Olivia Wilde Style Double Shot
Miss Olivia’s been busy lately. Let’s catch up.
Olivia Wilde makes an appearance on the “Late Show With David Letterman” to promote her new movie “Drinking Buddies” in a J. Mendel sapphire silk wool gazaar racer front dress with full skirt paired with Christian Louboutin sandals.
We’ve been staring at this one for a good ten minutes now. That’s probably a good thing, because we keep trying to come up with reasons not to like it and failing. The color and shape are gorgeous for her. The bodice is insanely over-complicated, and while we can’t say we love it, it does tend to keep things interesting. Still, it elongates her chest area and shortens her torso. That’s a problem. But we don’t know… it mostly works and it’s not boring.
And yes, the silly putty shoes work great here.

We just don’t know about those strappy shoes all the ladystars seem to be wearing this month. We don’t hate them, but we never quite see them deployed when they should be. We think these would look better with a shapelier skirt; something with a little swing to it. They look a little clumsy with a pencil skirt. Could be that we just don’t love the color of them. Technically, they go with the skirt, but we think they’re fighting with it.
Everything else looks great here. We’d call both of these outfits more good than bad. If we were giving an overall grade here, she’s a solid B.
