There really isn’t much to say about a man in a tux. He either gets it right or he doesn’t. And since it’s so ridiculously easy to get a tux right (Seriously, guys. It’s like the lowest possible style difficulty setting), critiques tend to be boring, cranky and repetitive.
But we’re not fools. An array of pretty men in tuxes is enough to make plenty of our kittens happy if not downright swooning. Besides, we can’t keep our mouths shut even if we wanted to.
Dan Stevens in Hugo Boss
Grooming-wise, that’s the best he’s looked in ages. The tux fits him terribly, though.
David Gandy in Henry Poole & Co
Is that mean?
Jamie Redknapp in Thom Sweeney
Matt Smith in Alexander McQueen
Surprisingly boring. A little disappointing.
Jesus Christ, Russell. It’s time to go up a size. Waistlines spread. It happens.
Samuel L. Jackson in Giorgio Armani
All-black formal menswear just never looks classy to us. We don’t know what’s worse; when the blacks all match, turning a man into a walking shadow, or when they don’t match (like here), making T Lo’s eyelids twitch.
Rumpled, but adorable.
Tom Ford in Tom Ford
Is that mean? Oh wait we don’t care.
Tom Hiddleston in Giorgio Armani
This all seems to be in order.
Cute, but the posing and the hair are making us cranky.
