      Ditch the belt. Otherwise, excellent!

    • Karen Belgrad

      She needs sunblock… and support.

      • Deedles

Agreed. All I see is sun damage and that’s sad.

    • skitzfiggitous

Did anyone else start singing “Goldfinger” when they saw these pictures? Why does her makeup cause her to look so… gilded?

    • Lauren Schneider

that bronzer in that lighting is doing her NO FAVORS.

    • random_poster

Something about her hair…it’s so soft looking. Very pretty. I don’t like the dress much, but Heidi is doing it justice. The belt is a bad choice.

      • marlie

Her hair looks better than it has in a long time!

        • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Which is not a great compliment for a woman who endorses a hair product line. ; )

    • Jessica Freeman

Why does the print not go around the back?! The belt is a huge no, as are the granny sandals.

      • Miss_Led

I hate when it cuts off like that – it makes the dress look apron-y, or that they ran out of print fabric…

        • Jessica Freeman

And its an expensive dress. I can understand a lower end Forever 21-esque, but Michael Kors. No.

      • Getoverit

The models skinny black belt was much better played. And I would rather see a yellow or grey shoe, not the granny black sandal.

    • decormaven

So close! I could upvote the look if the original belt had been employed. The chosen belt is too busy against the fabric pattern.

      • Constant Reader

I hate the belt, but then I have an unreasonable hatred for accessories with bows on them.

    • Darcy H

Why would you pair that belt with that dress? I’m genuinely confused here.

    • Heather

      UGH to the claws.

    • eowyn_of_rohan

That’s downright matronly for Frau Heidi. Lose the belt, otherwise it’s pretty nice.

I don’t know if it’s the construction of the dress or just the fit on her, but the bust and midriff are sagging and buckling. The belt is wrong. At least it’s not too short, tight or shiny. I like her hair parted on the side, but she still needs a haircut.
I’d be happy if tanning/bronzing became pass√©, but I don’t think that’ll ever happen. I just wish people would be the color they are.

      • MoHub

Yes. I thought it was riding low as well.

      • Domo_Konnichiwa

        We’re the oompa lumpa generation.

      • barbarienne

The dress is also a bit low on the model, so I think it may just be that the dress wasn’t designed with good support. If the dress itself won’t stay up, it won’t hold anything else up either!

Right with you on the tanning. But it could become passe again someday. Once upon a time super-duper-pale was fashionable, and women poisoned themselves with lead-based makeup to get whiter than an albino. Humans are weird!

      • KayEmWhy

She’s always has a saggy bust because she needs better foundation.

      • IMNAngryLiberal

I kind of think that IS the color Heidi is — she is a no-top no-tan lines kind of sun worshipper.

    • wontons

Not her color…or rather it doesn’t go with the color of her skin. And there’s something odd about the proportions–bust too low? But she still looks graceful. I love the hair and the subdued makeup.

    • aeb1986

No to the spray tan. And no to the belt. Otherwise, love.

    • Lily

I think she looks really nice, if a bit too bronze for the lighting that’s happening here. For once, she’s wearing something that fits well and doesn’t make her look like she’s trying too hard.

    • MilaXX

She should have worn a belt similar to the models. The one she is wearing clashes horribly. At least she realizes she can’t flash her va-jay-jay to the ADT audience.

    • chowwander

“Hi. I’m Heidi Klum, and I wish I lived in 1983.”

    • marlie

It’s fine. It’s tight, but not too short, and not too boobalicious. I wish she’d gone with the belt that the model had on, though. ANd I love her with the slightly toned down hair and makeup.

    • formerlyAnon

Nice. She’s looked far worse, frequently. Quibbles: I question the belt. I wish the bodice came up an inch or two higher, but I feel the same about where it sits on the model, so it’s intentional? The crumply folds of fabric underneath her bust also makes me feel like she should hoist the cups up, and yet the side view shows no dire need.

    • SewingSiren

Having the print only on the front looks cheap to me.

    • Sonja

Hate the shoes, and the belt, and the jewelry. It looks like MK was going for a sexy Betty Draper look, and the Klumster took the dress straight to Real Housewives.

    • appliquer

I like the back view! The belt is all kinds of wrong with the dress, and the bodice needs to be hiked up a bit.

    • Denise Alden

I know she’s awfully suntanned, but at least she’s not sand-blasted, right?

    • bertkeeter

Heidi looks very happy lately! Why this dress needs a belt at all is beyond me? MK needs to learn how to add some support in a strapless dress like this…I mean c’mon!

    • kirkyo

There’s nothing *that* wrong with this…I just think the dress is kind of ugly.

    • Eric Stott

Compared to her usual style this is almost Amish

    • cmb123

She looks really pretty here. The cut and shape are flattering and not to booby or tight or short. Her hair looks great and most of all, she looks happy to be there. A win for Miss Heidi.

    • jmorino08

It’s amazing that she didn’t alter it up to hoo-ha-land. She actually looks classy and put together, but the yellow in the dress and whatever is happening with her skin are doing no favors for each other.

    • bethlael

It’s too tight: that is part of what is causing the horizontal pull lines in the bodice, and also in the last pic notice how far forward the side seam is from where it should be.

Also this belt is not right. The busy belt pattern and buckle make the look pool party not lady who lunches…which would be fine…for an actual pool party.

The makeup doesn’t bother me because it’s probably just calibrated to make her look fresh and glowy in the dim stage-lighting of the show and looks less optimal under the bright flashbulbs of the red carpet. (Anyone else think it’s a bit hilarious that there IS a red carpet for “America’s Got Talent Season 8 Arrivals?”)

    • Qitkat

I don’t like the belt either, but does it bother anyone else that it is not exactly centered? No, I’m not OCD (really), why do you ask?

Sad to see her Seal tattoo being erased. I always liked them together, and it was one of the coolest tattoos ever. Maybe she will keep the stars for her/their children?

    • conniemd

The problem with the belt is that it is too big. That causes it to sag in the front instead of lying where it should. I like the dress, but the colors are not right for Ms. Klum. Nice to see a hemline just below the knee without a front slit on her.

    • http://www.dogsdotcom.blogspot.com/ Plink

Everything about this look is faded, used, washed out. Not one thing new here. Not one interesting element.

    • Sarah Caponigro

I hate half print dresses. Printed on the front plain on the back. They always look cheap and like they didn’t want to waste the fabric.

    • Peeve

Heidi, that is not your dress! It looks droopy, and the belt does her no favors. Also the print on the front alone just looks cheap.

    • Danielle West

I just want to yank up the dress.

    • http://piblet.tumblr.com/ Anastasia

this over-bronzed look ages her, which is a shame because overall this look is quite lovely. (i could do without the belt and claw-nails, but the tan comes first.)

    • MzzPants

Shoulda’ trusted the Duchess on that belt.

    • unbornfawn

Pretty good. Glad to see her going to a longer hem length once in a while. But our gal really needs to start wearing Victoria’s Secret in real life.

    • Diego!

She looks great, but that dress is ugly! Next!

    • Melanie

I really love her with long hair. I’m glad she’s grown it out/bought extensions.

    • AnaRoW

This makes me wonder: Are there no pictures of Nick Cannon on the RC for this show that we can analyze? I just started watching AGT and his wardrobe is incredible!

    • Tuneful54

Me no likey. That mustard color is not flattering on her (I’m surprised to say) and the tiny bodice wouldn’t work on anyone but the flat-chested, or a skinny 16-year old. OUT. She looks healthy and happy, though, and that’s good.

    • guest2visits

So far I like most of her PR wardrobe choices this season. This isn’t terrible but it looks a tiny bit low and jewelry heavy.

    • http://marshmallowjane.com/ marshmallowjane

I love this selection but the slim black belt would be better, and the bodice doesn’t fit properly at all. I like Heidi in this length of dress.
