    • Jen

…Is she vying for a role as Wonder Woman?

      • barbarienne

My first thought, too. Wonder Woman in some sort of alternate universe based on mid-19th century Paris music halls.

        • 3boysful

Great minds. I thought she was wearing Wonder Woman’s boudoir curtains.

        • gabbilevy

… I would watch that show.

      • Emily Smith

I was thinking this was some how an homage to iron man.

      • theblondette

Wonder Woman Goes To The Prom was my scroll down thought.

That said, I quite like it! Not as floofy-dull as Marchesa often is.

        • demidaemon

Wonder Woman would not wear this much frilly crap to prom. It’d be sleek and seductive for her, I think.

      • allisankelly

I was thinking Flash Gordon’s sister…whipped those curtains into a gown in a Flash, ya’ll.

      • elzatelzabelz

That was my first thought too. But, then my second was- I really love Wonder Woman and what they’ve done here is just tragic. This is not only not her dress, it is not anyone’s dress/

      • queen b*tch

That was going to be my comment too! If she was a foot and a half taller then I could see it!

        • http://www.GiftedCollector.com/ The Gifted Collector

I’ll tell her the same thing I said to Eva Longoria (in a post) — Stay away from the Marchesa. You are too short to wear their clothes.

    • Tess Danesi

Head to toe hideousness. At a loss for words.

    • amanda siegelson

omg. hideous. and then you get to the shoes – and it becomes even worse!

i didn’t think worse was possible.

      • zenobar

        Worse is always, always possible.

    • Paigealicious

      Christmas tablecloth circa 1988. Blech.

      • Meg0GayGuys6

It couldn’t have gotten worse if someone blech’d all over it! Ick

      • Introspective

feels like my church christmas pageant with a side of project runway 99c store challenges.

    • eowyn_of_rohan

It’s like someone made a Wonder Woman-cum-Renaissance inspired valance. That’s not a compliment.

      • EditKitten

Thought the EXACT same thing. Like I should be ordering my cheap wine from her at Medieval Times.

    • almondemy

She looks like a young Valerie Harper dressed for a Christmas pageant.

    • deelup

Scarlet O’Hara meets Bordello of Blood.

    • LuisaNL

wow. I… can’t. head to toe, wrong wrong wrong. and she’s such a sweet girl.

    • YoungSally

      Whorehouse curtains

      • Meg0GayGuys6

They look like something out of the Mad Men flashbacks. During an emotional rage, Don ripped the curtains off the wall and wrapped one of the prostitutes in them and secured the “dress” with gold scraps.

    • Guest

      Bordello draperies.

    • zenobar

I’m itchy all over just looking at this dress. *shudder*

    • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

I saw this on another site and my first reaction was, “WTF is on her boobs?” Awful, awful dress.

      • Ginny Ellsworth

        Mine was “WWF”?

    • PeggyOC

      Marchesa must be stopped.

    • siriuslover

She looks cute, but she’s hidden by all those thick layers of cloth.

      • AnneElliot

I agree, the dress is wearing her. She’s too tiny for the dress. A woman about eight inches taller might get away with it, though the color is awful. It’s a really odd shade of red.

Plus the whole draping/breastplate/ruffle thing is bizarre.

        • Dylgeah

I thought the same thing, too short to have a chance of pulling off all that fabric.

    • Jessica Freeman

You should not actually wear theater curtains to the theater.

    • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

Of Course its Marchesa. If it has too much going on, it must be. It looks like she stole the valance from the drapes in a whore house in 1900.

      • Nancer

Right! This is just too much dress for, well, anyone.

      • StellaZafella

“Why Rhett, I saw it in the window and I just couldn’t resist!”
        It. Just. Too. Easy.

        • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

next time she needs to remove the window frame first.

          • conniemd

Thank you for expressing that. The bodice really bugged me with the heavy beige band at the top. Now I see it is the window frame surrounding her boobs.

    • dalgirl

      Bordello valance.

    • abish

An owl averting its eyes in embarrassment.

    • imspinningaround

Wonder Woman goes to prom, 1987.

    • http://www.criminalmoviereviews.com/ Manon @ CMR

      Wonder Woman goes Christmas!

    • Jacquelyn

The shoes she paired with the dress aren’t working at all. The dress itself is rather curtain-y.

    • kmk05

      IRON MAN NAPKINS!

    • barbarienne

That fabric just look so cheap.

    • MilaXX

I like the makeup, but the rest of this look? So wrong. So ugly.

      • teensmom99

I think you’re being I fair: after all, the shorter hair is a good look, too :)

    • crash1212

Looks like Miss Sarah had a Scarlett O’Hara moment…withe less successful results.

    • broke&fashionable

Is it the lighting that is making this look so cheap and tacky? Not that it is that much better on the model but the material looks a lot more luxe.

    • Sarah

U-G-L-Y you ain’t got no ALIBI!! Unless you blame it on Marchesa…

      • sagecreek

I’m always happy to blame just about anything on Marchesa.

    • janneyb

      It’s a Scarlett O’Hara – Wonder Woman mash-up of drapes-as-couture.

      • embers618

That’s what I thought – Scarlett O’Hara does cosplay, poorly.

        • NBG

All this needs is a tiara and bulletproof bracelets.

      • Little_Olive

        Great minds, etc.

The fact that she fas big, cartoony eyes does not help.

        • marlie

Yes. She has a *very* childish face, that I doubt she’ll ever really grow out of. It’ll always make her look like she’s playing dress-up.

    • Chipster

Looks like a big Angry Bird on her chest!

      • YoungSally

I saw Ironman mask….but totally agreed

    • http://asskickingadviser.com/ Ass Kicking Adviser

That is the most hideous dress I have seen in awhile.

      • Little_Olive

And to add insult to injury, it doesn’t even fit right.

    • alyce1213

Words fail me trying to express how ugly I think that dress is. Everything is wrong with it.
      Marchesa, of course.

    • Jennifer Peters-Ahnberg

Oh, baby doll. No. No, no, no. I thought if she just ripped off that awful flounce, but then I got to the shoes. She needs to go on home.

    • nannypoo

I wonder why she wore this.

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_QFW22QV426LUOEPGASPZJWJMDE MishaFoomin

I wonder why Marchesa made this.

    • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Why would you actively want to look like like torn curtains?

    • Judy_J

Looks like Miss Sarah stole Scarlett O’Hara’s “drapery-as-dress” idea.

    • Beardslee

      What a spectacularly hideous dress.

    • hellkell

Did she dip herself in glue and tear through the curtains?

Marchesa is as overrated as McCartney.

    • http://www.tumblr.com/tumblelog/lastbutnotleast janinedm

She looks like bathroom decor you’d buy from a dollar store.

    • AnnaleighBelle

Like the bodice, confused by the skirt.

    • Tatiana Luján

Project Runway season 7, Campbell’s challenge?

    • DamH

for god’s sake please fire her stylist

    • Danielle

      Tony Stark chic.

    • Anplica Fiore

Wonder Woman! But where are her bullet deflecting cuffs?

    • Rand Ortega

Head to toe hiddy. The theater curtain dress, the Shirley Temple curls, those clashing shoes.

I feel like Johnny from “Airplane”: “Where did you get that dress & those shoes & that coat– JEEEEEZ!”

    • Virginia McMurdo

      Wonder Woman.

    • VioletFem

” I saw it in a window and I just couldn’t resist it!”

      • Fordzo

You deserve a chocolate chip cookie.

    • the_valkyrie

My nanna had curtains very very similar to this dress

    • Fordzo

Spring ’13? THIS is what happens when pregnancy hormones meet fashion design. Georgina was clearly temporarily insane and we can all blame the fetus.

Now that I think of it, how awesome would a PR season of pregnant fashion designers be? And not sensible, veteran pregnant women like Laura Bennett.

    • bertkeeter

      Poor thing!

    • Jacqueline Wessel

Such a cute girl in such an ugly dress.

    • Daniel Miño Ferre

She looks like a christmas tree lol

    • MoHub

Marchesa makes Stella McCartney look good.

    • Tanya Wade

      Vegas Boudoir Casino Barbie?

    • mmebam

Bless her heart, girl got tangled up in the curtains in the proscenium…

    • KayEmWhy

      Gone With the Wind 2013.

    • marlie

I’m normally a Marchesa apologist; I love the tulle and frou-frou and busy-ness of her gowns. But this? This is HORRID. It looks like she ripped down cheap curtains from a brothel and wrapped them around herself. And then the shoes are too clunky and focus-pulling, if that’s at all possible.

From the neck up, she looks lovely. From the neck down… honey, go home and start over again.

    • http://www.jaimieteekell.com/ Jaimie

      She’s wearing Iron Man’s face.

    • Little_Olive

Huh. It’s as if Wonder Woman had to produce a gown in a hurry.
      Wait! PR challenge!!

    • Diego!

      Christmas Tree Dress… and TACKY!

    • emilaweb

Wonder Woman on Her Way to a Formal Gala Has an Unfortunate Run-In with a Weed Wacker.

    • Jane

My grammy has a lampshade just like that.

    • Darcy H

When I saw the bodice I was all ready to embrace this as Wonder Woman realness… and then the rest of the look happened.

      • Celandine1

My first thought was Wonder Woman’s prom dress after she fought off a super villian trying to spike the punch!

    • Trisha26

I hope she stayed away from any open flames.

    • http://heartprintandstyle.com/ Vivi N

      Oh gosh.

    • Werwanderflugen

Iron Man chic, but so tragique.

    • ‘Becca’lise Deveaux

      NO.

    • LipstickForPigs

Who the hell is dressing this poor girl?

    • random_poster

It looks like she walked in between two thorny bushes that tore away her skirt.

    • Adriana_Paula

This makes me think of the way an extra would be dressed for a Hittite banquet scene in a splashy MGM Biblical epic before women were allowed to show bellybutton onscreen.

    • Juniper

Saucy wench serving girl at the county Ren Faire got her dress torn during one of the jousting matches.

    • Tracy_Flick

What on earth? Curtains + Holly Hobbie + Iron Man? No.

    • Imasewsure

Put a gladiator helmet on her and she could be the queen of the Caesar’s Palace employee ball or the USC Trojans marching band summer formal. Not a good look

    • AnnPopovic

All I can see is the giant bird beak her chest has become. She’s the newest incarnation of the Power Rangers, right?

    • bellafigura1

That is easily the ugliest dress I’ve seen in quite a while.

      • sweet_potato

        Yes, thank you.

    • Belvane

I loved this dress on the runway, but it does look a bit Bed Bath & Beyond in real life.

    • susan6

Christmas tree ornament of some sort?

    • Kate

The thumbnail made it look like Ken’s dress from last PR episode

    • neonseattle

looks like she tried to modernize a renaissance fair costume

    • kimmeister

Theater curtains with a Mexican wrestler mask on her boobs. Plus terrible shoes.

    • Janet B

      No.

    • shelley514

      This dress is wearing her.

    • Coleen

      Go home, Marchesa. You’re drunk.

    • ThaliaMenninger

It’s a hard rock candy Christmas when they have to steal the drapes off the window at the Best Little Whorehouse.

    • Jessica O’Connell

I will never understand why the beautiful people in Hollywood who have nearly endless means of getting pretty things to wear have so much trouble with it… I understand that she looks young for her age (right withya there, sweetie), but she tends to try to dress so maturely and ends up just looking a hot mess, usually with babyheads. I just don’t get it!

    • Beverly Kozma

The dress is awful, but for once she’s not showing so much boob that I’m embarrassed for her.

    • steeg of their own

The model wore it better… but not by much. She looks surprisingly decent what really is an ugly dress.

    • appliquer

I’m glad to see that the bitter kittens are agreed on the ridiculousness of this dress – another website called it “gorgeous”. Yuck!

    • kalisa

It’s like she said, “It’s the VMAs – just pick me out something weird.”

    • Florence Whytingale

      MY EYES! They do burn.
There is nothing good here. That is the least flattering dress she could have worn, and don’t she know it.

And as TLo would say, ‘those shoes are an abomination unto the Lord’.

    • guest2visits

This is the worst looking crepe-paper pinata, ever. I can’t get behind the shoes or the dolly-faced makeup either. This whole outfit dates her back to the 70s; I think. Disco night.

      • BrooklynBomber

“crepe-paper pinata.” Just because it needed to be repeated.

    • Dan_In_NYC

Not sure how I can love her so much on the show, but be so underwhelmed almost every time I see her on the RC. While I’m all for hair with some texture, I’m not sure curls are for her.

    • Suse

      Holy mother of Zeus!

    • Louise Bryan

      A not-so-rare sighting of the blonde-crested booby.

    • YourBaloneyDontGotNoSecondName

Another mental note for when I go on Project Runway: For the unconventional materials challenge, don’t use historical movie palace drapery.

    • Anniebet

Not only is the dress a mess, but those shoes! Why in the wide world of jillions of gorgeous shoes would she choose something so jarringly wrong?

    • Call me Bee

She looks so darn cute, but that is a mess of a dress.

    • Tom Markiewicz

the bust of that dress looks like a blind eagle… i can’t unsee it now.

    • TLJezebel

Love it on the model. Hate it on her.

    • laura magner

It looks like crepe paper from Party City. If she gets caught in the rain she’s going to be in big trouble.

    • Mariah J

This dress is DREADFUL. I never thought Marchesa could make something so ugly.

    • http://howtofaint.tumblr.com/ How to Faint

She looks like She-Ra on prom night.

    • http://kittysdrawings.com Esz

    • quiltrx

The whorehouse curtains she made that dress from are falling apart!
(I am normally in the don’t-mind-Marchesa camp, but this is a HUGE miss.)

    • sleepycat

It looks like Maria decided to make a dress out of theatre curtains rather then draperies. #musicaltheatrereference

    • Ummy

      Suddenly Christmas decorations…

    • superemang

she looks like the hostess of a whorehouse from the old west.

    • Badriya Al-Badi’a

I am totally seeing an owl in this dress. (Or I should say, the design of the dress–the wearer does not look like an owl herself)

    • librarygrrl64

Oh, you poor dear. That thing looks so cheap and tacky.

    • Lilyana_F

      Xena warrior princess anyone?

    • rougeort

      Oy vey.

    • kathrineb

I don’t know if this is her dress…but if she wants to make it work for her she should put her hair back, the curls make the look even more ‘busy’
