Naomie Harris at the Burberry Prorsum Spring 2014 Show

Posted on September 17, 2013

First off, we’ve been featuring her steadily on the site for the past month and we just now found out she was Miss Moneypenny in the last Bond film and we kind of loved her in that part. But is she a chameleon, or what?  She looks totally different now. We’re partial to the curls, Naomi. The flat-ironed hair has a short shelf life. Just sayin’.

Second, the European fashion week attendees always put the American ones to shame:

Naomie Harris attends the Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer 2014 show during London Fashion Week in Burberry.

We just got back from another sweaty, frantic, shovefest known as New York Fashion Week and we can count on one hand the number of people who looked this good at any of the events. She’s utterly, perfectly chic. Not a thing out of place.

      Great color for her.

      • livesarah

If I hadn’t seen it here I’d never have believed it would really suit anyone! She looks great.

Clean lined and simple does it.

      • Blair Sylvester

given the collection she watched lets highlight the lined part (i know thats not what you meant but it was my first thought

    • SewingSiren

You really can’t go wrong with a well cut sheath and nice pair of heels. That is one dangerous armhole though.

      • ballerinawithagun

She is built to wear that armhole.

      • kimmeister

When the uncles said not a thing was out of place, that included her boobies as well.

    • Diego!

Beautiful color in juxtaposition with her perfect skin, she looks amazing!!!

      Good morning, Miss Lady.

    • Judy_S

      Elegant sideboob. Whodathunk it?

      • 3boysful

I know. It is fairly risque from a sideboob standpoint, but the front isn’t cut low, and the hem is no where near gynecological exam proportions. I think “elegant and sexy” is where you go all on one body part, not where you see with how little fabric a dress can be made. (Took me while to figure out how not to end that sentence without a preposition!)

        • marlie

Actually, it IS ok to end a sentence with a preposition in some instances. ;)

But I agree… a little hint of sideboob is tastefully sexy when everything else is fairly modest. THAT’S how it’s supposed to be done.

      • conniemd

Yeah, but a lot of the sideboob is covered by her hair. :)

    • filmcricket

She’s so gorgeous. I didn’t see the Bond flick, but I can report that she’s amazing as Winnie Mandela. This dress is nice, but it’s mostly about her. Pulling off pale mustard is a feat!

      • BarniClaw

I haven’t seen either of those, but she was so good in The First Grader! Looking forward to seeing her as Winnie. And anything else she does. (Oh, just IMDBd and saw that she was Hortense in Small Island. Loved her in that, too.)

      • fursa_saida

Loved her in Bond, cannot WAIT for her Winnie Mandela. Every time I see the trailer I get unreasonably excited (for everything, not just her).

    • veleri

simple and sophisticated, yet classic and young. I like it.

    • ewes_urn_aim

“Not a thing out of place”? Really? Not even her toes clinging for dear life in shoes a skosh too small?

    • teensmom99

Just to be totally picky re such perfection: a little more color on the lip would have been nice.

    • another_laura

Oh THAT’s it, Moneypenny! I could not place the face.

She looks elegant here and hardly anybody tries for elegant. le sigh….

    • MilaXX

I thought you guys were aware of that. I liked her as Moneypenny. Hopefully she gets to return to the franchise. Anyway I have quibbles about this look. The lips need just a touch more color and the shoes are a hair too small.

    • Mismarker

She’s gorgeous and I love this on her. She also played Calypso in two of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Total chameleon!

      • random_poster

I was astounded when I first found that out. She’s fabulous!

    • sagecreek

      She looks effortless. Brava!

    • Lilak

Also co-female-lead with Ruth Wilson (!) in ‘Small Island’ … with Cumberbatch (!) and David Oyelowo (!). A big ol’ soap opera, but willing to suffer it for the awesome cast, who did better in it than the script deserved.
Anyway … have always loved Naomie — on camera and off — she always shows up.

    • GillianHolroyd

      “28 Days Later” anyone?

      • Kike Martínez

Yes, she was awesome in that movie!!!

    • MaggieMae

      Love it.

    • TropiCarla

She’s DEFINITELY a Shifter. If you compare this to screenshots of her in the Bond film and Pirates of the Caribbean, it boggles the mind! LUV HUH!

    • Danielle West

She’s also the actress who played Selena in 28 Days Later. Quite a dramatic change.

    • Meredith

WOW she looks different. And way better.

    • jen

Totally agree with you boys about the curly hair being better on her. She is so freaking gorgeous!

    • formerlyAnon

      Awesome. Period.

    • decormaven

      Great classy look. Kudos!

    • boldprint

that is one tiny waist! she looks gorgeous and confident.

    • Trickytrisha

This woman is blessed with beautiful features, skin, body, hair – heck, even her feet are elegant. So lovely to have a new paragon to sigh over.

    • nancymae

She is perfection in that second photo! Can’t wait to see her in Mandela with the hotness that is Idris Elba.

    • marlie

I *adore* her. And I love the color of this dress on her.

    • julnyes

      Luv Huh
