She looks pretty mature in this dress, and that’s saying something considering her youthful mien. Nice!
I thought the same thing, but with a much less positive bent. She’s got 80s soap opera hair and is wearing a widower dress. This is not good mature in my opinion.
I will concede that I’m always forgiving of hair like that because I may have a similar headsuit myself, so maybe I’m not an impartial judge.
The first babyheads of the 2013 Fall Awards season! Awwww….
Red pedi would have been a nice touch. Would like a close-up of the ring.
Oofta. Hate the dress, it looks itchy and cheap. The hair isn’t really working for me either. On the plus side, she is forever gorgeous, and it’s nice to see some maturity in her face. Not to say she looks, old, simply closer to her actual age.
I kinda hate that dress. It’s like a dress Jay McCarroll would make in a “You have 4 hours to make a dress for a funeral” challenge.
Is she one of the kids on Real Housewives of New Jersey?
She’s on Modern Family and moonlights as a Mila Kunis impersonator.
World’s Youngest Cougar.
My day has been made. Seriously, I’ve had one of those laughs they say you should have daily, loud and unending.
And (to reference TLO’s educational comment from the Sienna Miller post) it’s got Sicilian Widow written all over it indeed.
Happy to be of service!
The shreddy hair matches the shreddy fabric at any rate.
That dress and her hair both need to be cleaned up.
Ariel Winter wins.
eta: I do like her makeup, showing some restraint on the heavy, smoky eye she usually wears.
My circa 1983 self would like her hair back, actually you can keep it…
That’s a fine enough LBD. No complaints. I’d have preferred a simple pony tail to whatever’s going on with her hair, though. Looks like a fallen hairspray souffle. But her face looks great. Man, she’s got some gorgeous eyes.
My first thoughts when I looked at this were “cheap hussy.” Which is odd since nobody calls anyone that. There’s a certain old-movie hussy villain quality going on with the tightness and satin. I feel like she should have pointed red fingernails and be walking out of the heroine’s front door with her husband.
Everything about this look is aging and not at all flattering. Her stylist, hair person, and make-up “artist” should ALL be flogged. Sarah – go home, have a nap and try again.
This seems a bit too serious. Maybe a ponytail and sandals?
A gorgeous 40 year old woman!
I get the feeling she doesn’t know how to dress her age because she looks a good 8 years younger than what she really is. When she goes for adult it looks like play clothes and when she dresses her age, she only hits about 16
She looks like Tiffani Thiessen circa Saved by the Bell, the College Years. Dress is too tight and too boring.
No. With her debauched baby face, anything with the slightest bit of frou (it doesn’t even have to get to frou-frou) is too reminiscent of boudoir, and/or Madame Alexander doll.
She is so pretty. Look at that glowing skin.
Not loving any of this. The dress is too mature and yet some how is giving her a pooch, and the makeup is too heavy. I’m not sure if she’s trying to dress sexy and failing or if this is just bad taste. Either way it’s not working at all.
How old is she? I can’t decide based on face and outfit, the two seem to be clashing. I do like the clutch.
Hey, that’s my hairstyle from my 1989 school picture. I’m a fashion icon! Therefore, I’m qualified to tell her that her dress is too tight.
The dress and hair age her. The clutch is awesome though
Did someone set her hair on fire?
Girl loves wearing war paint doesn’t she?
Vegas funeral. Dead guy’s third wife.
what. was. that. and why? why???
Its hard to have that baby face and figure out a look and makeup that is appropriate but doesn’t make you look perpetually 14. And the girl had kidney disease and I believe a transplant, and I wonder if the excessive makeup covers up some residual insecurity from when she truly wasn’t vibrant and healthy. I read an interview where she said that they had to find a way for her to sit or perch on something during Modern Family scenes because she was too fatigued to stand. It can take a long time to recover both physically and mentally from that kind of health issue, especially in one so young. The anti-rejection drugs may also make her extra puffy. Just glad to see her standing!
Oh hair and dress match! ratty, not pretty.
Her hair looks like Jake’s girlfriend’s ‘do after it got cut away from being stuck in a car door! That’s a straight-up ‘Sixteen Candles’ reference for you young’uns.
Boring as hell, terrible hair.
Why does her hair look so terrible? Or is this a young people fashion thing I’m not getting…?
I like the look. She’s beautiful. The red purse adds a little necessary color with her lips. Her hair doesn’t look messy to me; it looks casual. Nice and thick.
Honey, it’s bad enough when your cat sheds on your dress. But when the cat SHREDS the dress, it’s just sad.
I’m not feelin this. The hair with the dress with the red bag with the makeup is too much. If her hair had been sleek and back, then we could have talked.
Why does she always dress so OLD? And I hate how the lace looks so… haphazard.
What is UUUUUP with that hair. NO.
