Tina Fey in Reed Krakoff on David Letterman

Posted on August 22, 2013

Miss Tina’s had a pretty damn good week, career-wise. What better way to cap it off than by putting on a kickass dress, amirite?

Granted, sex, a fantastic meal, and expensive wine would’ve probably been even better, but then we’d have nothing to write about.

Tina Fey makes an appearance on the “Late Show with David Letterman” in a Reed Krakoff dress paired with Casadei pumps.

Looks good. More importantly, looks like she knows she looks good. That’s always the best accessory to an outfit: haughty self-assurance.

If you’re going to default to the B&W trend, then at least make it an interesting B&W. This passes the test. It’s got just enough visual interest to keep it from being boring or too business-like. On the other hand, it’s got just enough of a business feel to it to make her look like the mogul she is. Attagirl. Love the nail color.

I don’t like the nail color. It’s my only quibble.

    • HVM

It makes me irrationally happy when she gets it right.

      • Kappyapp

        yes, me too!

      • charlotte

Simply seeing her makes me irrationally happy, but her getting it right is of course a bonus.

      • ItsDicey

        Me too, HVM.

      DayUMmmmm.

      • Julie

I was going to say the same!

    • teensmom99

Not many women who have had a baby (or 2) could wear that top well. Tina really is the best!

    • Carol

She looks great. I want to be Tina Fey when I grow up.

    • majorbedhead

Is it just an illusion that’s making me see the Empire State Building on the bodice of that dress? Either way, I love it.

      • AmeliaEve

Interesting — I see how you could get that. It’s because the ESB has two vertical bands of windows with the setback between them. Same proportions as the squares on her top.

    • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

      Gurl looks slammin’.

    • Diego!

I love huh!!! I had the chance to see her face to face and she is gorgeous!!! I think she needs a belt to be a WERQ but she looks pretty good! :D

    • largishbearishAtlish

on anyone else this would be a ‘fine’, on here its a delight!!! Go Tina! (considering past choices, this is flat out amazing) but where are the trademark glasses?

(speaking of, when is T’lo going to review the line of Project Runway eyewear? (groan))

      • marlie

There’s a line of PR eyewear? Come the hell ON.

        • largishbearishAtlish

Yes, there is a national chain that advertises (on tv) and there is a clear logo of Project Runway Eyewear (along with several other brands)….

eyewear? really? what next…..PR socks? neck ties?

      • ccinnc

Ugh, just found them online. They look remarkably like FYSH brand frames. One is almost identical to a pair of frames I have.

    • PlethoraofBooks

Only one minor quibble – I was hoping to see one pop of color – stronger lip or more of a color that stood out on her nails or a skinny colored belt. Otherwise, I love it

    • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

Rock on with your bad self, Tina!

    • ballerinawithagun

A Real Woman wearing fabulous clothes! Suggestion: I know she probably feels like Wonder Woman, but please don’t pose with both hands your hips. The bodice is just a skosh too long but that is minor. Love her!

      • CakesOnAPlane

I feel like it is more that the skirt is a skosh too tight…but she is a delight as always.

        • Monabel

Skirt is two skoshes too tight.

          • decormaven

Is that close to itsy bitsy?

    • AmeliaEve

I’m wearing just that nail color today. And that is about the only thing I will ever have in common with the fabulousness that is Ms. Tina Fey.

    • MilaXX

She really looked god, more importantly, she looked comfortable. The dress had enough give that she could sit down and talk without tugging and pulling to make sure all her girly bits were covered.

    • Just Me

She looks fantastic!! Love the dress and the hair. And the haughty self-assurance is well deserved in this case. Nicely done, girlfriend!

      • Rhonda Shore

        Well put! Couldn’t agree more!

        • Just Me

          Thank you.

    • mjude

      love the dress

    • Darren Nesbitt

I don’t like her hands on her hips. She looks as if she is making a physical joke. The last picture is great! #ComedicDivaQueen

    • understateddiva

It looks unfinished, somehow. Like she took off the jacket or jewelry that tied it all together. I don’t grade Tina on a curve anymore, I know she can bring it!

    • MzzPants

What a great talk show interview dress!

    • RussellH88

      I miss Liz Lemon.

    • Nikko Viquiera

For this lady, this is a WERQ!

    • MaggieMae

That’s a good look for her. Well done Miss Tina.

    • Chipster

This is such an interesting dress. Great look for Miss Tina!

    • ashtangajunkie

Smart dress on a smart woman. Favourite.

    • Chuck Barthelme

The lady has it going on.

    • GorgeousThings

I’m in love with Reed Krakoff. I’m trying to figure out how I can dip into my kids’ 529 college accounts to buy myself a RK handbag.

    • Carrieanno

Given the sex/meal/wine or dress – if it’s that particular dress, I’d take the dress.

    • formerlyAnon

She is fast erasing memory of tthe days when her photos elicited sympathetic “not bad, for her” and reminders that well, she’s not really the red carpet kind of entertainer.

    • NYCGlamourpuss

Oooh, I like this dress – I like this whole look! I know some of her looks have been questionable, but she got this right for sure!

    • marlie

Love this. She looks slammin’, and she knows it.

    • JasmineAM

      Those hips!

    • Guest

      Power dressing.

    • MK03

Can I BE Tina Fey?? God, I adore this woman.

    • Dan_In_NYC

Total power dressing. Good for her.

    • Jacqueline Wessel

She looks so good here. Love the dress and her hair is so shiny and healthy looking. But this makes me sad because I really miss David Letterman. He’s been my nightly habit for awhile now (had to take a break from the Daily Show) and Time Warner Cable and CBS are feuding so no David Letterman for me, boo hoo.

    • amanda lynn

She could play Anna Kendrick’s older sister (or mom, ugh…). She looks great!

    • Garcia Loca

Great look for Tina! Plus, bitch don’t age.

    • Imasewsure

Cute look but the hands on the hips pose has got to go.

    • ringthing

I’m so glad that she’s decided to embrace the curvy little bod she’s got. In her book, Tina is pretty hard on herself and her “flaws” – nice to see her looking great and owning it!

    • Not applicable

Love her- but I think the skirt (from the straight front shot) is too tapered in right under the hips/upper thigh. I have a similar shape and sometimes when a tailored skirt nips in around the hips & thighs just a bit too much you wind up looking bigger like bubble hips- and it’s really just an eye trick- know what I mean??

      Otherwise- yea, she looks awesome.

    • Beth513

I’m sure someone beat me to it, but I want to go to there. Lover her with the fire of a thousand suns and she looks fierce as shit here.

    • unbornfawn

One truely talented woman looking fantastic. This is a gal to admire.

    • conniemd

The dress fits impeccably with the waist hitting her in exactly the right place, really showing off her figure.

    • Victoria Anzalone

      A+

    • Stella Zawistowski

Who says she hasn’t also had the sex, the fantastic meal, and the expensive wine? Because her smile says to me that she did.

      (AND it’s a great dress)

    • Rebecca Jay

      Fabaluss, and LOVE the hair!

I would like to see it from behind (i.e., her behind in it).

    • Ann VerWiebe

I was wearing that nail color last week! Mine was Rimmel, but my friend used almost an identical color from OPI.

    • decormaven

      Happy sigh!

    • Nonmercisansfacon

It’s a Lemon-WERQ for me. She has come a long way, style-wise and this proves it.

    • PeaceBang

This just takes me straight to CHURCH. Yes, Lord! Tina Fey, forever and ever, amen!

    • altissima

      Major girl-crushing right now.

    • Mary Featherstone

She looks wonderful from head to toe! I love a good lavender nail polish.
