Posted on September 27, 2013

Hello, David Oyelowo. Here is what we know about you. We love to say your name out loud. You might be in the new Star Wars film. You also might be in the new Jurassic Park film. It would seem you are on the verge of having a very hot time in your career.

David Oyelowo attends the premiere of “Baggage Claim” in Los Angeles.

And you damn sure fill out a Mr. Rogers cardigan like no man we’ve seen.

He is making me miss those fine African boys I used to studiously avoid on campus.

“…those fine African boys I used to studiously avoid on campus.”

I recognize these as English words, but I cannot make sense of this. Why would you do such a thing? ;-)

    • Random Compliments

      Holy RAWR.
ETA: slap a pair of stylish glasses with this outfit, and I need to excuse myself for awhile….

    • Shawn EH

MI-5, I believe. Seasons ago, but very good.

      • OpinionatedMtnGirl

Yes! And he’s only gotten hotter since then!

      • berkeleygirl

        The first three…

      • ankali

That’s where I know him from! Aw, I liked him so much in that show. He looks great here.

    • berkeleygirl

You guys need to catch up with Brit TV. I’ve been a huge Oyelowo fan for years, starting with his work as Danny in MI-5. Also catch the mini-series, 5 Days, and Small Island. Fabulous – and very cute!

      • majorbedhead

I knew I knew him from somewhere. He was great on MI-5.

      • Tanya Wade

Oh God, Small Island is just the best, and Ruth from Luther is in it, too. And Naomie Harris…oh, I want to watch it again now!

        • berkeleygirl

          Me, too!!!

Well, hello Mr. Oyelowo. Would you be mine, could you be mine, won’t you be my neighbor?

      • decormaven

Or one more: “This is how you answer a door in my neighborhood. WHO IS IT?” Mr. Robinson was so much better!

      • cocohall

        You funny!

    • Clueless_Jock

      Love the look.

    • bellafigura1

Oy. Yell. Oh. Whoa. Just working on my pronunciation.

    • ChaCha_70

This is just the sausage I’ve been looking for this sausage Friday.

    • MilaXX

YUM and I will freely admit that I am shallow enough to find a Brit accent sexy.

      • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

If finding accents sexy makes you shallow, than I am no better than a puddle of glass sweat on the table. Accents are my weakness.

        • MilaXX

They will seal the deal many times.

      • Heather

An accent won’t make a gross guy hot, but it will make an already-hot guy… astoundingly hot. As our friend David here kindly demonstrates.

        • MilaXX

and may tip the scale to favorable for those who are just average.

    • BookishBren

MI-5 is on Netflix, gentlemen. Give it a go. He is delicious in it.

      • GillianHolroyd

        Until….

        • BookishBren

          We mustn’t think about that.

      • Renaissance_Man_ATL

MI-5 is such a fantastic show!

    • sienna elm

I love you guys a little more each day!

    • MzzPants

He can be my neighbor. Or Mr. Mcfeely.

    • AmeliaEve

Yum! But… is that a male twin set?

      • Imasewsure

Yes I’m afraid it is… but we’re fine with it (no pearls).

    • Fanny_Trollope

I have no idea who this is, but he looks perfectly delightful.

      • cocohall

He is apparently well known in England, but he recently appeared as the Freedom Fighter/Black Panther son in The Butler with Forest Whitaker and Oprah.

    • macwell

Caridigan smardigan – check out the fit in the pants – ! Maybe I should learn to say his name…. ;)

    • PastryGoddess

      Pant….

      Heeeeey Boooooy!

    • Fred Vaughn

      Get it, get it!!

    • Krysta

But that is a really terrible pairing of shirt and sweater.

      • Jaeda Laurez

        it is. But he’s new.

      • Kate Andrews

This says more about me than the outfit, but the brown Henley reminds me of Dexter’s kill shirt.

    • Chuck Barthelme

Not loving the fit of those pants on him, but it does take a brave guy to wear brown on brown on top. Props.

    • Susan

Also he is high-larry-us in No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency.

    • Danielle

      *fans self*
