      CK really works for her.

    • Funkykatt

I used to wear those dopey short tops in junior high before there was a dress code. They looked stupid then too.

      • Ginny Ellsworth

I don’t understand the Slab of Ab. It is August. She is wearing fall/winter clothes. Is the exposed midriff supposed to be a vent?

However, I love the shoes and she has really pretty feet. Now I feel weird.

        • kimmeister

Doesn’t your ribcage ever just burn up with heat and need ventilation? Neither does mine.

    • Lisa Hager

Someone please stop the lady stars from doing the crossed-ankle pose. Make. It. Stop.

      • MaryMitch

It beats the “pigeon toed, I’m a three year old and I gotta pee” pose.

    • barbarienne

Rooney, honey, there are facial expressions other than “staring blankly like a Byzantine icon.” Go on, give it a try.

Regarding the clothes: I am a little wigged by long-sleeve cropped tops, but okay. Overall a little bland, not helped by her lack of attempts to sell the outfit.

      • NoveltyRocker

“Byzantine icon” is exactly it! Adds a whole other layer of creep but on the other hand, the fashion world often mines the reference for inspiration… so maybe she employs the stare as part of some high-concept style motif?

      • The Gifted Collector

Long-sleeve cropped top=sleeveless turtle neck top.

        • conniemd

Oh yes. Someone once gave me this gorgeous rose colored short sleeve turtle neck lightweight sweater. I was like, when do I wear this? My arms would be cold in winter and my neck roast in summer.

      • nicewilliams

It’s all part of her branded look. If you check out early pics of her, pre-Dragon Tattoo, she looks like the very generic, sweet girl-next-door. Byzantine seems to make her appear more interesting. I totally said, YES! when I read byzantine icon. So dead on.

    • annabelle archer

What’s happening at the top of the skirt? Is that a different material, a fit issue, I can’t make it out but it looks strange. Not loving the proportions here. Her hair is sad, but her face sure is pretty.

      • Florrie Brafman

Looks to me as though the grain of the waistband is running horizontally, and is vertical on the rest of the skirt.

        • annabelle archer

          thanks : )

        • quiltrx

I couldn’t quite tell, thanks for the good eye. It sort of looked like an exposed preggo panel there for a minute.

    • Clueless_Jock

      Severe yet sexy.

      • StellaZafella

“Severe” was the word I was looking for…I struggle though, even with the bare midriff, to see this as particularly sexy…but then everyone has their own “on” switches. For me, It’s like the simplicity almost belies, even tries to thwart her incredible beauty. Perhaps juxtaposition is the game.

      • kirkyo

        Nailed it.

    • MilaXX

I understand that sleek is her thing, but that hair looks horrible. A simple pony tail would have been better.

      • mjude

its taken me all day to have TLO’s site open on my computer. anyway i totally agree about her hair & the pony tail.

      • GillianHolroyd

Her hair is reminding me of Loki in the new Thor preview… but that’s not a *bad* thing.

        • MilaXX

It’s a look that works for cosplay not couture.

      • Kristin McNamara

That part is so intense and her hair is slicked back so tightly, it looks like her head is splitting open, down the middle.

    • Valdri8

      From the hair down:

      That was so satisfying……

    • SewingSiren

Everything she wears looks so effortless. Even when she’s wearing artistic couture she looks like she could care less . This is understated and elegant. Who ever her stylist is , they are a genius at matching the clothes with the red carpet personality.

      • Ginny Ellsworth

I love that you said “red carpet personality” and agree wholeheartedly.

      • BKagainwiththesweatpants

When I first read this, I saw “autistic couture,” which this outfit isn’t an example of, but its like has shown up in spades on TLo (eg, see Lily Collins’s outfit earlier this week). Also, her hair looks like a hair version of stankboot to me. I usually like her style, but this ain’t gettin’ it.

        • SewingSiren

Now I think it says autistic couture , and I wrote it.

    • ConnieBV

This reminds me of when I was preggo and I wore those tubes over my jeans when I couldn’t button them any more. They were soft and comfy and concealed big plates of pasta and fetuses with ease and simplicity. The only thing they weren’t was stylish.

      So, NO. Hell no.

    • Maluca

She’s firmly staking her spot on the “of course” area.

    • Cloveradams

Agree with barbarienne. It’d be a relief if she for once – just once, Rooney! – didn’t look as if she was in a hostage video.

    • Laurie Landry

      …and eye roll.

    • HVM

      I feel…depressed…after looking at her.

    • Catiline

Boring outfit, turrible hair, and her “too sensitive for this sinful earth” facial expression is working my last nerve.

    • eowyn_of_rohan

This is definitely the tallest I’ve ever seen her look, since she’s a wee thing. And since I’m totally in love with her I’m also totally biased about whether or not I like this look. (I do.)

    • Chipster

      Whewboy! That hair!

    • marlie

I sort of like this. I’m never going to be 100% behind bare midriffs, but the austere look suits her. And I love the shoes. Except… that HAIR.

      (Edited for end-of-day brain death.)

    • Tatiana Luján

I don’t like a single thing about her outfit and, yet, I think she looks good.

    • elemspbee

      omg the hair? so unpleasant

    • BrooklynBomber

I like it. Or I think I would, if I could see it (despite not being a fan of midriff-baring). I don’t mind that she doesn’t look comfortable. At least she’s not forcing a silly red carpet pose.

      • sleah_in_norcal

unlike someone else on this page who shall remain unnamed but her initials are j.a…..snark.

    • Lilyana_F

It’s alright, but a pop of color of some kind would do nicely.Hair and make-up are a fail.

    • Imasewsure

Thought it was another Lily Collins picture at first. Nice to see our Bot back.

    • Imasewsure

I like it but she gets automatic points for just being her

    • jmorino08

    • kmk05

This is how you make Audrey-bot work, Lily Collins!

    • Anne At Large

Her stylist is stuck on Rooney-bot now, somebody reboot!

    • demidaemon

She looks like someone from one of those Amish reality shows who took a pair of scissors to her clothes.

    • homespunner

    • Donna Tabor

      Sexy novitiate.

    • amanda lynn

*there’s* the gal from the facebook movie!

    • TLJezebel

      Of course.

    • ankali

I am one of her biggest apologists, but I don’t care for this. It’s sleek, unusual, and eye-catching, but I don’t think it’s flattering.

She’s still gorgeous, though, and I love the weird tension her face has between severity and porcelain prettiness.

    • MartyBellerMask

      Over it.

    • Levedi

I finally figured out who she looks like – Loki in the Avengers. She could be Tom Hiddleston’s sister. Ooh. I know it’s not canon, but wouldn’t be cool for Loki to have a female counterpart or parallel universe version?

      • Supernumerary

Loki has been known to change gender on occasion, so technically this is totally doable.

    • Tarquin

      VERY J.W. Anderson

    • Tippi123

Not a fan of mixing dark blue and black

    • kathrineb

      I like it!

    • SM

I love her makeup, and she normally leaves me really cold.

    • carnush

Love it. She looks lovely in blue.

    • Dani Colman

Not sold on the outfit and I think the hair*style* is terrible, but you have to hand it to the way she’s transitioning from Lisbeth Salander back to her girl-next-door look. Whatever length or ridiculous cut her hair has been, it’s almost always perfectly styled, and the way she’s very gradually taking it from the black back up to her natural brunette is a thing of beauty. Style-wise this is her first major hair misstep, and that’s even with the crazy Salander bangs.

    • Kikishua

She looks as if she’s trying really hard not to clench her fists.

    • anotherkate

Was everyone required to wear Calvin Klein to this movie? (Is it a movie ABOUT Calvin Klein? Oh god, it is, isn’t it?)

    • Stacy Feng

      Audrey-Bot is evolving!
