She looks great. Red carpet Catherine O’Hara realness.

    • kirkyo

      Yes! Great reference.

  • kimmeister

Aw, Meredith cleans up nicely. If the hem were 3″ shorter, and the shoes a size smaller, it would be perfect.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_QFW22QV426LUOEPGASPZJWJMDE MishaFoomin

Why do the shoes need to be a size smaller?

      • kimmeister

Because they are too big. You can see a gap between her heel and the shoe in the first picture.

    • SugarSnap108

Yeah, I’d like a shorter hem. At this length, it’s a little too 1950s housewife. She looks very pretty, though.

  • carlaaxtman

Cute dress..but she needs a piece of statement jewelry. Also, the styling for this dress seems way off to me. Too understated.

  • Aldona Dye

She looks like she loves how she looks!

(not loving the shoes though, minor quibble)

  • hughman

I think she looks great and I would definitely hire her to nanny my kids.

  • MilaXX

Major props. Probably the best she has ever looked.

  • Julie Chase

Beautiful dress, though I prefer the longer version. The color is great with her hair.

My husband and I stopped one happy hour at a bar near our offices in Philly a few years ago and were taken aback by all of the signed The Office memorabilia inside. We asked the bartender how they came about acquiring all of it and he said “You know the drunk redhead Meredith? That’s my sister Katie.”

We are BOTH Captain Oblivious, the place was called friggin Flannery’s. :)

    • alyce1213

      Good story.

    • Coleen

Butch! Butch Flannery is the best. I’m bummed that they closed the bar.

  • YourBaloneyDontGotNoSecondName

Look at her face. Girlfriend knows, yes she does.

  • Jacquelyn

It looks really good on her! Nice job, Kate.

  • alyce1213

What, so Christina Hendricks can’t find something nice like this?
    Lovely.

    • omg_dora

CH would have to have it altered it quite a bit to fit her. Not saying it’s impossible, just saying. And it may end up looking matronly on her, too.

  • formerlyAnon

Nice dress, but the best thing is her smile.

  • poggi

She looks great. I like this dress and love the gown.

  • nannypoo

I would love to have that dress. She looks great.

  • Alloy Jane

She looks lovely and I dig the dress, but good grief I can never unsee her as Meredith of the tube top as dress either showing cooch or boobs. That had me in hysterics.

    • DarcSwan

Dammit Meredith, where are your panties?!

  • Tanya Wade

Perfect color for her – a win!

  • Anne At Large

Another win for Tadashi Shoji. Loving this on her. Or me, for that matter, pretty please?

  • Fordzo

Her hair. I want it. It is such a pretty color, and it’s so soft looking.

  • PastryGoddess

Luv Huh. And that hair is fab

  • quiltrx

Love the dress, and it’s really flattering on her!

  • AnneElliot

Pretty, but I’d love to see the long version, which I find absolutely stunning. But she looks great, it’s a great color on her.

    • MoHub

For some reason, the full-length version reads less matronly than the shorter one. Or maybe that’s just me.

      • gsk241

It’s not just you. There’s something about the shorter length that just doesn’t work as well as the longer.

  • Maya

    i want that dress!

  • ankali

She looks fantastic. Would have gone with a different shoe, though.

  • decormaven

Good choice! She is happy & know she looks good- the best accessory of all.

  • PeggyOC

You look darling. Now stop doing that with your skirt. You’re not 4 years old.

  • MartyBellerMask

Yeah! She looks great! A little too pose-y, but she’s a red carpet novice so she’ll learn. :)

  • marlie

Nice! The shoes are a skosh matronly, and I prefer the dress in the gown length as on the model, but still, Kate looks great here.

  • Aaminah Khan

I love how happy she looks. The best accessory is feeling fab.

  • Dan_In_NYC

It’s a great shape for her and she’s loving herself in it, which is always fun to see. Agree the shoes are bad.

Something about the length and shape – potentially combined with that sleeve and pattern has it feeling a little 50s housewife-y which is where I think all the matronly comments are coming from.
