Liam Hemsworth in Hugo Boss at the “Paranoia” LA Premiere

Posted on August 09, 2013

BAM. Now that is a SUIT, people. We’re consumed with jealousy at the moment.

Liam Hemsworth attends the premiere of “Paranoia” in Los Angeles, Califonia in head-to-toe BOSS by Hugo Boss.

BOSS by Hugo Boss ‘Howell/Glare’ Suit

We console ourselves with the fact that we would properly hem our pants and not wear it with a black shirt, if we owned this suit, unlike rich, young, good-looking, extremely well-groomed Liam, who probably got it for free.

Wait. We’re not feeling consoled by that at all.

None for me, thanks. Too shiny and not wild about the contents either. Does nothing for me.

    • MilaXX

      not my cuppa either

    • jmorino08

      I’m right there with ya.

  • This looks like a suit Bruce Wayne would own — I don’t know why this reminds me of Batman so much, but it does. (Thankfully I got distracted by Liam’s piercing blue eyes and felt overcome with jealousy; time to buy myself a lady-suit!)

    • Shawn EH

Maybe because Christian Bale wore a very similar look when he won his Oscar?

    • Bill Craven

Maybe because the contrasting peaks on the lapels look like bat wings? I dunno about this; a little too 1980s prom for my taste.

      • Yes, exactly! Lapels was the word I was looking for.

It also looks like an inverted version of Heidi Klum’s blazer from the America’s Got Talent whiteboard post a few days ago.

  • Trisha26

    Shave and it’s a winner.

    • DilettanteDeconstructed

Word. I feel like he’s too pretty to be wearing all that facial hair.

  • marlie

    It’s all “meh” to me.

  • gabbilevy

Amazing how slovenly the hands in the pockets makes this look, because it’s otherwise a sharp, well-fitted suit on a well-groomed guy.

  • Diego!

It’s on the shiny side but it’s perfect! I love it! He should shave tough!

  • GillianHolroyd

I’m sure he is a lovely person but… he reminds me of an overgrown puppy.

Maybe when he gets a few more years under his belt.

  • Heather

Question: do they get to keep the free clothes, or do they have to give them back afterwards?

    • demidaemon

      Depends, I think.

  • Krysta

That facial hair is noooooot his friend.

  • alyce1213

Good suit, but the waist doesn’t fit. He’s got crotch puddle.

    • TAGinMO

Liked because “Crotch Puddle” would be a great name for a band.

      • DilettanteDeconstructed

Would “Crotch Pool” then be the more metal iteration of the band?

  • neonseattle

what color shirt would you wear this with (actually interested)?

    • mlle

I would have gone for a very pale blue or green because it would bring out his eyes (and because, as a blue eyed person, I default to blues and greens).

  • TAGinMO

In the immortal words of Carter Pewterschmidt’s maid: “MmmmmNO.”

Even on the model, perfectly fitted, those lapels are tacky. Add in the flashbulb reflection and it’s all just too much. I don’t even think a non-black shirt could save it.

  • giddypony

Hate the lapels with the heat of a thousand red hot suns.

  • formerlyAnon

Nice suit, and your comments started me thinking about how many men I know I’d really like to see in this suit (altered to fit, natch). And dwelling, inappropriately in most cases, on how very, very, *exceptionally* good some would look in it. And it really accentuated my basic feeling of “Pffft. Liam Hemsworth. Not that big a deal.”

Also: I’d put a very pale pastel shirt with this for summer. Just a tinge of color in white. Tie in a richer shade of the same.

  • Shawn EH

I’m more into the other brother.

  • Jeremiah Capacillo

Is it just me or does he sort of look like Jesus??

    • Contralto

Kinda, except His eyes are brown.

  • decormaven

Please pose properly – with the hands out of the pockets – when you’re on the RC. It detracts from the look, and deducts points from your Style IQ.

  • kittenwithaquip

Neckbeard + unibrow = well groomed? Yeesh. Kitten no likey.

    • Kristin McNamara

My thinking exactly. Glad I wasn’t the only one not seeing “extremely well groomed” .

  • SaraQ

I don’t think it needs to be hemmed, I think he needs to pull his pants up.

  • I mean, it’s alright. He’s looking a little Vegas Strip Club Floor Manager to me though. Nothing *wrong* but not melting my knees the way a tall, blue eyed, Aussie should. I think maybe the Miley stench is starting to overwhelm him. Like Axe body spray.

    • demidaemon

Sometimes, it’s all you can afford. What that refers to in your comment is up to you.

  • acevedob

As I scrolled down, the only thing I could think was: “If TLo say something about his beard, I’m going to tell them something.” But you didn’t. Still love you guys.

  • Loving the shoes.

  • Anne At Large

Not bad, lesser Hemsworth, but that facial hair is not impressive. Go take notes from YOUR BROTHER THE GOD.

  • ashtangajunkie

    I do love a Hemsworth.

  • kim bunchalastnames

i’m not mad at the hem he’s got, or the black shirt either. daYAM.

  • korilian

Meh, can’t compete with his big bro…

  • FrigidDiva

He’s ok, but I always think of him as Hemsworth Lite in comparison to his older brother.

  • Imasewsure

Funny that I love the suit but not the head… maybe it’s the angle…

  • whirligig7

    Ruined by neck beard.

  • Clueless_Jock

He looks so much better than the model.

  • crash1212

Wow. I don’t like anything about this look. Not one thing…well maybe his blue eyes and his hair is nicely done. Other than those two things….not appealing in the least to my eye. Don’t like the color of the suit, the fabric seems way too shiny and the darker lapels just seem silly.

  • bertkeeter

HATE black shirts and ties on ANYONE! Mob looks just don’t cut it…

    • demidaemon

I think the mob dresses better than this (and with more variety) these days.

    • Getoverit

Black shirts & ties remind me of school dances in the 90’s.

  • guest2visits

This is the first thing I’ve seen on him that I don’t like. I don’t like the satiny fabric for him, or the way he’s slouching in this tux-like jacket. Or the matching black shirt and tie. Sorry Liam, you have to carry the burden of your good looks without any help here.

  • quiltrx

He looks incredibly ordinary with facial hair. Clean-shaven, please.

  • BuffaloBarbara

You can console yourselves that you wouldn’t have your hands in your pockets, I guess.

But he does look pretty sharp.

  • Tippi123

Why is this not a tuxedo? It has got shiny lapels that are also peaked.
