    DAMN.

  • berkeleygirl

He gets more gorgeous with every year. More importantly – if anyone hasn’t seen Any Day Now, do!!! It’s wonderful.

  • Just Me

    Just dandy. Perfectly dandy.

    • StellaZafella

      Smiling and winking.

  • http://melaniesuzanne.blogspot.com/ Melanie Suzanne

BAM! I love him so hard.

    • Nancer

Me too! This is as perfect as it gets. Fit, color, accessories, shoes, grooming – fabulous.

  • Emily Smith

    His smirk is perfection.

  • Ashleigh

he makes it look so easy

  • Jacqueline Wessel

Beautiful Summer suit. He looks cool and crisp.

  • Erika Schultze

Every time I see Alan Cumming being all fabulous and making with the hard-core Dapper I wonder why the hell the other boy stars out there can’t figure it the fuck out.

    • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

Difference between a boy and a man!

    • ana170

      They don’t care.

  • Rand Ortega

He just gets it right. All of it. The flecks of dark brown in the tie which correlates w/ the color of the shoes makes my frosty, tiny heart go pitter pat.

    • StellaZafella

Alan Cumming seems to single-handedly keep words like ‘dapper’ alive in the English language. Bless his dear big heart.

      • Rand Ortega

        OTN!

  • Amy Hughes

He looked just as good naked in Macbeth. And was one of the most genuine and gracious stars to greet fans and sign autographs after ever. So awesome.

  • Jessica Freeman

    …and he fucking knows it.

  • Frank_821

The movie is only now screening in London? I thought it came out over a year ago

regardless he’s looking dapper as a Brit can be

  • Miss wks

In my next life I am coming back as a gay man and I am SO going to do him…

    • marlie

I had the exact same thought.

  • Chuck Barthelme

What a pro. He rarely gets it wrong, but this is another level of right.

  • marlie

OMG, I love him. LOVE. I think he’s adorable, and he looks just *smashing* here.

  • Griffinqueen

Did you know he had his own fragrance called “Cumming-the scent”

    Love that bitch

    • fursa_saida

I thought it was “Cumming In The Air,” but either one is rock-solid.

  • MzzPants

    He looks fucking perfect.

  • Ginny Ellsworth

He shore is purty here but he wore a shirt, vest and tie (okay and pants) in a darker color combination when he introduced Masterpiece Mystery on PBS and he was just so striking. This is beautifully done but I really love him in darker colors.

    • Candigirl1968

Yup. In this summer’s Masterpiece Mystery series, he is wearing something that just isn’t nearly as awesome.

He just about owns the three piece suit look. I’m not sure whether anyone else does it nearly as well.

  • JauntyJohn

I want to be Alan Cumming when I grow up.

    • Swiftlytiltingplanet

      Don’t we all?

      • Bridget Smith

Personally, I want to be Cate Blanchett.

(But that’s basically the same thing, isn’t it?)

    • Corsetmaker

Not too grown up…. last time he was home he got thrown out a pub for doing a handstand LOL!

  • LaSylphide

Perfection head to toe. Although I certainly hope he hasn’t given up loud, violent, vivid, attention-grabbing men’s wear. We need men who can wear that kind of getup.

  • LipstickForPigs

Every single thing about him makes me smile.

  • Chipster

    Purrrrrrrfection!

  • Bethany Roullett

    Wow….

  • Julie

    Sexy-and-he-knows-it face.

  • Patrick Cleary

I want that suit desperately. Unfortunately, it probably costs more than my annual salary.

  • formerlyAnon

Oh. My. God. He’s a man. A well dressed, dead sexy man in an ocean of little boys of all ages.

    That is all.

  • formerlyAnon

P.s. As far as I’m concerned, with this post you guys have fulfilled my Sausage Friday needs and may knock off early. Have a nap, a drink, hit the gym, catch an afternoon movie . . .

  • flamingoNW

    L.O.V.E. LOVE him. Perfection.

  • http://CallMeJane.com/ CallMeJane

    He’s a beautiful man.

  • Ann Greiner

Is that a knitted tie? Fekkin Arr-some…

  • alyce1213

Love this, he’s impeccable. I’m fascinated by his textured tie — I feel the need to touch it.

    • formerlyAnon

The tie is the perfect example of why he’s Alan Cumming and other men are mere mortals. Several knit ties have graced these pages of late, and I’ve criticized most for awkward bulkiness and resemblance to a [machine] knit blanket. Cumming’s knit tie is at least as bulky a knit – but it has beautiful color variation and a hint of texture (not quite fuzziness) to the yarn. Two very different impressions result: Cheap knit blanket or beautiful artisan-created textile.

  • NDC_IPCentral

To my way of thinking his trousers are too short. When you can see his socks atop the side of the shoe, the hems of the slacks should be dropped. These are brushing the top of the counter of his shoes. Too short. I’d lengthen them by 3/4 of an inch.

  • SewingSiren

I love these fun suits for men. All three featured today were pretty fabulous.

  • carnush

    He is a god.

  • Tatiana Luján

His vest is the right size and lenght, I hate men wearing too small vests.

  • filmcricket

Does he have his suits made for him? He must, to get it so consistently right.

  • nannypoo

He’s so fabulous. I especially love that intense face in the first picture. And what a beautiful outfit. Perfect.

  • Denise Alden

No one, absolutely no one, does it better than Alan Cumming. I’m swooning: always have, always will!

  • Beth513

    flawless

  • Qitkat

    He always makes me smile.

  • PeggyOC

That hem is giving me life.

  • amanda siegelson

ok – first of all – LOVE.
but POTENTIAL small, itsy bitsy quibble: sock colour. would have preferred a brown since i feel the black is a bit jarring.
but when faced with the fabulousness that is the rest of the look, tis but a scratch.

  • YourBaloneyDontGotNoSecondName

Alan Cumming in Roger Sterling cosplay. That is fucking fabulous.

    • Shawn EH

How I’d love to see him cross swords with Harry Hamlin!

  • Paula Pertile

    Love him so much.

  • Adriana_Paula

    Natty!

  • KayEmWhy

    Two snaps!

  • ErmengardeGreen

Gosh I love him. Beautiful tailoring.

  • Copper

Interesting choice to go with short sleeve shirt with 3-piece suit. Can’t quibble with the result though.

  • Lilyana_F

    He’s giving me LIFE!

  • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

He just gets better and better. That tie is giving me life!

  • tereliz

My only quibble is that he’s wearing such dark socks. Mustard, next time, perhaps? But look at that face. He just keeps getting better looking. I much prefer modern-day Alan Cumming to Old-School Evil Villain “Circle of Friends” era Alan Cumming, no matter how young.

  • Danielle

Like a fine wine, he gets better with age.

  • Laurieandclaire

I love pretty much everything about this man. I will never forget his amazingly haunting performance as the MC.

  • kimiakay

    Those dimples!

  • MoHub

So good to see him back. He is perfect.

  • judybrowni

See guy stars? This is when you wear brown shoes, with a tan suit, or something else from the brown colorwheel.

    Not blue, not black.

  • Shawn EH

My heart has long belonged to Nightcrawler!

  • SportifLateBoomer

Natty is the word that comes to mind. Love the silver hair, and the way he’s aging. Yumola.

  • Lilak

Unbelievable that Vanity Fair didn’t even have him on their first (‘long’) list for International Best Dressed this year. We know how VF’s taste runs to the jet-set, but still … surely there was a place among 200+ for Mr. Cumming.

  • unbornfawn

Showing the kids how it is done. Bow down boy stars, bow down.

  • Anniebet

This is delightful. Makes me feel like hugging puppies and blowing rainbow bubbles. He’s been a favorite of mine for so long, especially in The Good Wife. Such a nuanced character he plays. Bless him, he’s a lovely man in lovely clothing.

  • MilaXX

Look at Alan looking all grown up and stuff. J’adore!

  • AnnaleighBelle

I saw him on Broadway in MacBeth. Naked. He is beautiful and dear to me.

Please enjoy his rendition of “Taylor, the Latte Boy.” My daughter sings this, too.

  • Louise Bryan

    Two thumbs up!

  • DamH

He makes me jaw-droppin’ for a minute.

  • ItsDicey

    Freaking beautiful!

  • Howard Sturrup

After seeing him on the “Good Wife” I was not impressed with his acting. Am not sure why it is but he has always rubbed me the wrong way. I even loathe him in the intro of PBS “Mystery”.

    • snarkykitten

PBS cuts stuff out of the shows to make room for his intros. I’m not sure why they even need an introduction

  • PeaceBang

Why can’t we live in this world every day, forever!!????

  • Laurie Landry

Love him and what he’s wearing.

  • librarygrrl64

    Dreamy.

  • Jacob Bowen

I LOVE this on him but personally I HATE knit ties.

  • kimmeister

I wonder if he is wearing suspenders, since he doesn’t have on a belt.

  • Marianne Wardle

How on earth can someone make beige look so good?

  • quiltrx

He is SUCH a fabulous bitch, isn’t he? I have a friend who looks somewhere between Alan and Neil Tennant…AND he looks great in the dapper looks, too!

  • http://vhanna26.typepad.com Vera

    How it should be done.

  • Corsetmaker

Aw I love Alan, looks grand as per usual :) I’m hoping he’ll be up here for the Yes Rally next month.
