You guys, late-summer air-conditioning head colds are the absolute WORST, amirite? Except for famines and natural disasters and deadly diseases, yes. But still. THE WORST. Your average head cold is a tinkly little player piano in comparison to the late-summer air-conditioning head cold, which, in this comparison, is more akin to a Chinese Opera. We’re dying here.

We need something to distract from our giant dripping heads (and well-cultivated flair for drama) at the moment. This’ll do nicely.

We love the dress. We are very not sure about the shoes. The bag is definitely a green bridge too far, but we think the shoes are open to discussion. Too big and clunky? That’s what we’re thinking. We could deal with the green if the shoes didn’t look like they weighed ten pounds a piece.

But she’s bright and colorful; full of pattern and visual interest. We’ll definitely take this over yet another boring B&W outfit.

      I feel like the shoes and the hem length are fighting each other. A little bit shorter dress, and the shoes are better. The dress length and the pattern at the hem pulls your eyes down, and then, BOOM- heavy shoes.

      That said, i love the dress lol. Reminds me of the 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12 song from Sesame Street, but in a good way.

        I just started singing this song out loud without even thinking about it. That was one of my favorite parts of Sesame Street.

          Man, I miss old Sesame Street, back when it was all trippy and weird and Sesame Street was kind of dirty and only Big Bird could see Snuffy and there was no freakin’ Elmo and his annoying World.

      I think the same about the shoes. While pretty, they look heavy. I think she needed to take it up just a touch on the make up.

      I like the shoes with this look, other than the fact that they are clearly 2 sizes too big for her. As for the bag, I would have gone with one that picked up the pale turquoise in the dress. Otherwise? Slammin’!

      The green accessories are focus pulling. The shoes are too big for her and too clunky.. She needed a more delicate shoe that would let the dress be the focus. And she should have saved that purse for fall.

        I like that the shoes are green, but the aforementioned clunkiness, ankle straps and detailing are giving me a stripper vibe when you look at the closeup.

      I like the dress and the overall look of it. The hem length is perfect and one of the first things I noticed. The shoes she’s wearing definitely look better than the model’s shoes. Yes, they look a bit clunky but I’m more concerned about the material. Is it velour? Reminds me of winter season. Same goes for the handbag. However, I do like the green for both accessories actually. I would suggest a different, stronger lip colour.

      The last time I wore shoes that were that big on me was when I played dress-up in my mommy’s closet. I understand these are designer samples, but how well is their brand really represented when the starlet looks like she’s going to walk out of them or squish her toes to death?

      I love the shoes! Something about them reminds me of the 90s (and were probably a 70s rehash even then)- I had this awesome pair of shoes that had a similar heel but with a closed toe and they were black patent leather. Oh how I miss my shoes from the 90s.

      I am loving all of this. And I think that matching accessories have been out for so long that maybe it’s time to revisit them – it seems like some stylists agree, because I am seeing this more frequently on the red carpet. As to the shoes, if you look at the model photo she’s wearing some fairly heavy shoes with this dress also, so I say go with it! That dress is fab!

      The shoes pull focus. I love the dress, and the shoes might look good with something else, but with this, they just draw the eye down from the very cool dress.

      love love the dress. The print is to die for. the shoes are too much although the color is cool. But bad choice on the matchy bag and I would have liked to see a bit more make-up on her beautiful face

      I love this dress, I love her makeup. I’m not mad at the shoes, but I wish the bag didn’t match them exactly. I also wish that they fit. Shoes that fit are such a wonderful thing.

      I do not understand the match accessories. I hate suede and the shoes are too big.
      I don’t have a headache but I’m cranky nonetheless.

      The dress is cute, but it makes her (and the model) look like they have no shape. The shoes *could* work, but I’m too distracted by the huge gap in the back. And she most certainly needed to go with a different bag.

      I was all set to hate the dress until I saw it on her. On the model it looks like a modern Irish step dance costume. I like the shoes, and the 40s vibe they bring to the whole look. I hate the bag. Even if it wasn’t a green bridge too far, there’s something about the suede/handle/Pantone-color-of-the-year combo that makes my eye twitch.

      I love this except the shoes look too big (size-wise; I don’t mind the weightiness) to me. But I love it anyway. The dress looks as if nobody else could wear it so well.

      Don’t like the bag, wouldn’t mind the chunky heels if the shoe was also noticeably too big. It males the shoes stand out in a bad way.I think I would have gone for the blue color instead of the green, but that’s a matter of preferences.

      Oh-oh: in the minority here. This is a ‘good on paper’ dress to me: I love pattern/print/Katrantzou, but I really don’t like anything here.

      Are there classes that starlets take in how to walk in borrowed shoes? Those shoes look crazy hard to walk in if they were molded to her foot, much less a size and a half too big, like hers.

      Love the dress and I’m cool on the green accessories.

      I love the dress! The pattern gives you lots to look at, and the white sides give your eye a place to rest. And the simple shape really works (I think overworked design is where a lot of these “tons of pattern” dresses mess up.).
      I am unable to sign off on the shoes–because my Barbie had them in the late 70s/early 80s.

      LOVE this dress, but prefer it on the model rather than Olivia. ie: the pattern on the dress needs to be the star rather than focus-pulling green accessories.

      The dress needed to be 3″ shorter, and possibly belted to break up the long-waistedness. I adore the shoes (if they had been in her size), but then again, I’m a sucker for green.

      love the dress and the color green but it’s way too long,n and the matchy accessories are way too burbank high school 1963. except we wore shoes that fit. that purse is too cute!

      I think she looks great. And, I forgive anything green. That dress is really setting off her eyes!
      TLO – I had that “cold.” I almost died (or, more correctly, spent the weekend in bed with fever and Kleenex and bitter resentment.) Go get antibiotics! It’s worse than you think. My dr. said it’s sweeping the Eastern Seaboard, whatever it is.

      I like the dress, but the white panels on the side tend to slim the body to the central rectangle – and then the head feels outsized. It’s a minor problem on the model, but a major one on Olivia, who has a relatively large head and a really strong jawline. I keep wanting to shrink her head down a size for every shot – not a comfortable sensation. She’s slipping into uncanny valley, and a dress should never do that to you.

      The bag looks like a (bad) granny purse shrunk down to clutch size. The heel portion of that shoe is just a TAD too chunky, but I will forgive that because this dress is SO cool. Anything that makes Olivia Wilde look less like a mean bitch (clarification: I don’t really think she is) is an A++ in my book!
