      Cheeky. Love it.

    • Fred Vaughn

She’s clearly digging the moment (and that’s sexy and fashionable every time)!!

    • Jacquelyn

I’m sure on stage it looked great. But in front of that stark white sign you can barely tell that she’s wearing anything until she turns around.

    • kirkyo

Love the clutch. Is that a lion?

    • Aaminah Khan

Well, hello there, budget Alyson Hannigan!

    • e jerry powell

To be fair, her Emmy this year wasn’t for “True Blood,” it was for “The Good Wife.”

    • e jerry powell

And that color trickery is what’s seriously pissing me off.

    • Janet B

I really like this on her.
      Fantastic back.

    • bertkeeter

      Total bridal!

    • Squareface

This is a “walk crab-like” dress for sure

    • quiltrx

I wish there were a little more black on the front–it’s pretty bland. But those buttons are pretty great.

    • amanda lynn

      Looks great!

    • mhleta

Oooo! Love the surprise of all those buttons wandering down her shapely posterior. That’s a stunner right there.

    • ItsDicey

For HER this is awesome. I love the back buttons.

    • Sara Padilla

I want a tv show where she and Alyson Hannigan play sisters.

    • Laura Renee

The buttons are pretty, but it’s her skin color. :(

    • sundaynightaddict

You’re right and the color read better on video than it does in pictures.

    • H2olovngrl

Love the look, love her. Seems to be a recurring theme around this comments section, and I can’t argue with that!

    • LauraAgain

I love it! I’m not familiar with the actress, but the color, cut and sparkly earrings (!) combine to make her look wonderful. Love the buttons down the back. She’s definitely got a womanly figure and this dress rocks it!

    • decormaven

May be a bit plain in the front view, but the back view sells this dress- as does her pleasing demeanor.

    • HM3

HATE the back detail. Looks cheap and bordello-y. The rest of the dress is safe, dull, and does NOT work with her hair and skin color.

    • Constant Reader

Love how this look has a classic Hollywood vibe without being too literal.

    • Erica_Vuitton

The fit of this dress ::squeeee:: Like A Glove!! No sure about the Dr Quinn jewelry but I am in love with that clutch!

    • Gayer Than Thou

I was prepared to like this outfit, and then I saw your comment. Of course you’re absolutely right, and now I can’t unsee it.

      • Donyelle

I worked at Priscilla of Boston like Romona, We sold an EXACT gown like that.

        • MoHub

In an a-line, this would be the wedding gown of my daughter’s dreams.

    • Aurumgirl

No, I think you’re right. Stark white wouldn’t look so good, there’s a creamy pink or peach colouring to this fabric that doesn’t really come across on a computer screen or monitor, but you can tell by the way it offsets her skin and red hair that it isn’t snowy white.

    • Denise

I’ve never seen her look that good. Personal best!

    • formerlyAnon

Against a darker background this would have worked. Not ever gonna be a standout gown, but it would have worked. ETA: which means in person, moving through the event, it DID work for her.

    • Lucas

The background is washing it out, but I think she looks amazing and the gown is gorgeous.

    • Brittany

      There’s something 80s about her…and this look.

    • Sarah

Holy Crap. I didn’t see that. I had to scroll back up because I didn’t know WTF you meant. The only saving grace here is that it appears Dr. Quinn had a momentary lapse of poor taste and designed something non-asslike for the Emmys. It still doesn’t remove the stank of Mall Jeweler from the whole affair, though.

    • Diego!

She looks gorgeous! I’d dare to say a WERQ here too!

    • Danielle

I bet she’s going to be SO happy when season 7 ends and she no longer has to keep her hair this color.

    • Ass Kicking Adviser

Boring. Hate the make-up. But it’s better than what she was wearing the other day. Can’t Julianna M. jump in and help her co-star?

    • sagecreek

Oh, I’ve loved Carrie for years…back since Wonderfalls. So nice to see her getting attention!

    • RussellH88

She could have worn a trash bag and I wouldn’t care. I’m just so glad she won for The Good Wife. She’s so damn amazing on it.

    • Kent Roby

That purse is ready to attack, so I won’t say anything bad! Minor quibble: I wish the back had the tiniest hint of a flap to imply that the entire back was really buttoned.

    • ThaliaMenninger

On screen, she looked like one long column of pale and more pale with very red hair. Very vampiric. I wish she’d done better, because I love her on The Good Wife and I was really happy she won.

    • macwell

I think she looks great. As a matter of fact – its the best I’ve seen her look.
