope he calls some of the designers on their BS.

    • MilaXX

Justin can’t be anything but grateful. He benefited greatly from Tim’s save.

    • Cheryl

YES!!!! Oh, thank you thank you thank you!!!

    • myristica_fragrans

for this to work on her, it needs to be hemmed to mid thigh and paired with some kind of strappy sandal.

    • Kate4queen

      That’s an awful dress, sorry.

    • Swiftlytiltingplanet

Ken: “I have a different way of expressing myself.” Yeah. Uh-huh

    • MilaXX

So everyone has kissed and made up? How boring!

    • ashtangajunkie

      This dress hurts my feelings.

    • MilaXX

lol – This Helen/Alexandria thing is gonna be interesting.

      • Munchkn

It just made me hate Helen all the more. She’s just one nasty person.

        • Swiftlytiltingplanet

Yes, because, picking a fight on national television will do so much for that reputation of hers.

        • MilaXX

I laughed when she talked about people seeing this and thinking she was like that in person. Honey everyone who might be interested in you has seen you now repeatedly act like a 16 year old.

          • bitchybitchybitchy

Anyone who goes on a reality show needs to think carefully about how they want to present themselves. The viewing audience is going to judge them as they are shown on the program.

      • jayetyler

The whole thing just made me wish Helen would grow the hell up. I loved her final collection and was sad that she was cut (even though I found her more and more grating as the show went on). But then she went on that twitter rant and any support I felt for her talent evaporated.

Poor Alexandria; she just looked so confused by what Helen was saying. Helen needs to learn that critiquing someone’s work is not the same as criticizing them as a person.

        • MilaXX

exactly She is too no name to think she will get very far in this biz going on twitter acting like a brat.

    • MilaXX

wait a minute, these children are upset over things she said in her confessional? plz

      • BuffaloBarbara

They know what goes on in confessionals! Talk about fake-a** posturing.

      • GillianHolroyd

That was a pile-on on Alexandria, uncomfortable to watch.

        • ShaoLinKitten

Helen is such a hypocritical, vile creature that I was shouting at the TV screen. She and Kate were total mean girls, with Dom disappointingly cackling next to them. You know things are jacked up when Sandro is the voice of reason, but then, he knows what a drama monster Helen is.

          • guest2visits

Disappointed in Kate…at first I saw her as making friends with everyone…now I don’t know what in the world Alexandria said or did to make these people hate her so much. I didn’t see anything that hate-worthy on the show. Unless it was from Helen, Ken or Sandro.
However; Sandro made me laugh every time he spoke tonight. JUst roared.

            • Michelle Wilson

Kate showed her true nature during last seasons reunion special and during her press. She feels entitled to win and is envious and mean to anyone more successful than she. Seems she worked overtime to poison the morale of this season’s cast behind the scenes.

            • Pril Wood

Sandro has that endearing quality of being both a hot headed jerk and funny and likeable… Kind of like Joshua McKinley, IMO. But I have no like for Ken or Helen, and much less for Kate and Dom after last night.

          • bitchybitchybitchy

If Sandro was the voice of reason, wow.

            • ShaoLinKitten

Sandro cut off Helen’s vicious attack of Alexandria, saying, “No one is perfect, OK? Leave her alone. You’re not going to get what you want out of her.” Which effectively shut down the assault. I was actually cheering Sandro’s comment. Tim should have stepped in and at least pointed out the hypocrisy, but no one did.

        • MilaXX

          and unwarranted by those partaking

      • blondie65

I posted somewhere (damn Disqus), but I totally did not get that pile on. Why was Kate comforting Helen so much…what was that “you’re not going to get your answers here” about? What the hell did Alexandria do that was so awful? Her talking heads were mostly about the clothes. She was less personal in her confessionals than just about everyone else…the only time I remember her getting really personal was about Helen’s constant crying/drama/asking for help and she wasn’t the only one who bitched about that. Heck, even Tim called Helen out about that. There either is something that went down that we did not see or Kate & Helen really just are mean girls, as that really appeared to be a classic mean girl pile-on.

        • ShaoLinKitten

Helen was so defensive, as if Tim wasn’t outing everyone on that show. She and Kate turned my stomach.

          • MM4321

The reunion made me go look at Helen’s facebook page. Ugh! She repeatedly scolds anyone who doesn’t adore her, and says the page is only meant for admiring her stuff. And as early as 2 months ago, she was blotting out Alexandria’s face whenever there was a group Project Runway photo. (. . . which is the kind of thing I might have done in junior high. Then I grew up.)

        • Michelle Wilson

My guess is that for all their bluster of unfairness, they all did the math and realized that Alexandria’s final collection auctioned for nearly as much as all 3 of their’s combined. Envy and jealousy are ugly and so are those three girls.

        • MilaXX

I couldn’t post on Disqus at all last night.
Andrea did through people under the bus in front of the judges a few times, but not to Helen. If you can’t take someone saying in a confessional they don’t like your look or you cry too much, don’t go on reality tv. Helen just further showed herself to be a nasty piece of work.

        • Munchkn

I rarely remember my dreams (except the one where I found a Birkin!) but I dreamed last night that Helen came to my house and started marking the walls with a Magic Marker and not a little bit either. She angrily marked up a big section of the wall. One of my girls used to occasionally mark on the walls, but she was two years old and she just didn’t understand why it was OK to marker on the whiteboard and not on the white walls. Helen’s a very childish person.

    • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Thank goodness the producers don’t tell the judges what to say or how to vote.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_QFW22QV426LUOEPGASPZJWJMDE MishaFoomin

So we’re this much closer to the start of the next RuPaul’s Drag Race season… What? That’s all PRAS 3 is marking for me.

    • BuffaloBarbara

My thoughts on the “rigged” nature.

I’m going to come off as naive, but no, I don’t think they go into the casting saying, “Let’s slot this one as the winner.” I do think that pretty quickly, they form favorites, but, except where there’s actual producer manipulation to keep someone from being sent home, I expect most of it’s kind of unconscious. I mean, they really don’t get any special reward for picking A over B… they’re all unknown. But they’re people, and the more they see of them, the more their favorites get solidified. And of course, once it’s over and they know the outcome, the producers twist around the narrative through the editing process. They probably do make guesses about what the audience will like, too.

      • Cheryl

The way Bradon started so strong – and Dom was in the middle of the pack until the “back half” of the season – when she just powered through. It definitely seemed like a story was being told in the editing.

      • Frank_821

The thing that gets me is how many of them whined and vented the way they did. Soem fo the most immature responses I’ve ever seen on a reunion show.. Sandro thinking Zac Posen is jealous of him? Alexander caliming the judges merely saw him as a costumer and held it against him. give me a break and go tell that to Chris March!

      • MM4321

I felt like Tim was twisting some of their complaints around. No, we don’t think the season is rigged from the beginning. But yes, we all know that the judges find favorites – which is human nature, I give you – and then manipulate ways to keep their favorites in the game. Tim is smart enough to know that was their point . . . and smart enough to twist it and throw it back at them. :-)

    • GillianHolroyd

Speaking of the street… I saw Braden walking up 9th Ave yesterday, 9th & 52nd.

      • Munchkn

        Cool!

      • Lisa_Co

Bradon handled the nasty tweets about his marriage proposal quite gracefully IMO. Meanwhile why didn’t Helen’s nasty drunken tweets get unearthed?

        • Targettaste

I read some of Helen’s nasty tweets to TLo, but does anyone know what she tweeted to/about Tim?

          • Lisa_Co

She didn’t tweet to Tim specifically but she complained loudly about Alexandria, tweeting she was a bitch.

            • Targettaste

Thanks. I don’t know why Helen is so obsessed with Alexandria. I think most of the designers said negative things about Helen’s designs and crying.

          • swanpride

Well, she did complain about her and Kate’s auf….and a LOT about Alexandria….and now after it turned out that the reunion show did serve “the truth” the way she wanted she is reminding everyone that she was not the only one who said bad things about her, Kate did too.

    • marlie

Nope, not Alyssa’s dress. This could only be worn by someone tall and svelte like Charlize.

      • bitchybitchybitchy

It brings back sad memories of his “Urban Safari” final collection for season three. I loved Mychael
his coffee filter dress, the Pam Grier hot pants number, and then that collection was such a letdown.

    • BPlease

My comments didn’t go through, boo hiss Disqus.

Alyssa’s dress is I think why I was bummed to hear she was hosting All-Stars – I think she doesn’t have interesting, or even good, personal style. She seems really cheesy to me – that mushy-voiced ‘sexy’ thing she I guess reps is not a good fit with this (admittedly awful) dress.

Helen’s unbelievable nastiness towards Alexandria just makes me loathe her more. She’s a dreadful person. Dreadful. But I guess I’m a hater, because she’s so hot that rando married guys are emailing her, tweeting her, blowing up her phone to beg for the privilege of squiring her? Of course they are. Of course.

      • GillianHolroyd

        Disqan’t

        • BPlease

          Ha!! You said it!

      • blondie65

Totally agree. What is so surprising is how many piled on Alexandria. I really don’t recall her saying anything worse than anyone else in the talking head segments…and most of her worst comments were about the garments, not personal. The only time she got personal was bitching about Helen and her constant meltdowns & crying, which was totally true. And Kate rubbing Helen’s back and soothing her…”you’re not going to get your answers here” ….. What the hell was that about??? Either there’s a whole back story we never saw or that was a classic mean-girl pile on.

        • BPlease

I’d stake anything that there was no back story. They are both incredibly nasty. Remember Kate sobbing when she was rightfully auf’d for that heinous garment, and saying that she knew when the judges said ‘two would be out’ that they were specifically looking to get rid of her? Kate Pankoke is a dressmaker. Her taste is all in her mouth. She thought because of some bullshit ‘bring one designer back’ vote that others recognized her talent. It’s hard to recognize what isn’t present.

Helen is vile. Spoiled, petulant, raging, dishonest, scheming and vile.

          • bitchybitchybitchy

I missed the reunion? Sounds like I didn’t miss much.

            • BPlease

It induced rage in me, ugh.

Ken’s got serious, serious problems but was able to laugh it off in a way that simply showed IMO that he took absolutely no responsibility for his abuse of other people. Helen watched her repellant meltdown (“Which one?,” you ask? Oh, the sobbing on the runway meltdown. It’s Meltdown Original) and laughed broadly and hopelessly fakely, like, ‘Ha ha! It’s all good!’ and attacked Alexandria with no basis. Helen and Ken are both awful. I think Sandro was just coked to the tips of his mustache on the show but is not an actual sociopath. Those two, however…

          • ShaoLinKitten

Did you see all the tweets from Helen about how UNJUST and WRONG it was that Kate was aufed and Alexandria was not? Come on. Alexandria’s work was far superior to Kate’s all season long. Sore losers and petty mean girls.

            • bitchybitchybitchy

There were a couple of challenges where I thought that Alexandria might have been auf’ed, but by the end of the season I was glad that she made it through. She did less playing to the cameras then Kate and Helen, and her final collection surprised me in positive ways.

        • swanpride

You know, typical High School structures. She didn’t connect to the group, she normally tries to avoid confrontation, she was a really easy pray for the likes or Kate and Helen.

      • guest2visits

I wondered what all the hate toward Alexandria was about – no one seemed to come to her side about it; and I never saw her say anything that most everyone didn’t also add in their little interviews. She was equally cool and distant with all the rest, I think it was her strategy and her personality too. She certainly never brought the drama that Helen is still puking up. I don’t see Helen teaching kids anything.

        • Munchkn

Helen and kids….ugh! Just the thought of that gives me the shivers!

        • Chartreusite

Terribly agreed. I didn’t watch the entire season so I wouldn’t know, but I feel like Alexandria was not even close to the top of the list of the drama starters or shit-talkers. Was she harsh? Absolutely. But at least in the end it was always fairly on-point and accurate, and I don’t think she ever said shit more personal than someone being annoying or being harmful to her work ethic. I feel like there is a level of personality clash going on, because Alexandria does come off as very distant and stoic, so maybe everyone thinks she’s a lot harsher than she is? Idk, even though I loved Helen’s collection, she showed she hasn’t grown at all this evening.

          • Lisa_Co

Supposedly Alexandria stole the goddess/model Ya from Bradon but he didn’t say a word about that tonight.

            • Chartreusite

Oh no how dare she do something that was totally within the confines of the competition XD

            • bitchybitchybitchy

In Season Three one of the designers,Uli, I think it was, stole Mychael Knight’s model, who definitely improved everything she wore-it’s part of the competition.

            • Chartreusite

She did; stole nazri out from under his nose. It sucks, but that’s the way it goes. Considering how in flux the fashion world always is, it makes sense for designers to switch out to models that would work better with their clothes.

            • bitchybitchybitchy

Thanks for remembering Nazri’s name. She was a great model, as was Laura Bennett’s model, Camilla. they both worked everything they wore! Loved them.

          • disqus_LQmjCZP25F

It’s actually hard to believe that anyone “loved” Helen’s collection!

            • Chartreusite

I don’t know, I just really responded well to it. It was very different from what I usually see on project runway, if that makes any sense. I know it absolutely had its issues and I do think there were a several clunkers, but overall I really admired the red/orange+gray/blue/purple color palatte and the experimentation with silhouette.

          • MM4321

Agree! She is definitely not as warm and fuzzy as some others . . .but c’mon, she was a professional while they acted like sorority sisters! I high-fived the air last night when Helen pleaded, “Aren’t you going to say something?” and Alex just shook her head and whispered, “No.” Classic.

            • Chartreusite

Definitely. Ultimately it was probably best for her not to engage.

        • Winter_White

Did I dream this — or did Helen actually blame her emotional behavior during the challenges on her menstrual cycle??

Also: When Helen got sort of wild-eyed during her confrontation with Alexandria and said to her, “AM I CRAZY?!!” and Alexandria quietly replied, “Maybe.” … my husband was watching with me, and we both gasped, loudly and in unison! And then laughed so hard at ourselves. O, the draaammaa.

          • demidaemon

Yes, yes she did. She is a stand-up idol of feminism right now.

          • guest2visits

OHELLYESSHEDID I forget there was so much unbelievable conversation happening. Or yes; that action shot of Helen sneering up over her shoulder at Alexandria. What was that! Was Alexandria required to wear a GoPro on her forehead for the dramatic closeup of Helen’s bitchiness? I almost fell off the couch. Was this “Reunion: Season 12 – The Directors Cut”….?!

            • Winter_White

“that action shot of Helen sneering up over her shoulder at Alexandria.” Shudder…and lol.

          • swanpride

She must have a very strange cycle, if she had it twice during filming. But I really have to thank you for setting feminism back a couple of years.

        • swanpride

Alexandria never connected with the group. If you count out all the designers who left early, she was the only female of her own age group. Kate, Dom and Helen are roughly the same age and still too immature for a grown up woman. Ken had quite a beef with her because she dared to mention his behaviour during the group challenge in front of the judges. Bradon obviously has no problems to work professional with her, but I guess he was not happy that she kept stealing “his” model, and he has the tendency to not get involved either way. The same is true for Justin. So who should have come to her aid?
It’s not really Alexandria’s fault…this was a particularly horrible group of designers.

      • ShaoLinKitten

Her crack about “you’re a teacher!” was SO F-ING OFFENSIVE. As if her dislike of Helen (greatly justified, much more subtly expressed than Helen’s dislike of her) means Alexandria is a bad teacher. That is a ridiculous, vile personal attack designed to make Alexandria feel like shit, yet did Tim call her out on it? No–Sandro did. Screw Helen. She did exactly what she was accusing Tim of doing to her– trying to undermine Alexandria’s livelihood by making it seem like she’s incompetent at her calling. What a hypocrite. I hope her behavior on the show and on Twitter does lose her business. I know I would never, ever work with someone like that or give her my money.

        • bitchybitchybitchy

Alexandria’s interactions with the children at Camp Couture looked genuine and heartfelt to me, and gave me a different insight into her. Helen seems to have a lot of maturing to do. Hopefully she’ll figure that out sooner rather than later.

    • BuffaloBarbara

I love Seth Aaron — that’s totally why I’d do it. “I want the double title!” It’s about the best reason I’ve heard for doing this show.

      • marlie

        At least he’s honest.

        • BuffaloBarbara

Yeah. And I think I just like the idea of playing PR because you want to play the game part of it is the best way to go. Granted, the money would be helpful, but there are more respectable ways to get money (loans, working for another designer for awhile, selling shoes to Payless to financially back high fashion, whatever). But the chance to just play the game and see if you can win it? That’s a good reason to do PR.

    • BPlease

Boy have I not missed some of these folks (Christopher Palu, have several seats). But it’s so great to see Mychael and Korto.

        • SouthernGirlRena

Me too. I would have gotten distracted and started making a cute dog bed for Swatch. I would go home but the thought of him snoring away in it would be worth it.

          • bitchybitchybitchy

Let’s add a tough little punk vest for Swatch-in fact, forget the next challenge, let’s just snuggle up with Swatch.

    • GillianHolroyd

Wait, they didn’t mention money… can the designers just grab more fabric or notions if they need it, at any time? I like that…. Hairspray next to bolts of fabric? Hell no.

      • Cheryl

I assume GoBank isn’t a sponsor, so they’re not even focusing on the money. There might have been rules about how much fabric, but they didn’t specify.

Is punk really a hot fashion trend? I don’t recall noticing the trend during Fashion Week.

The most recent Met Gala had a punk theme, but that’s the only thing coming to mind.

        • demidaemon

This was the exact suit that he made for his first challenge on regular PR, just with the funky belt fringe thingy. He should have been the one auffed, in my opinion.

Perhaps our drinking game for PRAS should include the phrase “It’s sexy”. Mychael seems unable or unwiling to think beyond that as a concept for dressing women. Yes, sexy is fine, but we don’t have to look sexy 24/7, folks-I mean, do you want to be sexy while shopping/picking up the kids from school/meeting the inlaws for dinner? You get my drift?

Here is a thought for Mychael, and all the designers- I’d like to look put together, elegant, polished, too.

      • Swiftlytiltingplanet

        • BuffaloBarbara

Elena was having a bad time, and model said, “I sometimes wear my clothes backwards.” So she turned the jacket around.

It’s nice to not have the crazy smack you in the face the second you turn the TV on. Although there’s a lot of potential for crazy in that room.

        • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

          surely.

      • Swiftlytiltingplanet

I know! It’s like bizarro world!

        • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

i feel as if i am ON your swiftly tilting planet

      • Adrianna Grężak

I was shocked. I watched it online for the hell of it, and now I’m kind of excited. My one critque is that the editing was America’s Next Top Model style – I knew Elena was going to win half-way through the episode

    • Cheryl

What was cut? Something about Seth Aaron but it seemed they edited it out?

    • Swiftlytiltingplanet

Wow. I wasn’t expecting Elena to win. But I think it’s deserved – I thought it looked a little ’80’s at Mood, but it was great on the runway.

    • yatcho

Seth Aaron’s was wayyyy better than Elena’s imo.

      • MilaXX

I was okay with either of them winning to be honest. But looking at Debbie’s outfit, I figured Elena.

    • Swiftlytiltingplanet

And they just sent home the contestant with the most interesting back story. Who are these people?!

      • LJCdoc

Does that mean they kicked off Ari (West Coast here)? I hope not, I really liked her during her season, & I’d have expected her to last much longer.

        • Munchkn

So would I. She was one of the finalists during her season.

      • DeTrop

I thought her outfit was beautiful. Loved the colors and the design. Too bad about the shorts. She should have gone with leggings or a skirt. She should have been in the top 3 with Elena and Jeffrey. I’m punk’d already.

    • marlie

I’m really ,really disappointed that she was eliminated.

      • VictoriaDiNardo

Especially since they let pass that black suit with a neon frou-frou belt that Daniel sent out. Too bad.

        • marlie

YES. I forgot about that. I don’t have a problem with Daniel, but I wouldn’t have blinked at him being sent home this week.

          • MilaXX

I thought for sure he would go

        • Saturnine

I didn’t think Korto’s entry was remotely punk either.

        • Eric Stott

He DARED to parade that party favor in front of Deborah Harry?

          • VictoriaDiNardo

I KNOW – RIGHT? I can’t believe they let that pass and it shows what a class act madame is that she didn’t get up and slap him.

        • MoHub

          And Korto’s snoozefest.

    • otterbird

What? Peggy Olson is going to be a judge?! Cool.

    • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Aight, I can’t take these skinny bitches tonight. It’s 3/4 of an hour of them getting it wrong, the BAM last minute perfect (perfectly awful) find. Off to the DVR, Jessica Lange is calling me!!!

      • Swiftlytiltingplanet

I am oddly fascinated by the man with the 5 o’clock shadow and interesting wardrobe…

      • marlie

I can barely stand to watch the promos. There’s no way I’m watching the whole thing. Enjoy AHS. Last night was as batshit crazy as you would expect. :)

    • DottyMantooth

OMG she rolled her eyes SO HARD at “the beautiful Georgina Chapman.”
That was some PRO level eye rolling; I am in awe.

    • Fisher&SonsFuneralHome

This is terrible. It is unfortunate because she always looks radiant on Mistresses and is always dressed lovely.

    • guest2visits

I don’t see how Mychael skated passed a bad critique; his white dress/jacket combo was the auf worthy choice – the most unpunk-like to me, and Ari’s construction was better too.

The season 12 Reunion designers weren’t buying Tim’s speech about no favorites and the show not pulling the strings on who makes a good story, drama, etc.

      • Lisa_Co

Nice to know the dresstestants know exactly what PR is – a TV reality game show. Apparently, Tim isn’t willing (or due to confidentiality statements is unable) to admit that.

      • MilaXX

I thought Dan’s was auf worthy as well. He made his usual suit and put long pink finge around her waist and that was supposed to be punk?

As for Tim’s comments, when he said “Otherwise Mondo would have won.” I thought , “Yeah but then Anya did win, that’s a fake a narrative as you can get”

        • Sarah

Yeah, when Daniel showed the pink stuff I figured he’d fumble using it (it wasn’t a very “punk” thing, anyway) but I really didn’t expect him to just put it on the SAME SUIT he showed like three times before. Jeez.

        • guest2visits

Yes – Dan’s, Korto’s, Viktors, Ari’s, even Elena’s didn’t seem all that punk to me. I saw a lot of 80s style in that bunch; I just don’t know what the correct term is for that period of the 80s that is loud, post-punk and neon, big haired and colorful. 80s-glam? But even though they weren’t what I thought of as purely punk; they came off as well-made, and attractive. Not so much Mychael’s. Bulky, awkward looking jacket for the resort or poolside, Vegas. Even though too-short was the style, the dress seemed like an after thought.

I have NO idea what Tim could have meant by that comment…. did it even make sense? If the judges, (at least Heidi & MK) who are part of the production team as well, voted for the winner…. then how did the wrong person get voted for the win? I am missing something. Was Tim speaking for himself? I don’t know.

          • Eric Stott

Tim is now part of the show’s production and I’d expect him to say that – he might even believe it.

        • swanpride

I agree…in fact, he was my first pick.

      • MoHub

I actually snorted when Time mentioned his integrity. Sorry, but I believe Tim sold his integrity the day they made him a producer.

    • UsedtobeEP

Alas, I am torn between loyalties, and find myself watching the Red Sox. But next week I’ll be back. Thanks, T and Lo, for throwing us a bone. : )

      • Jackie4g

I watched the NJ Devils hockey game, and even if the Devils break my heart, it is still a better experience tan a PR Reunion show, in the long range scheme of things.

    • BPlease

The reunion is still making me mad – and I think Dom is a passive mean girl. I’m sorry, IMO the clothes themselves – not the prints – were not well-done and were not impressive for her final show. Yeah, her likeability was a factor, IMO. And Tim didn’t add to his glory in that moment, and I loved Alexander having his own ‘no. No, sir’ moment when Tim depressed his Integrity Button and gave that little speech. I *loved* Alexander for that.

      • Munchkn

Yea, that exchange took down Dom a peg in my book.

        • sisterb67

That reunion was so crazy making (the Alexandria pile-on, Sandro being himself, etc.), I wish I had that hour of my life back.

        • blondie65

Agree. I am also disappointed that Dom seems to be part of the in-crowd mean girl clique. I was glad to see Alexander stand up for himself too. I was also disappointed in Jeremy and his snarkiness about Bradon’s proposal. And I thought Bradon’s response was well said…that he (Bradon) just want what Jeremy already had and would hope Jeremy would be supportive of that…or something to that degree…

          • Sarah

Yeah, Bradon spoke really well to that bit of bitchery. Good for him. He didn’t get his ire up a bit (and he had a right to) AND he managed to turn it around and stick it in Jeremy’s face.

          • disqus_LQmjCZP25F

I like Bradon, but thought his marriage proposal was a bit too much and totally not appropriate for the show. He took center stage when he had no business to do that for his personal life. Totally agree with Jeremy’s comment.

            • Eric Stott

I wouldn’t say it was inappropriate – it was attention grabbing, but so was Mondo’s announcement of his HIV+ status , which I think was equally calculated.

            • swanpride

              Maybe, but
              1. Whose Spotlight exactly did Bradon steal? He already won the challenge when he made the proposal.
              2. This was the only time Bradon did anything which could be constructed as trying to win over the audience with a sob story. I can believe that he was just overcome with emotions and perhaps he wanted to set a sign for gay marriage this way. I think if he had ulterior motives it was more about drawing a little bit more attention to the theme than about winning Project Runway
              3. Jeremy was the one who wrote a love letter on a dress and talked a whole episode about his dead Grandmother (who was not even his but the one of live partner????). He is the LAST GUY who has the right to point fingers. But most likely he was the first one who did because his own tactic was very much like this.

      • guest2visits

Agree. I saw Dom’s reactions tonight and she should be very grateful the judging went her way last week. Her collection was not a slam-dunk. The backs of most all her pieces showed fudged closures, and the straps didn’t lay correctly. The choice of the shiny fabric wasn’t really that compatible with the rest, the styling wasn’t helping, and all in all it wasn’t as sharply constructed or cohesive as Alexandria’s. But her prints were beautiful, and showed well in the way she designed her pieces. And she always seemed pretty nice to me; so it was easy to pull for her.
Alexandria’s work put her in first place; but I don’t really like her aesthetic – weird? I’m just not drawn to that slouchy, baggy, high priced couture look for waifs. Slippery little odds and ends that won’t hang right on anyone under six foot or over 80lbs. Maybe that’s why it was a close call, for me anyway.
Alexander and many others, I think – definitely have their own experience with what really happens on PR; no matter what Tim is trying to convince them of. I saw a lot of steely eyes tonight.

        • Michelle Wilson

In anger I actually took the time to check the auctions tonight and do the math. The fans who voted with their dollars preferred Alexandria’s collection over all the others, including Dom’s, by a wide margin.

          Final Collection Auction results:
          Alexandria $2,843
          Dom $1,594
          Justin $1.552
          Kate $1,384
          Bradon $804
          Helen $647
          Alexander $468
          Jeremy $428

I’ve never been one to believe it’s all about the bottom line, but Dom should thank her lucky stars for judge favoritism and Producer intervention. And then she should apologize to Alexandria for helping push the narrative that Helen and Kate were more deserving of Alexandria’s spot in the final. And Kate fan’s should redirect their anger at Helen for “stealing” Kate’s spot instead of Alexandria.

          • guest2visits

Not surprised Alexandria’s did well; it was chic, fashionable, well-made. Over on BloggingProjectRunway she gives her interview about the show, and her store-site. She also mentions last night’s reunion escapades.
It must have been easy to make someone who worked in such an intense and solitary manner into just another villian (this season was loaded). I know she wasn’t perfect and made her share of little snarky comments and played the game a bit as well – but so did everyone there. She was a lot more even-tempered and less offensive than say, Helen for one.
I have NO doubts Alexandria will be a sought after designer, she’s very skilled and already knows how to run a business….and she’s clearly passionate about her work/art.

            • GillianHolroyd

I am looking for Alexandria’s interview at the BPR website but I don’t see it.

            • guest2visits

Scroll down, down (Bert Keeter has a collection – yay!), past all that there’s the interview with Alexandria, click where it says: Click Here for full Interview, in pink letters, at the bottom of the short synopsis. Hope that works.

            • Lisa_Co

Kind of surprised Alexandria called Zac out for not saying her name right (he called her AlexanDRA not AlexanDRIA). Not sure that was a smart move.

          • DuBey2

Wait, I didn’t know about this: where can I buy Dom’s in like a size 6? Seriously I did not see an auction where we could buy. Will people actually WEAR, for example, Justin’s awesome (but impossible for real life riding in a car to an event etc…) white testtube gown?

            • Michelle Wilson

They didn’t really do a very good job of communicating the auction website. The auctions are over now but you can see the results at projectrunway dot com.

            • Pril Wood

Do the designers even get a cent of this money?

            • Michelle Wilson

              No.

        • DuBey2

This: “I’m just not drawn to that slouchy, baggy, high priced couture look for waifs. Slippery little odds and ends that won’t hang right on anyone under six foot or over 80lbs. Maybe that’s why it was a close call, for me anyway.” is how I feel also about Alexandria’s, but it was SO cool as a collection and well styled on the runway.
Although I did love Dom’s and I agreed completely with TLo’s assessment of the final order of winners.
As for the reunion show: I did not and WILL not watch it. Don’t care to give anymore airtime to the Drama aspect of the show. I prefer the actual Runway footage each week (all 10 seconds of it!!!??)

          • guest2visits

Those last 10 seconds of RW go by ridiculously fast. I watched the Reunion. It was amazing, actually. I couldn’t believe what came out in that short of a time span. They need a Part 2. Yes, it was drama. But this time the format of the show was seriously questioned by the DESIGNERS! Not so much about the parameters of time, or types of challenges; but about how the show messes with the designers; how they treat them and how they portray them. Alexandria & others spoke very well about it. Even Sandro had a point, although it was in extreme, Boris Badenov style. I thought he was hilarious. There was the usual last minute back stabbing, too. Which is the WHOLE reason for the reunion, of course. But it was also a bit more information about who the designers are and what they’re doing post show.

        • Nicole Rico

the reunion episode really has made me hate dom. she had a shitty attitude. and her final collection was TACKY.

      • BPlease

I also wish that Alexandria had calmly bulleted out what makes Helen ‘disgusting.’ Okay, I don’t really wish that, and am impressed at Alexandria’s calm. But the reasons to dislike Helen don’t make for a short list.

        • Fannie Wolston

That wimp Helen, a whiner, a crybaby, plays the blame game only to have it expose her insecurities to a wider audience. Alexandria was cool to brush her off as if she was a gnat.

      • ShaoLinKitten

I love Alexander Pope. Loved his decoy collection, loved how he spoke truth to power, and didn’t allow Tim to railroad him. My hero!

        • Eric Stott

I’m liking Tim a bit less these last seasons, and he didn’t come off well here- but he’s never been any good at acting or reading scripts.

      • swanpride

I wanted to hug Alexander when he fought back against this piece of polemic.

    • BPlease

I’m the lone lunatic watching Million Dollar Shoppers….staged out the wazoo or not, some of these clients are genuine assholes – the real deal. Seeing someone with the attitude of Fresh Kills whine about Hermes is enervating me! And yet I watch!

      • Munchkn

No, you’re not the lone lunatic watching it. I could not believe that woman who turned down the Birkin because it may have been slightly used or in the color she wanted. I’ll still take that one I found the other day in a dream.

      • Jackie4g

I watch in horror and I have felt distaste, aversion and finally pity. The NFL lifestyle doesn’t last forever and with all that conspicuous consumption going on, neither will the money. Then what becomes of those silly geese?

      • Kate4queen

I’m watching it but the clients are just awful… I like the shoppers though!

      • nannypoo

        Cannot look away.

      • jayetyler

I swore I wasn’t going to watch it but got sucked into the gawd-awfulness of the clients. Reminds me of the sweet sixteen show that MTV had (and I’d get sucked into while channel flipping). Just when you thought someone couldn’t be more spoiled/rude/entitled, she’d get a thousand times worse.

    • Diego!

I’m sorry if I sound rude but this dress was made for someone who owns longer legs or is at least 5′ 9″ (1.75mts) tall. Honey, and that is not your hair color either, it makes you look as if you were already a grandma.

    • Demeter

I would so much like to find a place where I could show support for Alexandria and let her know that Helen is just a spoiled, whiny, little person who is aggressive if she thinks she can get away with it.

      • Ginny Ellsworth

I bet if you google her, you would find a way to contact her. Maybe even FB. I’m hoping she gets snapped up by a design house or investment angel to support her vision. Her runway show literally made me switch my support to her winning the whole enchilada. I hope she does well. As she pointed out, she does know how to run a business. Wonder if she will show up on Kickstarter?

      • Sarah

You have found that place, because I totally agree with you. And when she answered “Maybe.” to the “am I crazy?!??” question I was like HELL YES.

        • Nicole Rico

that was the best moment of the entire show. =)

        • alyce1213

Helen has not learned that you don’t ask “am I crazy?” — or any question that you don’t want to hear the answer to. The reunion made me hate Helen even more.

          • Sarah

Oh, she wanted an answer. She wanted it to be “No, Helen, you’re smart and talented. I’m a big dumb bitch who should never have crossed you. So sorry for breathing.” Unfortunately, it ain’t Helen’s world.

        • Swiftlytiltingplanet

That was me that was yelling back at the TV with you, in case you were wondering.

          • Sarah

            Ah, that explains it ;)

      • tallgirl1204

I came here this morning just for that reason: Alexandria is perhaps a little too sincere for reality t.v. (which is more of a compliment than a criticism), and she is a class act. I wish her well, and believe me, if I was hiring for any job at my office, I’d rather have a keep-your-head-down-and-work-hard-serious-type like Alexandria who knows how to work with others and loves children (as evidenced by her sewing camp) than a mean drama girl. Alexandria, you get to Flagstaff, you give me a call and I would LOVE to take you out for beverage of your choice.

        • swanpride

I think Alexandria is not totally without fault. I can see that it might be difficult to deal with her personality, since she tends to hide how she really feels about things until she is asked. And I guess her little fight over the best model with Bradon (happened off-screen) didn’t exactly endear her. But that doesn’t change the fact that she did nothing to deserve being treated that way. Good for her that she keep her calm when Helen had yet another of her dramatic episodes.

      • BPlease

I signed into Twitter for the first time in a month – I have no followers, and just follow folks – to Tweet Kate and Helen about their abominable behavior. I’m sure I’m blocked – have no real concept of how it works. That’s a back-asswards way to support A. but it felt warranted. Helen posted a pic of her father mocking one of Alexandria’s facial expressions. She’s unbelievably mean.

        • Pril Wood

          she’s on facebook

      • Presumptuous Insect

I just saw the picture that Helen posted where her father mocks Alexandria’s face. So awful. I tweeted in response:

“Now begins your slide into obscurity. That is what happens to mean-spirited, self-absorbed people who post such pictures.”

        • disqus_LQmjCZP25F

Nice example daddy sets for her. Makes sense, though when you see her behavior.

          • MoHub

Well, I figured from the get-go that Helen’s parents spoil her and enable her delusions of superiority.

        • myristica_fragrans

          i’ll pray for you.

    • NYCGlamourpuss

I find it comical that she wore THAT to a fashion TV program event.

    • VicksieDo

I really enjoyed this one, will be watching! Miss you TLo!

    • Nicole Rico

Please at least write about last night’s reunion episode and how much of a bitch afterschool special was. Her and dom kept being totally bitchy, smirking and rolling their eyes at everything. I wanted to punch my tv.

    • MaggieMae

      Go away, Peter Pilotto.

    • Anplica Fiore

      Horrible dress.

    • Sarah

Can I just point out how much trouble Tim went to to give Helen an out on her “quirky process” instead of calling her on being a big ‘ol bitchy brat, and she even got shitty with HIM? UM, SURE you’re a professional. EVERYONE wants to hire someone who admits on national television that they fall to pieces when they menstruate.

      • Pril Wood

I never really found it in myself to get much worked up during the season when Helen started to whine, but after the reunion I am beginning to actually loathe her… I can only imagine that this show is going to negatively effect her saleability in the future

    • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

The sad thing is, she probably loves this dress and thinks she is WERQING it. I can’t stand Peter Pilotto. His designs are dry heaves in dress form.

    • KinoEye

Yikes. This might be one of those dresses that works for models only, or for our PhD level dress wearers. I’m not even sure about that, though. But I dig the earrings.

    • Ann VerWiebe

From the thumbnail, it looks like she’s wearing a sling.

    • jw_ny

When I heard Alyssa state that she’d wear Jeffrey’s poofy punk dress, and Georgina being part of this too, I realized we were going to be in for a semi-cracktastic season. This is not her dress…the model is barely making it work. Jeffrey’s punk dress….Alyssa would look like a hot mess in that. (Honestly, I thought his was gonna be in the bottom 3…then they started praising it. omg. )

    • valerie747

If you can’t say nuthin’ nice, don’t say nuthin’ at all. It’s nice Miss Alyssa has a job.

    • Shawn EH

She’s overthinking everything. Do I actually miss the comparitively down-to-earth appeal of Charmed?

    • JaCory Deon

Well, it’s the sort of dress someone very tall, pale, and statuesque ala Nicole Kidman could pull off. Alyssa, bless her heart, is just too short, has too little neck, and is the wrong coloring for it. Sometimes these actresses forget that just because they put you on magazine covers doesn’t mean you’re a real model, or can do what models do. Girl.

    • NBG

The dress is bad enough but her makeup person also obviously peeved about something and took out her revenge on Alyssa’s face.

    • Presumptuous Insect

Helen, gah. Really self-absorbed. She is a classic example of somebody who has no idea what kind of skills it takes to be successful in a competitive business. Shitting on people isn’t going to work. Doesn’t she realize that what she did to Alexandria is going to make everyone–everyone–think that she is not someone they want to work with, because it will just be a matter of time before she tries to publically shame *them*. Disgusting sense of privilege.

      • Kate4queen

She was Awful so entitled. I actually felt sorry for Alexandria being ganged up on by the mean girls. And what was with Kate constantly smoothing Helen’s back like she was comforting her? ugh ladies grow up.

        • Pril Wood

Exactly. These are little girls still acting like they are in high school– no worse, Middle school. Alexandria is a grown woman and didn’t stoop to their level. Good for her.

        • swanpride

Not surprising…I never bought Kate’s “I’m such a nice girl” act. She is a typical high school brat of the kind who stabs everyone in the back in order to belong to the more popular group. It didn’t work during her first try because the designer in this season were a very mature group full of people who were able to leave their difference mostly out of the workroom. But this season was perfect for her tactics…I think I have never seen a worse group of people. I feel really sorry for Bradon, Alexander and Alexandria that they had to deal with them.

    • Courtney Cne’

I’ll never understand the allure of a Peter Pilotto dress. This doesn’t even look good on the model. It’s giving little Alyssa the shoulders of a line backer and the legs of the Lollipop guild. The less said about what it’s doing to her waist, the better.

    • the_elle_word

Okay, now I’m curious about the reunion show, and home sick with time to kill. Anyone know where I can find it online? Google isn’t helping me. Maybe it’s the fever…

    • guest2visits

Did anyone bring up the charming little green velvet, kitten-eared hat Karen wore to the reunion? Loved it.
Also, wouldn’t it be the perfect BK members-only accessory? (besides an empty wine glass) Like the Mouseketeers-beanie only for those more refined types with a thing for witty (and fabulous) snark about fashion.

    • BrooklynBomber

Awful awful awful. Plus, that hair color is not her friend.

    • http://weirdinedgewise.blogspot.com ONEWEIRDWORD

she’s got such a nice smile

    • berlinmama

      WHY_WHY_WHY is she a judge?!

    • Fannie Wolston

She did a good job as hostess of the runway. But is she at all familiar with the designers on the show?
