Dianna Agron in Osman at The Family Premiere

Posted on September 12, 2013

If you’d never seen any of Dianna’s previous attempts at what we suppose some would call “style,” then you’d be forgiven for looking at this and thinking, ” Yeah? And?”

Dianna Agron attends the premiere of “The Family” in New York City in an Osman combo paired with Christian Louboutin shoes and Fred Leighton jewelry.

Osman Resort 2014 Collection

But really, it’s a major step forward for her on the style front. Actually, we need to stop using that phrase, because it’s very rare that anyone actually moves “forward” in their style evolution. If they move at all, it’s in a zig-zag, in fits and starts. If we know anything, she’ll be back to wearing something too prissy, frumpy or mature in no time. But for now, we’ll applaud the simple chicness of this look, as well as the gorgeous hair and makeup. She’s a softer version of a Hitchcock blonde. She works really well with classic and simple. Loving the blue in her eye makeup and nails. That’s a thoughtful way to add some color to a colorless look without being obvious about it. Not so much “pops” of color as puffs of them.

More of this please, Dianna. Tape pictures of Bardot and Grace Kelly to your mirror and study them.

I am loving that make up! Get it Dianna

    • Monzerrat Ontiveros

      too much bronzer

  • warontara

Wow. She looks lovely….and I want this outfit.

  • LadyCelia

Wow–she looks fabulous. Chic, but not like she’s trying too hard.

  • MilaXX

I dunno, part of me likes the look, but part of me thinks she looks a it like JLo here. Considering JLo is nearly twice her age, I don’t know if that’s a good thing.

    • Dressing like someone only twice her age is an improvement. Girl likes her granma style.

      • Ginny Ellsworth

        “I wear your grandma’s clothes….”

  • OHgoodygoodygumdrops! I was hoping you’d put this up here. I saw this yesterday and seriously want to send out a text to all the BKs “Look who found a closet in this century.” I love this, so much. She is gorgeous. This works for her in so many ways and my fingers are crossed that some folks in her life will make sure she knows how on point this is.

    • marlie

I love the idea of a BK emergency alert system.

      • YES! A phone tree of bitchery. I refuse to tweet. I have too many distractions from life as it is. But damn, sometimes I need a fellow BK to be snarky with.

        • marlie

I think if you and I met in the Twitterverse, work would never be done again.

    • Nariya

What her expression says, too. “BAM, bitches.” Girl knows she’s owning it.

  • hillmad

She really is just so gorgeous!

  • marlie

I LOVE this look. Best I’ve seen her look… ever. The clothes are great, the shoes are to DIE for, and the accessories are nice. Plus, her hair and makeup are also perfect. This is a WERQ from me!

  • Jessica Freeman

There’s something about the skirt I don’t like, probably that it needs to be just a skosh shorter. And I’ve hated the plastic shoe trend, but these are well deployed.

    • Meg0GayGuys6

I agree… on the model, the shortest part of the hem hits her knee, which I assume was the designers intent. I never understood why celebrities never get their clothes hemmed to the length they were designed to be. I get that if the clothes are borrowed, you don’t want to alter them, but you’d think the designer would want their pieces to look as polished as possible- even if that means taking a few inches off. You’d think there are more people Diana’s height than the model anyways…

  • sagecreek

Wow, that’s great, and not a hint of the Amish to be seen.

  • appliquer

The best she’s looked in my book.

  • Janet B

Very nice, especially from the neck up.

  • Sally3000

I’m not a fan of eye liner inside the eyelash line, but I LOVE this outfit on her. So flattering and chic.

    • NinaBoo

Between that and the colors used, it has an ’80s vibe to it. Add to that her visible midriff and it reminds me of the sweatshirts I used to cut off to show off. Thank goodness she doesn’t have one shoulder bare or “What a Feeling” would be running through my head for the rest of the day.

  • crash1212

Best she’s ever looked. Personal best. I love, love, love this look.

  • disqussant

I love this look. The shoes are fun touch. I wish the skirt were a little shorter, but the proportions still seem fine.

  • fauxprah

    100% percale.

  • Shawn EH

    Hazel eyes. Nice.

  • jen

Great outfit and hair and make up are gorge!

  • leahpapa

She looks so much more confident and present than in so many other looks. Well done!

  • Jennifer Peters-Ahnberg

Check Miss Thang, showing off the abs! When even Modest Di is sporting a crop top, you know the trend is well and truly dug in.

  • anotherkate

She looks incredible! This is how you do bare midriff with class. Also, I love the shoes.

  • kimmeister

That is the sexiest I’ve ever seen her makeup/hair look!

I believe those are the same shoes I just admired on Nicki Hilton from one of the Fashion Week days.

  • MissusBee

Cannot fault. Sexy, elegant, modern and fresh are qualities not often found in the same outfit.

“Glee? What’s that?” Ms Agron demurred to the breathless crowd.

  • Jacquelyn

Wow! She does look great. I love the shoes.

  • decormaven

Smart, clean lines. She’s working it- even making me overlook those plastic shoes.

  • Lilak

Well I’ll be! She did it!

(^ hardly worth presenting to the Comments, I know – but I’m so impressed, I had to record a blurt of joy and relief)

  • nannypoo

I love this on her. She looks beautiful.

  • flamingoNW

    LOVE this. LOVE the shoes

  • Sara Brams-Miller

She looks fantastic here. And I’m LOVING that outfit from head to toe.

  • luluransom

    Personal best.

  • Tatiana Luján

The clothes are great and she looks chic.
The hair is too brassy and close to her skin color.

  • frannyprof

    Agree. Love this.

  • Her eyemakeup is great but gosh that foundation is heavy! I am sure she doesn’t need it. The rest is sort of sassy choirgirl which I can’t quite get behind.

  • Love this! But I really hopes she leaves the fake tan to Lea.

  • Getoverit

Im not digging the skirt, but overall it looks good. Kudos for not flashing a bunch of skin like some of the young stars.

  • Florence Whytingale

That’s two wins in one week for this girl, maybe a new stylist..?

  • Imasewsure

This is fantastic (for her). Hope it’s more than just a zig zag!!

  • tereliz

Much more modern than her usually fussy lady who lunches looks that she is waaay too petite for. Minimal and edgy is really the way she ought to go. Love the makeup.

  • formerlyAnon

She looks good, but I don’t love the ensemble any more on her than I do on the model. I mean, I like it, but without enthusiasm.

  • Jacqueline Wessel

Normally I hate sleeves that are not seamed onto the bodice, but the top looks great here she looks chic as hell…love the striped shoes.

  • Miss WKS

    Love this on her….

  • HM3

I dunno. I dislike the makeup and hair, but love everything else. I feel like a different head was supposed to be attached to this outfit.

  • filmcricket

That skirt is making my eye twitch like gangbusters, but I love everything from the waist up, and the ankles down. She is so damn stunning, and pulls off the beachy blonde look better than I thought she would.

  • pop_top

I love this look on her. And I know other people don’t like them, but I love those shoes.

  • fursa_saida

I NEED that skirt. Also, I think this is the only time I’ve ever seen those shoes deployed to good effect.

  • I love this. She looks lovely and chic.

  • NBG

Best she has looked in ages. I like the shoes, and I NEVER like the shoes.

  • Lucas

She’s lovely, but I don’t like that top at all. It looks like a dress-up version of a crop-top. Otherwise, cute dress!

  • Akmall Razlan

she is really grow from being no one to someone. Love that transformation. She is actually has the Glee-ish thingy still but it started to fade away too, love it. This look is fresh and I would love to see more from her. Love it!

  • Contralto

    Very, very nicely done.

  • Pterodactyl111

    J’adore!! I want the shoes.
