Inspired by worn out French prosttutes of the 1920’s? Not a fan of the layout…but some nice looks!

      • Levedi

Okay, so it’s not just me. My first thought was “high end brothel circa 1920.”

        • MDubz

My first thought was Maude from the Big Lebowski.

Ugh….It’s so hard being ridiculously wealthy…sighhhhhhhh…..

In almost every shot, my eye was drawn directly to the maid. Maybe they shouldn’t have made her costume so light and then blended the colors of the other outfits into the room.

      • alyce1213

Me too! Maybe also it’s because she’s captured somewhat “in motion,” unlike the others who languish statically with bored expressions. And no credit for the maid model either.
Looking back, there are some nice clothes.

    • Nancer

Beautiful clothing, silly editorial. And why don’t their clothes stay on their shoulders? Are their shoulders…. slippery?

    • Nicholas

      Gas-leakage realness.

    • AmeliaEve

It’s so exhausting toting around enormous, expensive handbags.

      • Ginny Ellsworth

Reminds me of Madeline Kahn in Blazing Saddles…”I’m so tired!”

        • Rand Ortega

Yay! Lili Von Schtupp shoutout! “Ain’t it a fwiggin’ shame!”

    • 3boysful

I like it! It’s very arresting. They’ve made “live mannequins” look like fake ones, yet the still contrast against the relative flatness of the background. It’s like some seedy-but-not cousin of Downton Abbey.

    • mmebam

      STEAL ALL THE BAGS!

    • YoungSally

This is where the ladies from the train a few seasons back were doing at the end of the journey.

    • StellaZafella

I reeeeeally want to spend $10,000 to dress myself so I can end up looking like a Sears mannequin.

    • cowper

I’m so exhausted from doing absolutely nothing.

    • filmcricket

Yet another designer who’s been watching Mad Men, except they were only paying attention to the whore house flashbacks.

    • NoveltyRocker

So that early 2000’s embellished, velvet slip dress thing is really coming back, isn’t it?

    • Meg0GayGuys6

“At least I wouldn’t skin a collie to make my backback”

      The models look like mannequins,

    • Meg0GayGuys6

“Well at least I wouldn’t skin a collie to make my backpack!”

The models look like mannequins. I never understand hiring such expensive models when they’re going to wind up looking like mannequins.

    • MGMcD

Is that a velvet bias cut slip dress? Is it 1994 again? Oh baby Jebus deliver us from 90s fashion reboots.

      • bertkeeter

        Deliver us from 2013′ Fasfions!

    • Qitkat

      That poor maid. It’s like she’s a half-ghost.

The tragic ennui of wealthy boredom.

    • MK03

Shot on location in Don Draper’s childhood whorehouse.

Draw me like one of your French girls, Jack. However, I do want all of the shoes (and a place to wear them).

    • marlie

It’s underwhelming. But I’ll take some of the shoes and purses, thankyouverymuch.

    • susan6

      Sanitarium or bordello?

    • decormaven

This is a direct page out of “The September Issue” – the Roaring 20s Galliano shoot styled by Grace C.

    • boweryboy

TLo, I miss that you guys no longer give your astute observations and commentary on fashion shows and ad campaigns. I loved to hear your perspective of them. Is that something you’re now only for fashion week?

    • Danielle

I can smell the cigarette smoke and moth bolls from here.

    • Synnamin

What IS it about ad campaigns where the models all look bored and stoned out of their minds?

      • Levedi

Given how undernourished they are, this is probably as much energy as they can project.

    • Shawn EH

I didn’t realize it wasn’t all the same woman at first, with those wigs. I think I can make out Gisele and Karen.

    • crash1212

Man, you’d think LV could spring for better looking wigs.

    • Anniebet

The maid is giving more realness than the models. At least I assume it’s plural models, they all look like the same person. The same boring, bored person. Bah. Silly ad campaign.

    • MilaXX

I just want that bag in the 3rd picture.

    • unbornfawn

I can see what they are going for, but it isn’t working.

    • Gloriana Reginata

The only word for this photoshoot is: grim. East Germany in the 50’s level of grimness. It makes me cold and miserable just looking at it.

After engaging in discussions on this forum about the way celebs carry their purses when they’re walking down the street (being photographed), I’m amused by the third photo in this group. Hypothetically, the purse would contain a wallet and cell phone at least. What an uncomfortable way to hold a purse. :-D

    • ballerinawithagun

Use three of the top models ever and then erase them. Why???

    • wontons

I bet you have to leave a really big tip in that ladies’ loo.

    • Zulliza Alizul

That’s a male model dressed in a maid uniform right???? Is there any way that you guys can confirm this?? He’s stealing all the freaking shots! I have to scroll back up to see the bags but ended up studying the maid again. +_+

    • Beverly Kozma

No pictures – am I doing something wrong?
