The last red coat is to die for.

    • Clueless_Jock

Those coats seem to pay tribute to Gianfranco Ferre’s tenure at Dior.

    • Monday1900

Do want that coat–and I feel like I hardly ever want the things that are being advertised!

Those sunglasses in the first photo have GaGa written all over them.

    • jayme

Definitely, if you have minimal boobs.

I hope red makes a resurgence next year, I’ve missed it.

  • Jacquelyn

*makes inhuman noise and reaches for red coat* Oh god. So much want.

    • Qitkat

I couldn’t wear it but I love your reaction.

  • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

Still pulling lots of inspiration from Monsieur Dior’s play book, I see. And still referencing Roger Vivier shoes on the clothes as well. A lot of this is terrific looking, but not really very new.

    • formerlyAnon

Why I’ll never even approach fashionista levels of sophistication: I’ll go for terrific looking and derivative/unoriginal over new/creative/boundary pushing a majority of the time. Trying to learn, though.

    • ankali

The coats are great, but the dresses are no less disappointing here than they were on the runway. Such a flat collection.

  • kimmeister

While those sunglasses are pretty amazing, I dislike it when shades are so huge they obscure the fact that one has eyebrows.

As much as I love shoes, I prefer shoes, not clothing printed with shoes.

    • Mismarker

Or clutches printed with shoes. Gack.

      • ballerinawithagun

From one extreme to the other, hate to love, all in one shoot. My family and friends know about my love for shoes, so I’ve wound up with all sorts of items printed with shoes. A sleep shirt printed with shoes that read “If the shoe fits buy it in every color!”. Christmas cards that read “Wish Shoe a Merry Christmas!” with a tree made of shoes. It goes on and on. Shoes should only be on novelty items not couture!

        But love the red coat!

        • Jessica Freeman

Well now they have the plausible excuse “shit, even Dior does it now”…

My friends and family do the same. I have a shoe tape dispenser, Christmas ornaments and candles. How does one explain, I like my shoes on my feet…where they belong…

          • Ginny Ellsworth

Agreed. I love my cats. I don’t want to wear them, draw with them, sleep under them or eat off of them.

  • Tess Danesi

The coats and the sunglasses are covetable to be sure but I find the ads themselves dull. Bored, affected and haughty is not a look that inspires me. As I’m not the Dior client, maybe it does work for that demographic.

  • Mismarker

I’ll have the red coat, please and thank you. J’adore.

  • Latin Buddy

REALLY hope you post Jennifer Lawrence’s AMAZING Dior ad…also, this model looks like Uma thurman

    • Jessica O’Connell

Glad I’m not the only one who thought she was an Uma-Clone!

  • Victoria

What the hell is going on with the shoes?

    • 3boysful

      Hideousness.

    • NoveltyRocker

The heels are seriously effing with me.

    • MemHey

Make your feet look like they’ve been bound without actually binding them?

  • MilaXX

Every model looks like she’s saying, “doh!”

  • formerlyAnon

Suit. Black coat, seated photo. Contact me for the address to which they should be shipped.

Sadly, I do not think I can pull off the red coat. Very sadly, those heels strike me as hideous in juxtaposition with the garments.

  • Sarah

I guess it isn’t supposed to matter if your dress is a big flappy sack when you have a great coat on over it. I’ve got more structured nightgowns than these.

  • mmebam

When I see all these models posing with an open mouth, I think back to the ANTM challenge with the bees.

  • Kent Roby

J’adore the sunglasses and the red coat, not so much the wet hair or the crafty shoe-emblazoned dress or bag.

    • marlie

Yeah, I’m really not feeling the styling as well. Seems like Dior deserves better than wet, just-out-of-the-shower hair.

  • Monzerrat Ontiveros

    Mariacarla Boscono!!!

    • ankali

Is that even allowed? Do you think Armani and Dior were furious when they found out she was cheating on each of them? Do you think Dior was especially pissed that she looked so much more gorgeous in the Armani campaign?

      • Monzerrat Ontiveros

nopp, she’s a model, and she’s known for Givenchy not for Dior or Armani…

  • Vanja

The shoes and the dresses aren’t doing it for me, but the coats are all divine, especially the red one.

  • decormaven

We’ve seen that purse with the shoe motif before, yes? And while that red coat is indeed swoon-worthy, it and the rest rely on past triumphs. Something new is warranted.

  • frannyprof

    Ho hum…

  • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

Oh, God. Those coats are better than sex.

  • marlie

Those are some pretty fierce shades on the model in the first picture. And the black coat is stunning.

  • another_laura

I’m not sold on this at all. And it pains me to say that.

  • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gaby

Striking sunglasses on models with really striking faces makes it all go a little alien and makes it hard for me to imagine what the sunnies would look like on my face. The coats are making me swoon though.

  • quiltrx

“I’m pissed at you, and that makes me utterly unable to close my stupid mouth.”

  • http://victoriapavlova.com Victoria Pavlova

Butterfly shades + B&W coat = perfection. Horrendous shoes.

  • clairellis

I want that last coat so bad! Gorgeous!!

  • bertkeeter

And the winner for the most unflattering shoe goes to…..

  • http://www.lippsisters.com/ Deborah Lipp

I think a white half-sheer dress imprinted with shoes is as stupid a thing I’ve ever seen, but the floral motif dress is magnificent and I would cut a bitch for those sunglasses.

    • bertkeeter

I agree with half your comment…. I think it is all contrived and tedious!

  • http://www.criminalmoviereviews.com/ Manon @ CMR

The shoes in the fourth pic (the red ones) make her feet look as long as her lower legs. ……… I can’t.
The sunglasses are quite cool though.

  • Trickytrisha

Can you see yourself wearing those shoes? Without giggling? Yeah, me neither.

  • eandh99

the coats, nothing much to see here except the glorious coats. I could and would wear that red coat every day from October to April if it didn’t cost somewhere between a mortgage payment and a new car.

  • Trisha26

What does it say about an editorial when all you want to do is wash the models’ hair? Those sunglasses are Area 51 all the way.

  • d4divine

Love it…not too keen on the shoes though, they’re kinda distracting

  • http://kittysdrawings.com Esz

Arrrrrgh!! Massive Yawn-town. Come ON Dior get your shit together. The only nice thing is the coat – which is completely derivative anyway – as mentioned.

Does ANYONE agree with me that Dior sucks right now?

  • veleri

something weird is going on with the face of the model in pic number 6.

  • sleepycat

    bland

  • Aurumgirl

I don’t think the model looks so good in that red coat. It would look so much better on me.

  • demidaemon

Their is something very “aliens are coming and they are fabulous” coming from this editorial. I approve.
