Heidi Klum on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Show

Posted on September 05, 2013

After all this time, we’re starting to feel like Heidi’s ugly stepchildren.

Heidi Klum makes an appearance on the “Late Show with Jimmy Fallon” in a little black dress.

Bitch never poledanced like that for Project Runway. Ever since she got her America’s Got Talent gig – and can we say? We’re weirdly happy for her that she’s accomplishing the unlikely by turning her former career as a bra model into a highly lucrative and fame-making career as an international TV hostess. No, seriously. We fondly remember the early days of PR when she could barely get her way through a sentence without stumbling over her words or looking highly unsure of herself. Go watch season 1 again some time. It’s impressive how polished she is now in comparison.

Anyway, style-wise, this all seems to be in order. We would expect no less from her.

  • Diego!

This is a chic slutty look but it really is her look and she looks FABOULOUS! I dare to say a little bit of more color in her lips would have enhanced this already great look. Way to go Frau Heidi!

    • I see London, I see France…

    • Alloy Jane

Oh but for Heidi, this is DEMURE. Hate the hair. So cooked and frizzy and her roots, her ROOTS!!

  • This is almost a WERQ for our Heidi.

    • Mrs. Julien

Are WERQS allowed to be conditional?

      • decormaven

        WERQ with an asterick.

  • Hello Ms. Klum. This is one drop dead sexy look. I have no complaints.

  • Chuck Barthelme

She definitely has her own unique style. Not many could even come close to pulling this off. Glad she resisted the urge to make her stylists cut a deep v down the top so she could show off more skin. The skirt length isn’t nearly as problematic when she isn’t putting the cleavage on full display.

  • Jacquelyn

Maybe a more prominent color on her lips but otherwise she looks absolutely stunning. God, she really does have legs that go on forever, doesn’t she?

  • Nikko Viquiera

This is all very Heidi. But because this fits her so well, this is a WERQ. I love her!

  • hughman

Nice skirt, Heidi. What’s it made of?

    • fiddlecub

Oh God I can’t like this enough times.

    • Frank_821

      oooh major snaps

    • formerlyAnon

I can’t believe that I found today’s win in my first 10 minutes of surfing, but unless you outdo yourself (plausible) today, I have.

    • Alloy Jane

You need to LOLcap this ASAP. Brilliant!

    • Renaissance_Man_ATL

      COTD! For sure.

  • marlie

Great dress, but would it kill her to go up a size? I can’t imagine that she’s able to take a deep breath in that thing.

    • StellaZafella

Heidi Klum doesn’t breathe…she just absorbs oxygen through her bare skin… that’s why there’s usually so much of it.

  • sagecreek

The thing is, she’s old enough to realize that she needs to develop some other currency.

  • alyce1213

Heidi’s come a long way as a TV personality, but I think we’ve seen that style-wise, we can expect no more of her.
(Poledance for AGT is funded by NBC, Project Runway by Lifetime.)

    • Little_Olive

I was gonna say, I’ve become bored with her. It’s the style, the tan, the “look how hot I (still) am” way she presents herself. I mean what a surprise something longer/loose would be.
She needs a makeover, IMO. Why don’t some celebs accept that change will only make them look better *ahem Britney ahem*?

  • KateShouldBeWorking

Homegirl’s living the American Dream. Good on her.

  • JauntyJohn

    From the Black Widow collection.
(That’s… actually not a bad name. Hmmm.)

  • deelup

She looks hot as hell. But this outfit is what our Olymic athletes will be wearing in the newly added aquatic dominatrix event.

    • PeaceBang

PLEASE tell me when that event becomes a reality.

  • Carrieanno

Seeing this made motivated me to dump the plate of brownies sitting on my kitchen counter.

    • mmebam

  • MilaXX

It’s a Heidi look, but I like this one.

  • Donna Tabor

It’s little, and it’s black. But it looks more like body paint than a dress.

  • conniemd

And Heidi answers the question, how do you sit down in front of the camera with a midthigh length tight skirt? Sit with your left leg tightly crossed over your right leg! she also looks great.

  • kirkyo

This has got to be one of her best short, tight and shiny looks ever.

  • formerlyAnon

I only occasionally think her typical short, tight & shiny look is truly sexy, but somehow this one works for me. Maybe because the high neckline allows the toned lines of her body to take center stage? Anyway, she did good here.

  • lrhg

Short, tight, reflective, but at least it’s not see-through. And damn, she still looks good.

  • Kelly

Ah, yes, the weekly Heidi Klum post. Well, at least it’s better than back in May, when it seemed like we were getting a dose of Heidi practically every other day. Me, I’ll be happier when she rotates off the TLo-A-list and shows up only once a month or so. Or maybe even once every six months. Still, she looks good, if a tad squeezed.

  • Ramon Figueroa

She is such a smart cookie. She probably didn’t that much for Project Runway because she wasn’t that confident with her communication skills. That would have been fun to have her in Letterman in the early year. The surreal possibilities. She might not be doing that much now for PR because that show could implode any minute under the weight of its own fuckery. And it is what it is. I doubt it will get any better. Bunin Murray and Weinstein have made sure of that. Love her look here. And it is not too shiny.

    • ampg

I suspect it has more to do with audience size. AGT has way more viewers than PR, right? So it makes sense that she has to poledance more.

  • Jacqueline Wessel

She continues to look fabulous, but the hair bugs.

  • Sunraya

Heidi is genetically blessed with great looks and genetically cursed with terrible taste. She looks great in this, but the look is just so tacky. Is that possible? Heidi shows that it is so.

  • MissusBee

Agree she’s done well to carve out a career for herself in an industry that could have said ‘meh’ the minute she turned 27. Where will it all end? An Oscar? High office? The Nobel Prize for Legs? If anyone can do it, our Heidi can.

  • Le_Sigh

I want to have beer and BBQ with her and Stacey Kiebler – they seem like a whole lot of fun to be around.

  • kimmeister

Are those chrome heels I see? Likey likey.

  • AngelaGreen

    “Models. This also isacompetitionforyouaswell.”

  • YoungSally

Heidi could never have ugly stepchildren…..

  • E. D.

I like how her roots match the outfit.

  • JDreesen

hell, if we expected any _less_ from her, we’d have to watch Jimmy Fallon on the Spice Channel.

  • I’ve never realised before how dark her natural haircolour must be! Aside from that, she looks amazing.

    • Amy909

Look up some pictures of her with her natural hair color. I think she should change it up and darken it up for a bit. The blonde is starting to look fried and fake (which it is).

  • CPK1

Dear Heidi: Please please please cut your hair. Otherwise you look fab.

  • bingo

T&L: Great point about the PR evolution of the beloved Fraulein. I almost think the “auf-ing” started because she couldn’t think of what to say in English at first. She has come quite a long way.

  • Erica_Vuitton

Looking at the first pic you know why her nickname is The Body. I think this is a great look even if its pretty short. Love the texture of the top.

She needs to freshen up her layers for real though.

  • CeeQ

    Short: check
    Tight: check
    Shiny: check check

    Honestly though? LOVED it! =D

  • aahlife

In San Francisco, they aired the entire first season this morning. Heidi was not Heidi we know today, her speech, delivery, appearance (besides looking younger, she looked more like a generic blond model), and attire was so unrealized. She has become an individual who has a strong identity.

Sadly, I watch the first season with such nostalgia. The talent was stellar, the clothes hold up after all these years. the quality and contrast in the clothes generated in the early years and now is striking. Sigh.

One of my all time favorite episodes was the postal delivery uniform redesign. A real world assignment, with the postal service involved – the solution had to be practical, attractive and an improvement.

    • janierainie

Isn’t that postal challenge the one where Austin models for Jay? The show was so much more enjoyable then. Only a little bit of drama, and there usually was a legitimate reason.

  • macwell

You go Heidi – werq it out!

  • I dunno; she scares me

  • DesertRodent

I saw this segment as I was tuning in to see Julie Ruin. Yup, it was Heidi alright. If they gave Emmys for knowing how, when, and why to cross your legs with all due show[wo]manship, she’d win ’em all.

  • As a LBD goes, the fabric is rich, and it fits okay, but….

I’m tired of Heidi putting her sex appeal before fashion. Her hair looks okay but it’s just hanging in her face. Her legs look beautiful but why would anyone want fashion tips from her? Why should she judge Project Runway as a person in the fashion biz?

Her image as a sexy woman is more important to her than her image as a serious person of fashion. Just my opinion. I love her on PR when her hair is pulled back nice and neat. She’s has an exceptionally beautiful hairline for a caucasian woman.

BTW, the only thing I hate more than models and entertainers waving to the audience is having a model or entertainer throwing kisses to the audience. Please, Heidi, business women don’t throw kisses. She could learn to wave like a politician does with his arm or forearm, not like a sexy little girl does with her fingers.

I do admire Heidi; she has accomplished far more in her life than I have, but this is a place to write comments about fashion and how individuals work their fashion. I hope Heidi eventually changes her schtick.

  • gracedarling

It must be hair day at TLo Enterprises, because all of my comments seem to be hair-related. To wit: is that a little bit of silver at the roots and if so, can you IMAGINE how sexy a buzzcut would be? If anyone has the face for it, it’s Heidi!

    • lobsterlen

The world ending in a fire storm of asteroids and frogs is more likely to happen than Heidi getting a buzz-cut.

  • Scoobydrew

I just watched the first Season on PR today, and I was surprised at how quiet Heidi was … and while I still LOVE the show, it was so innocent, no one knew what to make of anything … I had to come back to your entry on Shoe-gate!

  • Aaminah Khan

Hot damn. As a lady who loves ladies, I am alllllllllllll over this. And she’s not even my usual type!

  • Frank

    Heidi, Heidi, Hei-deeeeee!):
