OMG… my eyes!!!! Please, sue your whole styling team. NOW!

  • Karen Belgrad

    It’s like a Hershey bar… with mold.

  • Nikko Viquiera

well, that sure isn’t a boring grey suit! bravo for being adventurous, but i wish the fit was better.

    • d4divine

The fit looks perfect to me. How could it be any better?

      • Looks like the button is pulling a bit, but he’s quite frenetic.

        • clairellis

Who cares how it fits. My eyes are burning.

      • MoHub

Both pieces appear to be at least two sizes too small. And the jacket might have worked better with solid-color pants anyway.

  • kimbalala

is it weird that the thing i hate the most is the collar chain?

    • Molly

I was willing to go to bat for the outfit until I saw that.

    • Laurie Landry

      me too!

  • d4divine

I kinda like it, but I wish he’d chosen a darker shoe…navy perhaps…that white shoe isn’t working AT ALL

  • StellaZafella

    Nice lips.

  • Neil Fortin

This is fantastic I want one immediately

  • marlie

It’s all sorts of crazy but I kind of like this. No really… it’s interesting and eye-catching, and it sort of suits him. (And at least he’s not styled like the model.)

    • wontons

I’m still trying to decide and would like to see him without it for comparison’s sake.

  • NoveltyRocker

This is just great! He has the face and hair for something like this. My preference is never to see such bold pattern on both top and bottom pieces but we rarely ever see someone branch out like this so I love it. I have no idea what’s setting off the glowiness around his shoes though. A dressier, darker shoe would have gelled the whole conceit.

    • MarTeaNi

I have no idea what’s setting off the glowiness around his shoes though

Leftover CGI. Movies are really going overboard on the visual effects these days, it’s gets all over everything.

    • aesteve212

It is a reflective shoe – they are SUPER cool in person because they catch your eye but aren’t lit up like this (probably due to the flash). can’t remember the designer. That being said – none of this is working.

      • NoveltyRocker

Now that you say that and I take a closer look, that would be pretty cool on Cosmic Bowling Night =)

  • joanna dash

Love the suit itself. I strenuously object to the shirt and the shoes.

  • marlie

    Let’s run down TLo’s list…

    1. Not a boring color.
    2. He doesn’t have his hands in his pockets.
    3. This couldn’t have been fitted more perfectly.
    4. He has the body type to pull off the super-skinny, cropped pant.

The only mark against him is the silly pose in the last picture.

    • Shawn EH

And the glow in the dark shoes?

      • marlie

Honestly, they even work for me in this case.

    • Felicia Zuniga

I think, but I’m not sure, that the last picture wasn’t actually a pose as it was a “What the hell are they asking me to do?” I happened to catch a video of him posing and it’s literally nonstop shrieking for him to turn this way or that way. The poor thing seemed completely bewildered. If it’s like that for a relative unknown (stateside at least), I have a new level of appreciation for the why some celebrities loathe walking the carpet.

    • jen_vasm

…and the collar jewelry. But terribly bold and mostly successful. I like!

  • ceceliadid

    Vera Bradley couture!

    • Imasewsure

Yes and for a few dollars more you could get a matching bag too!!

  • watchmesoar

I’m all for patterned suits and less boring male red carpet looks…but Robert should pick a different pattern and try again.

  • ampg

I am incredibly impressed by his style-related adventurousness. I’m kind of bummed that this is a Whiteboard post; I’m surprised that TLo wouldn’t have anything to say about this look.

  • In_Stitches

The shoes pull focus and he needs a tie. I’m thinking both should be blue; let the eye rest a bit.

  • AshBookworm

Come on, TLo! Why is this on the whiteboard? You really had nothing to say about this? I… I’m speechless.

    • Nikko Viquiera

      Maybe they were too!

  • Clueless_Jock

    That suit makes me nervous..

  • Nonmercisansfacon

My favorite Misfit! Looking good and most of all, original.

    • twigg

      monkey slut is blown.

  • unbornfawn

Very bold. He seems to be pulling it off.

  • julnyes

This is a Robert Sheehan suit if I ever saw one. Would love a tie instead of the chain and darker shoes, but otherwise it works for him.

  • Eva_baby

If this outfit is anything to go by, I am now more convinced than ever that the character he played in Misfits was all him.

  • formerlyAnon

He is freaking adorable. Also the guy at the party that as you’re getting introduced you’re thinking “I’m gonna love him or hate him, wonder which way this cat will jump?”

I wish his shoes were darker. Failing that, I’d prefer longer pants legs. And I wish there was a cleaner line at the top of the pants, the rumply tuck in looks unfinished. Other than that, he’s good to go.

  • Rand Ortega

He looks like that guy who came in 2nd when Kelly Clarkson won American Idol. “shivers” I have no idea what his name is nor is it worth it to me to google him. Love the suit. Kudos for being adventurous. The little chain on the collars screams “Phillip Michael Thomas in Miami Vice” a bit too loudly.

    • gabbilevy

My first thought was that Lee Pace had gotten a tan and a perm. That’s a compliment… j’adore Lee Pace.

    • Constant Reader

THAT is what was bothering me! He looks like Justin… Something or other. Thank you. I shouldn’t be holding that against him and putting that aside he is rather adorable on his own merits. Love the suit, hate the Miami Vice styling (collar chain and shoes).

    • marlie

Justin Guarini. I only know that because he’s a Philly guy, and he still pops up around here every once in a while.

  • Miss wks

Oh lordy, he is one beautiful man. LOVE his look.

  • Jacqueline Wessel

I’m kinda blinded by the white here, so maybe different shoes and shirt. I have no idea who he is but he is cute, has a sweet smile and I love his hair.

  • MaggieMae

    Whoa! Bold!

  • majorbedhead

You know those low-rider cars you see people driving, the ones that have the purple or blue neon lights on the undercarriage? That’s the vibe I get from those shoes. The suit has rendered me blind, I fear.

  • ‘Becca’lise Deveaux

He looks like boy Amy Irving in Carrie.

  • Therese Bohn

No idea who he is, I appreciate his boldness – but I think the direction of the fabric in the model’s jacket is better.

  • Chipster

I like it! He’s a young guy at a movie premier and he does’t look like some junior financial manager. Seems entirely appropriate to wear something like this to the premier of a movie like “The Mortal Instruments.” The chain thing is a little too much but over all, he looks great!

  • crash1212

Wow. That’s a lot of look. He sure has pretty eyes. Love the shoes on the model.

  • NinjaCate

Wish he’d gone with the original pant, but I like it! Is that weird?

    • VioletFlame

      Nope. Feel the same way.

  • JasmineAM

I just love him. Great actor and great suit.

  • cjarellano

I’m sorry, but I love every second of this.

  • Maggie Smith

Pahahahaha! Well that suit just elicited the loudest fit of desk laughter since Buzzfeed’s “27 Cats That Immediately Regret Their Decisions”

  • I love this! I’m a sucker for paisley and curly-dark-haired men. I like that this version of the jacket doesn’t have much of the large paisley pattern. I think that would have been too much with these pants. Maybe a dusty turquoise-y blue shoe would be better.

  • YourBaloneyDontGotNoSecondName

He looks as if he plagiarized his Barbizon School Of Modeling senior thesis from an International Male catalog.

  • BrooklynBomber

I didn’t understand anything in the title of this post except the words “in,” “at,” and “premiere,” but I love the outfit and whoever he is, he’s got the body for it. I like the pant on the model even better.

  • Lily

I really love this. It suits him and his personality to a tee. I don’t care for the shoes, but I can ignore it when the rest of it is working so good for me.

  • MilaXX

    Yay Nathan!

  • Jennifer Peters-Ahnberg

I don’t necessarily like it, but it works on him.

  • conniemd

It’s like a really strong pattern with a top and pants or skirt for women. TOOOOOOO MUCH. Wear the jacket with plain pants or the pants with a plain jacket, but both together kills the eyes.

  • SewingSiren

What a fun look for a young guy. I love the shoes especially.

  • Watts

THIS is a decidedly new and different flavor of sausage. TASTY.

  • Linda LaPaz

He has THE most punchable face.

  • Monabel

This blast of 70’s pattern&color gives me life!

  • TaurusKW

I don’t particularly love it, but god bless him for actually wearing FASHION as a male star on the Red Carpet. Others need to follow his example.

    • terpsichory

MTE! The first interesting suit in ages and then it gets relegated to the kitchen table (you know what I mean).

Fashion cojones should trump mere name power every once in a while.

  • YoungSally

If it were tighter in the waist I would say he stole it from the Professor of Paisley himself – Prince.

  • Lilyana_F

    He’s working it.

  • alyce1213

Not everyone can pull this off, I’m sure glad there’s someone who can. High points for courage and style. Very cool.

  • Florence Whytingale

If y’all haven’t seen the TV show Love/Hate, go fetch immediately. This man is heavenly.

    • MilaXX

I knew him from the Misfits. I adore his dorkiness

  • nannypoo

Who the hell is this? He’s going to take some getting used to.

  • Anniebet

Well, that took some guts to wear. He’s cute as hell, beautiful eyes and face. He’s got a puppy quality about him that makes you wanna take him home and feed him table scraps. Those shoes are neon white!

  • macwell

It is a bit much, but given the lack of anything remotely memorable from the other male red carpet pole dancers – I’ll take NEVERENDING paisley a any day….IJS….-_-

  • Imasewsure

I said… “You look like an idiot!” So sorry you didn’t hear me the first time!

  • Imasewsure

Sorry but that hair is pure Mrs. Roper

  • deech

This is exactly the suit I would have expected his Misfits character to wear. Possibly because it doesn’t look out of place on him to me, but I like it. Hey boys, how about some photos of Iwan Rheon?

  • librarygrrl64

He is a very cheeky actor, so this fits his personality, but I hate these shoes with it. And the collar chain? No, Bobby, no.

  • Mags

I love everything about this except for the shoes. He should have done something similar to what the model is wearing.

  • suzinrva

I automatically turn him into Nathan from Misfits and then it all makes sense.

  • a_liking

I love this, and I love him. He was so fantastic in Misfits. I might see this new movie just for him. Honestly I just wish the second button was done up.

  • That’s a lotta look. I like it, but I think it’d work together if the pattern were uniform in the suit, or at least in the jacket. He’s pretty though.

  • nicewilliams

He’s the male version of a bridesmaid.

  • veleri

    quirky adorable. so much love.

  • Aurumgirl

Who is this man? He looks like the reincarnation of Pierre Elliot Trudeau, circa 1966. With much more curly hair.

I actually like the suit but the white shoes are a severe and resounding no.

  • ItsDicey

    It’s….a look.

  • oohsparkley!

I love it! Not sure about the shoes, but it’s still a young man Werq.

  • anotherkate

Good for him! Why not wear a goofy paisley suit? This is not, as TLo have emphatically informed us, a damn bank.

  • LaSylphide

Love it, even if it’s a little startling when you first see it. Shoes have to go, though.

  • lalahartma

    Ha! I love this guy.

  • Suse

I think Lenny Kravitz would look hot in this with his big ol’ platform boots.
