Lily Collins Double Shot

Posted on August 05, 2013

Gotta love this girl. She is BRINGING IT to the poledance.

Bitch wore thigh-highs in August. For a mall tour. Recognize. She’s observing one of the oldest rules in the rising celebrity playbook: give the public something to look at. There’s nothing low-key about this look. Everyone will leave being able to describe it fairly accurately. Mission accomplished. We love the blouse.

Even better, Miss Girl can switch it up on a dime (or after a quick plane ride):

Is there any way for us not to love a young lady who wears her drag heels to the mall? We’re afraid we don’t like the top and skirt matching each other. We much prefer the way the model’s wearing it. Even so, we’re impressed. She’s making sure she looks good and looks like someone worth talking about. Keep this up and she could be the next celebrity “it” girl in the fashion world.

But….I can see her bra! *clutching my pearls*

    • MilaXX

Be happy. Miley or Riri would have left the bra home.

      • charlotte

True. Plus it’s a nice bra.

      • Meg0GayGuys6

        Or JUST worn the bra.

  • She is not fucking around.

    • Lucía Gavello

She’s all like “I dare you to compare me with Kristen ‘half ass’ Stewart motherfuckers, I DARE YOU”

  • Kathy_Marlow

First look is scroll down BAM!! Second look totally different, but just as great. Love her.

  • Diego!

WERQ x 2!!! She is rocking the sh*t out of these two outfits! Love the boots AND the shoes! You go Snowwhite! 😛

    • aeb1986

total WERQ on the first outfit! Her hair and makeup is perfection, she looks absolutely stunning. And those eyebrows…so jealous

      • Diego!

It’s so refreshing to see someone keeping their original size of eyebrows. Girl looks fantastic! 😉

  • MilaXX

Love the first look. The second look is disappointing. I supposed she didn’t want to wear black shorts again, but the skirt somehow makes it look like, well mall clothes, and the shoes don’t work with it.

    • mshesterp

I love the last shot of her sitting down in the first outfit. The head tilt, the knee high boots, the dark nail polish, just the whole thing. Superb. I got the “Honey, you’re a MODEL!” vibe from it–everything is working for me.

The last outfit is disappointing. Those shoes are atrocious and stumpify her legs. The model’s styling is way cuter.

…but I’m ok with just ogling the first look. Perfection.

      • fursa_saida

That first one is pure evil queen postapocalyptic perfection and I want it. I’m pleasantly surprised by the contrast in reds between lipstick and top.

    • Louise Bryan

I agree that the second outfit is kind of boring, probably better if she paired the top with a good black skirt, but those shoes are pretty special. No way with pants.

  • In_Stitches

double BAM! I love that she wore a fairly straight across bra, continuing the geometric theme. It’s some Harlequin realness in the best way. Love the second look as well. It masquerades as a dress well enough that the fact that she’s wearing a matching top and bottom doesn’t bug. And, as always, love the brows. They’re her signature and what a powerful one they are.

    • Rhonda Shore

Until i read the remarks i thought the second look WAS a dress. Absolutely love the first outfit, everything about it and her; second less so but it’s not really bad in any particular way, she just raised the bar so high…

  • Bringing it, indeed! I unreservedly love the first outfit. If the other had been for a premiere moment in Japan, I would have loved the classic Eastern art reference. As it is, it’s simply too much of the same thing.

  • Daenyx

Jamie, dress the hell up; I want pictures of you too. >.>

  • gabbilevy

    Fan-fucking-tastic. X2. Brava, Lily.

  • flamingoNW

She looks absolutely ridiculous in the first one. Terrible. The second one is great, fierce shoes!

  • boldprint

she’s just so darn adorable. VERY envious of those brows.

    • SuzBald

And alabaster skin that sets them off.

      • boldprint

        so true! lucky gal.

      • kimmeister

Her legs, in that last shot, literally look like porcelain.

  • Heather

Wow. I just can’t get behind those boots… too Pretty Woman for my taste. Sorry!

  • Bexxx

    (gently sobbing with eyebrow envy)

  • JLH

I just feel like I need to place a hand in the air at how fierce she looks in the shot where’s she’s sitting down and her head is slightly titled. Werq. It. Out.

  • Tess Danesi

She looks like two different and beautiful people. Killer boots and shoes. Absolutely killer.

I do want to know if this “mall tour” thing is new of if I’m just so out of it that it has eluded me. Poor stars, having to schlep to malls that even I try to avoid unless totally necessary.

  • crash1212

Well done – both looks. The shoes in the second look are giving me life – and I don’t think I’ve ever seen anybody pull off thigh-high boots in such a ladylike manner…that first look is slammin’ but in the most refined way.

  • RebeccaKW

    She’s looking good.

However, what is with that dipstick next to her in outfit 1? What is he wearing? He looks like he just walked out of a scene from an early 90’s British film about street youths. It’s not a bad outfit, and he is on a mall tour, but good grief. At least ask your fellow actors what they are wearing. If I were Lily, I might have to ask that his chair be moved from mine. It’s like getting so excited for the prom, spending weeks looking for the perfect dress, getting your hair done that morning, and then your date shows up in a tuxedo tshirt and dirty Chucks.

  • Imasewsure

I love this girl… don’t love the Brunhilda hair in the first screenshots but I know this is a popular look so I can live with it. She is definitely on my celeb “It Girl” list

  • Jessica Freeman

I quite hate the first look, full stop. It’s entirely to harsh, especially her make up. I love the second look, she looks much better in softer coloring.

  • We just got told. Well done, Lily.

  • Coleen

I wish you had been able to go to her Philly mall tour (KOP, I assume) so that you could have scoped her out in person. (And told her to get her beau’s hair washed.)

  • etselec

Wow. Can I be her? Just for a day, I won’t be selfish or anything.

  • RuthGo

I cannot even relay how much I hate that first outfit: hooker boots with shorts and a see-through shirt? I’m sorry there’s nothing worthwhile there.

I like the second outfit well enough and the shoes are killa.

  • conniemd

While it may be August it’s not been real hot here in Pennsylvania this past week and was raining yesterday or the day before.

  • mlle

First outfit: contemporary take on evil queen.
Second outfit: needs different shoes. I don’t mind the matchy top and skirt.

The movie she’s poledancing for looks TERRIBLE, though.

    • JLH

I got the first book for my birthday I think either 5 or 6 years ago, and it’s an okay read. It was one of those that I didn’t really have a burning passion to seek out the sequels and then I saw a trailer for the movie and was like, …Oh!” It’s not not anywhere close to the Twilight abominations though.

      • mlle

I haven’t read them, though I remember reading fanfiction by their author about 10 years ago.

  • snarkykitten

yeah no. That first look is only good if you’re going for casual Friday at the Joker’s place

  • JauntyJohn

Oh yes… this girl’s got game.

  • sagecreek

She looks comfortable in thigh-high boots. COMFORTABLE.

    I’m impressed.

  • pookiesmom

I’m getting major Rooney Mara vibes from her in the first picture. When she’s standing in the second outfit, the shoes make her look eerily like she’s hovering above the ground. Hover heels. Designers, get on this!

She looks great in both outfits, though. I haven’t a clue what she’s been in, but she seems to give good publicity.

  • formerlyAnon

First look awesome, second decent. I like her cute every-girl hair & makeup in the 2nd look though.

Jamie Campbell Bower (the blonde child who’s apparently actually mid-20s) looks very like at least 2 of my high school crushes. So as under dressed as he looks, if he’s supposed to appeal to 15-year-olds, he may be dressed just fine.

  • I saw a pic of this last night, and my first thought was “That is SO going to be on TLO tomorrow.”

  • MannahattaMamma

Her legs in that second series look like they’re carved out of alabaster. Amazing. And the shoes are…extraordinary, really, is the only word.

  • ankali

Hate the first look (everything that was bad about the 90s), don’t much care for the 2nd (can’t believe I’m saying this about a patterned ensemble, but it’s drab to me). The Casadei shoes look pretty gorgeous from the side view, though.

  • Contralto

    She is strikingly beautiful.

  • LauraAgain

Sexy to cute to sexy. Ah, to be young again!

  • giddypony

Perfect for the role she is promoting too.

  • Pterodactyl111

WOW. That is how you wear thigh highs and still look classy. Brava!!
