Joseph Gordon-Levitt in New York City

Posted on September 26, 2013

Just a happy reminder to some of our kittens.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt spotted returning to his hotel in New York City. He’s in town promoting his new film, “Don Jon.”

It’s sweater weather time again.

And for those of you who don’t get sweater weather, condescending pity.

    • JDreesen

and I love condescending pity! so this post is a win for both of us! internet high-five!

      • Blair Sylvester

I love great clothing and condescending pity in the same place!

        • JDreesen

          aaahhhh….[bobs head knowlingly].

so you’ve attended NY Fashion Week.

          • Blair Sylvester

worked the door in my interns uniform of head to toe black. and i dont really like black. I’m only fancy on the internet

          • JDreesen

i’m the same way about showering.

oh, i’ve…ive said too much. [scrambles to turn off webcam and bin a pile of used moist towelettes]

          • Blair Sylvester

Haha you’ve made me laugh several times in the last couple of minutes so cheers!

  • PastryGoddess

    Followed by weathering scorn…

Love that sweater and the wearer

    • leahpapa

Amen! Keep your Hemsworth alphamales and give me a well-dressed song-and-dance man any day of the week. (Preferably a week in autumn.)

      • giddypony

I’ll have both, thank you very much – in one package is always nice (aka Hugh Jackman.)

  • hughman

After Billy puked orange juice all over the frog during science class, Dad was kind enough to bring him an extra shirt to school.

    • Jessica Freeman

..I was thinking that about the shoes…

      • Lanus

Oh, god every cute boy in college had those shoes, and they all wore them with khaki’s and frayed oxfords and had a HORRIBLE HABIT OF NOT CALLING OR STOPPING BY….

        but….I’ve said too much.

        • Lanus

Also, I know full well that khakis should not have had an apostrophe, there. A little Freudian on the “possessive” as I walked down memory lane, I fear.

          • jjtxgrrl

You are awesome and I agree w all of the above! πŸ˜‰

    • MartyBellerMask

That’s got to be better than the real explanation. πŸ™‚

  • jackiexx

Gorgeous sweater but I feel like the hem of his pants are cuffed just one too many times
(also random side note, did anyone see JGL’s epic lip sync battle on Jimmy Fallon the other night? it was awesome)

    • filmcricket

      Agreed on the cuffs.

    • lrober03

Agreed on the lip sync battle. I was impressed by his version of superbass

    • Angela_the_Librarian

I just re-watched it because I have a presentation later this afternoon and it helps to cut the nerves. So funny πŸ™‚

I just want to pocket yummy cute.

    • majorbedhead

I think I’ve watched that a dozen times now. So full of awesome.

    • ItsDicey

Yes, it’s hilarious. Laughed so hard. Many times,

  • BayTampaBay

I know I am showing my age BUT…..who is this person and what is his claim to fame?

  • PlethoraofBooks

    Mmmm… sweater weather…

    • kirkyo

      To everyone,
Check out the JGL + Colbert post on Buzzfeed today.

  • I want to put my hands in the holes of his sweater.

    • hughman

      You saucy minx.

    • claudemtl777

      Quoting “the Neighbourhood”!!! Great song!

  • MartyBellerMask

Golly he’s adorable. Just effortlessly perfect. “Effortlessly”, I mean. There’s got to be some thought put into this.

    • Joanna

I so agree – he is absolutely adorable!

  • Latin Buddy

    What brand?

  • Why is it that on him it looks effortless and pretty chic but on Matthew Morrison the exact same outfit would look skeevy?

    • Nikko Viquiera

Because JGL doesn’t seem to be trying too hard!

      • NBG

        He doesn’t need to.

    • lrober03

Maybe its the greasy looking curls?

      • largishbearishAtlish

Oh c’mon, you can find a better Sue Sylvester quote than that πŸ™‚

    • claudemtl777

Perhaps because Matthew Morrison IS skeevy? (And MM would throw a big scarf on it and make sure he lets people know he’s no homo…)

    • ItsDicey

Because JGL is the antithesis of everything that is Matthew Morrison. That’s my take.

  • Diego!

He looks great! Way to go Joseph! πŸ™‚

  • Nikko Viquiera

Only JGL can make me say these words I hate most: Totes Adorbs.

  • MK03

  • Silly Grrl

Sweater weather is my favorite! <3

  • NMMagpie

His cool quotient just keeps rising. If anyone saw him on Jimmy Fallon, you cannot deny it. Plus, he’s wearing one of my all-time faves: Sambas. Love!

    • Kimmu

The outfit was just fine for me until I saw the Sambas and then it was love

      • jjtxgrrl

I didn’t think he could be any more adorable.

……And then there were the sambas. Sigh. Too too cute that man.

  • mjude

    nothing like a great sweater

  • mommyca

I thought your reminder was going to be:

    “Tomorrow is sausage Friday!!!”

    • homofascist

      Me too!

  • Chaiaiai

The teenage me just fell in love with that grown-up high school varsity soccer player outfit right thar. Off to google old soccer hs crushes.

    • Chaiaiai

Oh god, they are all now….not how I remember them. DREAMS shatttttttered.

  • Glam Dixie

Did anyone else see Frodo watching him from the background?

  • Austin Morris

Who makes this sweater? I need it.

  • Saturnine

No *real* pity for the equatorially located? We won’t have sweater weather until December or January, if we’re lucky. I weep hot and humid tears, often. Please send more sweater pix . . .

  • RussellH88

Sweater weather is the time when I truly shine.

Mostly because I feel justified in staying inside, bundled up in blankets and playing video games.

  • Edward Thomas-Herrera

  • Neva Reese

The only reason LAiens claim that they are “cold” in 65 degree weather is so we can wear sweaters.

We are MAGIC and do not need condescending pity…but if you can turn that fan on while I’m sweating in my cashmere sweater and pearls, that’d be nice…

  • H2olovngrl

    SHUT UP! meanies…

  • thecitysleeps

Thanks for the condescending pity! Here we’re still on no sleeves and a/c on full blast. I want that sweater though. To wear for like one day in December. Oh it’s a guy’s? I don’t care. JGL looks cute too.

  • Kate4queen

No sweaters in Hawaii πŸ™‚ I’m okay with that I can just enjoy the pics. πŸ™‚

  • bertkeeter

    Nice…also very talented actor!

    • Shawn EH

And dancer. And athlete. Total package.

  • Heather

Cutie pie. I’d corrupt him terribly.

  • Danielle

  • Taylor

He always wears mismatched socks because that’s what his brother did. And he inherited his brother’s sock collection after his brother died. Then I died because that story is so sweet and sad.

  • oatmealpie

And here I was all excited that the high was only 93 today. No more triple-degree heat, but still a long way ’til sweater weather. Le sigh.

  • MilaXX

He’s adorable. He was on Jimmy Fallon with the freakishly tall Stephen Merchant and the poor thing looked almost like a Munchkin next to him.

  • Kent Roby

Wow, he’s hawking his latest project without resorting to an embarrassing over-exposed ensemble (see: Paula Patton, Miley, et al). I’m so glad that he can get by on his actual talent and charm and classic wardrobe, and still be cute-beyond-belief. Score!

  • Jacquelyn

    He’s adorable.

  • Joanne Abrams

    Be still my heart!

  • Tanya Wade

As a knitter, let me state: That sweater is aces. And the man it in ain’t so bad either.

  • marlie

JGL consistently gets it right. I love this guy!

  • Cele Deemer

I really really REALLY like this kid. He’s terrif. That’s all.

    • ThaliaMenninger

      Jimmy Fallon’s show? Lip-sync-off? Yeah. He’s terrif.

  • Andrew Stein

Liz Claiborne called: she wants her sweater back.

  • YourBaloneyDontGotNoSecondName

To TLO: It was 95 degrees here in Texas today, and I’m a total sweater queen. Thanks for rubbing it in. To the Bitter Kittens: Thanks for stealing all our sweaters in high school. The least you could have done to show your gratitude is informed us that we were gay. Sincerely, the bears.

  • Matthew Davie

That reminds me: I need to re-buy the Adidas Sambas that I threw away after I graduated college in the early 90s.

  • quiltrx

Absolutely adorable…and the Sambas made my heart skip a nostalgic-for-college-days beat!

  • ChristinaRi

lol. i knit a scarf with that pattern

  • LaSylphide

You can keep your Armani suits, Dior tuxedos and Italian men’s shoes. Give me a guy dressed casually and comfortably any day. JGL looks sexy and smart. Love him.

  • Julie Chase

Oh god, he is SO PRETTY.

  • RuthGo

How about that fantastic oxblood suit he wore on Jimmy Fallon?

  • Shawn EH

Casual Style Doctorate, and at such an early age!

  • jjtxgrrl

    He is so wonderful. Swooon.

    • jjtxgrrl

Addendum to my own comment: I looove a rolled up shirt sleeve on a MAN.

      … something about that.

  • kathrineb

I know its not very ‘fashiony’ but I would rather be walking around in a sundress than trying to layer my less colourful winter clothing. I prefer the warm springtime we are experiencing in Aus.

  • demidaemon

  • PeaceBang

I feel like a dirty old lady saying this, but I appreciate getting the rear view, too. That boy is KEWT. Aging well, too. Getting lines in handsome arrangements, lucky guy.

  • Gatto Nero

Cute, but might look better without the pant cuffs rolled up several times — no?
