Marchesa 2014? Really? Who was the last person who did this? It’s looking very, very familiar!

      • MilaXX

Because it’s trademark Marchesa, ruffles and frou frou everywhere.

    • elizonthelam

      I want her shoes!

    • alyce1213

From the neck up, a goddess. Perfect face-makeup-hair. Below that, Marchesa frou-frou crap.
      Look at her arms!

      • kirkyo

I’d extend this to the waist up. It’s at the waist down where it all heads south for me for said reasons.

      • fursa_saida

She’s just so beautiful, I can’t really focus on anything else. Which is how I also felt during Skyfall. Who Bond? Bond who?

    • MilaXX

bleech! This dress is everything I dislike about Marchesa dresses. Too much frou frou sometimes distracts from seeing a really pretty woman.

    • Kiltdntiltd

Really not her dress, for all that she is perfection of face and form.

      • teensmom99

I actually think that she wears it better than any one else could.

    • Danielle

I’m having some major arm lust! Those are some toned biceps!

    • Trickytrisha

1950’s prom dress. She’s divine though. Totally gorgeous.

    • flamingoNW

How on earth do people wear pumps like that when they’re way too big like that. SMH

    • Tatiana Luján

I admire this woman so much, she is a great actress.

    • annabelle archer

Prettiest girl at the Goth Prom.

    • filmcricket

For the dress to work even remotely it needs to be tea length. I’d toss it out and start over for preference though.

    • marlie

Overall, I like the look. Naomie looks beautiful from the neck up. I’m glad she went with a simple ‘do, since the dress is so fussy. The dress is typical Marchesa-busy, but it’s pretty. My only criticism is that I wish it was a skosh shorter. And the shoes make the whole looks a little edgier, rather than pretty-pretty-princessy.

    • Jacquelyn

That dress needs to be a heck of a lot shorter to avoid the appearance of no legs like in the first pic.

    • Laurie Landry

The shoes! The face! And I like the upper half of the dress.

    • Imasewsure

Nothing looks good here… keep the shoes and start over

    • nannypoo

She is beautiful. She deserves a better dress.

    • Lori

It looks like some crafty Goth chick dyed her grandma’s prom dress black.

    • Kimbolina

She is gorgeous. The dress, not so much. Kind of an awkward length, too.

    • quiltrx

I generally am in the Marchesa minority…but I can’t sign off on this. The bodice or the skirt, not both. Comes off rather goth prom.
And I want those shoes–I almost never wear heels (I’m 5’11” and a big girl), but I think these would make me endlessly happy just to walk around in.

    • Synnamin

Why do I even look at Marchesa Whiteboards? Because I am always, “ugh. so much lace and ruffles. Oh. It’s Marchesa. Of course.”

    • Celeste

      That lipstick is perfection.

    • PastryGoddess

      Hello bitches “Behold my FACE”

    • SpillinTea

HATE the dress. But she is absolutely flawless so I’ll let it slide. FIERCE hunty!

    • SpillinTea

And she is giving me Chocolate Selma Blair too. All the more reason to live for her.

    • demidaemon

Nope. I’m also not a big fan of the color against her skin. I would have preferred something brighter or lighter.

    • agentilities

can we get an Idris post please, TLO?

    • Julie Chase

THAT FACE THOUGH. For the love of being crazy pretty.

    • TAGinMO

Okay, yes, MarchesaBAD! and all of that. And yet, she looks beautiful, tip to toe.

A “whole-is-better-than-the-sum-of-its-parts” WERQ for me…but apparently I’m the only one.

    • wontons

It’s all a bit much. But I’d love to see an ensemble built around those shoes.

    • Miss WKS

    • SewingSiren

Classic beauty from head to toe.

    • MoHub

Did we really need a caption to know it’s Marchesa? It’s a pure “of course.”

    • Erica_Vuitton

I wish they had hacked off the last layer but other than that I actually really like the look (and normally I think Marchesa is so overworked)! Her make up is just perfect and I LOVE the silver pump.

    • TropiCarla

      Ahh, Calypso. I love you.
Incidentally, I rocked that hairstyle my entire Sophomore year at college. A sister was hurting for proper black hair stylists in Des Moines, IA.

    • Deborah Lipp

    • bertkeeter

Get shoes that fit… Then we will talk!

    • formerlyAnon

Love her face, but I don’t think the hair and the dress mesh. Hair is grown up elegant restraint. Dress is . . . too frou frou.

    • livesarah

The top of the dress is passable, not great. The skirt is an abomination. My eyes silently screamed as I scrolled down- the thumbnails were actually quite promising! She nailed the hair and makeup though- gorgeous.

    • bringbackbeatles

I know I’m in the minority here, but I love, love, love the top of this dress. The skirt is okay and it would go a long way to shorten to at least where it hits the model’s legs. The shos are fab, but they seem incongruous to me. Face and hair look great. She is a gorgeous woman. Also love her ring and her biceps. I wish that I had arms that toned. Her complexion is really beautiful too.
