Patrick Dempsey on Good Morning America

Posted on August 27, 2013

It’s such a cliche to say it – and it’s said about far too many men who don’t really deserve it – but he really is one of those rare motherfuckers who gets better with age.

“Grey’s Anatomy” star Patrick Dempsey makes an appearance on “Good Morning America” in New York City.

Goddamn him. Goddamn him to HELL.

And we want his outfit. Except the jeans. They’re borderline Pop-pop jeans.

They’re really not, but we had to say something mean.

      Goddam! Woof!

    • Lizzy

Good lord Ronald….. you have been the man of my dreams for almost 25 years now.

      • ConnieBV

I didn’t meet him until Mobsters, but he was definitely the best thing about it.

    • Karen Belgrad

McLove… but damn, does he look startled in the first few pics.

    • teensmom99

And when the guy who’s aging so nicely has such a well-cut jacket . . . *swoon.*

    • Just Me

As someone who came up “watching” him, all I can say is “You ain’t never lied!” He went from “kinda dorky-cute” to “Oh my God, what magic man-making machine did they put him in to make him this fucking hot!?” And he keeps getting better…the touch of gray is giving me life.

      • mshesterp

God, I love a 40ish man with gray in his hair. It’s just. So. Delicious.

        • Just Me

          I have one…and I have to agree:-)

        • Just Me

I actually convinced my slice of 40s goodness NOT to color his hair because I prefer the salt and pepper thing he has going on right now.

          • mshesterp

I dated a guy with s&p hair, and he just never understood why I thought it was sexy. He thought it just made him look old, although he never colored it, thank heavens. And I told him, “are you crazy??” Do NOT mess up a good thing, handsome.

            • Just Me

Yeah, mine thought it made him look “old” too, but I told him it made him look like he knows what he’s doing…and now of course, he gets hit on more that he has the gray — which boosts his ego to no end – even though he “oh so gently” tells the ladies (and a few gents) that he has steak at home. But, now he thinks he’ll just keep the gray…for my sake. Yeah, right partner.

            • kryten8

I like it, too! My husband has been s&p since the age of nine, and it always makes me feel like I married a mysterious older man, without having to be married to someone who is mysterious or actually older.

    • NYCGlamourpuss

Oh, they’re NOT Pop-Pop jeans – although you know that phrase cracks me up, so I can let it go! :-D

He really does get better with age. I remember seeing him for the first time in the ads for “Can’t Buy Me Love”, and I pointed and laughed. Remember how he played the DORK who hooked up with the pretty girl? And he pretty much WAS a dork back then! How he’s blossomed.

    • http://www.djplaw.com/ Tadiana

He’s still looking too worried. Obviously he still needs hugs and … whatever … from BKs.

      • NYCGlamourpuss

I’ll be happy to supply the “whatever”.

    • fiestyfashionfem

      Nomnomnomnomnomnom

    • Diego!

He’s been my Crush and impossible love since I was 15… Patrick I love you and you look stunning ALWAYS!!!

      • BarniClaw

        My brother’s, too!

        • Diego!

Oh well, he can do the line… After me, of course! xD

    • kimmeister

That little white streak above his brow is awesome. When I go gray, I hope it comes in like that!

    • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

      Sah Lurp!

    • DanimalChgo

Those are truly terrible pictures of a very handsome man.

    • alyce1213

He looks great. It’s a whole lotta blue, but there’s variety in print and shade, so it works.
The shoes I’m not so crazy about. Maybe they just look too new and stiff — even the soles are spotless.

    • filmcricket

He’s doing the contractually-obligated watch-flaunt almost as well as Reese Witherspoon displays her handbags.

I can think of a few negative things to say here, but I won’t. I’ll let those who love him bask in it.

      • decormaven

Great minds think alike! Love how he “anxiously” fiddles with his watch. Heck, you know your handlers have you there in plenty of time to do the autograph run!

    • Jacqueline Wessel

“but we had to say something mean.” I love you guys.

    • Kate Andrews

I was like, pop-pop jeans? They need to see my dad’s jeans!

      • Shawn EH

        Jealousy is a curse!

    • Imasewsure

And he doesn’t dress like a hipster or a lounge lizard but still manages to have some style (even in the pop pop jeans)

    • Meredith

But men also get plastic surgery done – like Clive Owen. Look closer at him in “Gosford Park” – he doesn’t have the same facial bone structure he has now. So, just sayin, sometimes men who get better with age are having some help just like women.

      • aahlife

Early in his career he was a teen geek. His nose was rather large with a bulbous tip. Later he got rhinoplasty and it had a transformative change in his appearance and in his career. He has admitted that he is a regular user of botox.

        • Shawn EH

Some noses need fixes. The saddest thing is the ones that don’t and get it anyway. Poor Li’l Kim.

      • Shawn EH

Clive has left his nose alone at least!

Another one who looks like he always smells nice, always opens the door for you and always charms the socks off your mother.

      • Just Me

In other words…nice hands, cleans up (very) nicely and teachable:-)

        • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

          You know what I like.

      • ms_smartiepants

You’re not wrong. According to one of my besties, who used to be his kids’ nanny rather a while ago, he’s exactly as lovely, awesome, and charming as he seems.

    • kirkyo

I want those shoes. I love that “barely grey” color.

    • ‘Becca’lise Deveaux

Can’t help thinking of the African Anteater Ritual whenever i see him, haha.

      • Sarah

        Riding lawn mowers….

      • MilaXX

        I love you for this!

    • flamingoNW

Yummy! Love the shoes especially. And, you know, what’s in them….

    • CeeQ

hehehehe even with the “…the fuck?” look on his face the entire time =)

    • MilaXX

Love him to bits. I still remember when he went from this scrawny kid to McDreamy seemingly overnight.

    • Heather

I’ll move aside and let others have him. Not my type.

    • Anne

      Smile, McDreamy!

    • majorbedhead

      Yum.

    • NoveltyRocker

Get’s better through freakin’ transmutation! He’s further away from Loverboy every year.

    • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

Humina, humina, humina. Love the gray in his gorgeous hair.

    • Shawn EH

Hottest English professor of all time!

    • Jennifer Peters-Ahnberg

      Could not agree more.

    • Celeste

      *swoon*

    • marlie

Hot professor, FTW. He’s *definitely* gotten better with age.

    • tereliz

Yes, Senor Pizza? I’d like a pie with EXTRA ANCHOVIES.

    • Danielle

Bless. I want to run my fingers through that mop of curly hair.

    • jjtxgrrl

Ive always crushed on Dempsey….even when he was the nerd lawnboy in “Can’t Buy Me Love”…..heee heee. I’m so glad he has a resurgence of popularity in recent history.

So I can look at him.

    • http://asskickingadviser.com/ Ass Kicking Adviser

Totally. I thought he was so unattractive when we were all younger and now I feel different. Not completely different, but different.

    • clairellis

He makes me feel things down below. Tingly things.
