I love this.
It’s simple and it screams end of Summer.
At least she didn’t join the Bootie Brigade! I’m starting to cringe scrolling down current looks, with the Stank Booties lurking about.
She looks like the seat of a Mercedes.
I actually was thinking more of a couch. Mercedes works, though.
I SCREAMED with laughter!
Do you remember when she questioned (rightly so) Jesus’ taste level in Project Runway? He made a brown leatherette dress that was the first thing I thought about when I saw this.
Well, it’s tight and sort of tacky, so it must be Heidi Klum. But I have to say, this looks heavy and depressing, totally lacking in spirit. The golden accessories only worsen the look. It’s all weirdly dreary for something so–uh–form-fitting.
I miss the old T&L comment system, when people couldn’t downvote you just for having a different opinion
Agreed. How about a reasonable discussion of the differences in opinion rather than down-voting someone? I happen to think she looks great, if only because I didn’t scroll down to find a slit rising up to her crotch, but I’m not going to down-vote your comment simply because I have a different opinion on her look.
I miss Gotham Tomato and Scotty.
I love that her face is that of a nearly 40 year old woman. That close up is magnificent. Screw the dress.
This is good! Tight & shiny but a bit more demure than usual, and she’s managed voluminous half-up hair without looking like Charo.
It’s tight, but not “painted on” tight. And it’s sexy, without her throwing her boobs and/or legs in our faces.
I like this, a lot…my very first impression from the thumbnail was to ask “Is Heidi doing the Country Music Awards now?”
I like this, a LOT. Simple dress with a great silhouette, an interesting color, and not too short or tight or shiny. My only quibble is that I wish she’d gone with shoes that made more of a statement, but the ones that she’s currently wearing are fine.
I have to say this is a sweet surprise coming from her. Chic, simple and elegant, and what’s best, NOT SLUTTY!!! You rock that leather dress Frau Heidi!
That fingernail polish is a GREAT COLOR. That’s probably not what I”m supposed to be noticing, but it really is.
Heidi has beautiful hands and feet. I notice this stuff, too.
You are not alone, it’s the first thing I noticed! With everything else being so monochromatic, that pop of wine looks fabulous.
I can’t see her cleavage or knees… Have I gone blind?
tee hee! You are ok!!
I loved her hair like this – the volume really softens her.
I don’t love the hair or the dress (which is too tight, but not way too tight), but this is good. She looks relaxed, happy, and not desperate to show the goods. And I LOVE that polish color and want it on my little piggies this instant.
You and me both, sister!
She looks like a couch.
From the Cindy Crawford Collection?
That was my first thought: She’s wearing my couch.
My dad’s office used to have this.
As understated as a leather tube dress can be. I really love this. And I rarely say that about Heidi’s outfits…
Look a tight dress on Heidi! Though not the “can’t breathe” tight we are used to. I don’t love the color but she looks good. I prefer her hair like this instead of up like she does so often on PR. Needs a darker shade of lipstick, IMO.
Wo sind die Titsen? Ohne Titsen kann sie nicht Heidi sein!
Note to whats-her-name in the strapless-peplum-floral dress a few posts back: This is how to dress like a couch from the 80s, and make it WORK.
You know? I give her all kinds of crap for trying too hard but when you see her in the second picture you know why she’s a supermodel. That FACE.
Finally, a mani pedi that is fresh and clean. And a color to die for!
“My nails looks perfect. *Flips hair*”
You know it’s Heidi when a skintight, strapless leather dress reads as demure.
I love it all. I’m a big hair fan, sorry. And the colors are colors are great on her. And yay for a pretty wine red polish!!
I always notice nail polish, it’s the first thing I thought when I saw this, that it was a beautiful color on her skin, and with the outfit. Makes me look forward to fall and pulling some of my darker shades of polish.
Carrie Bradshaw called from 2001 and wants her hair back.
Other than that, it’s practically demure for Heidi. Very nice fit on the dress.
I wore my hair like that in 1970.
this is rather understated for her…and IT LOOKS GOOD! less is more Heidi!
She’s a totally-gorgeous woman but like her personality I feel like there’s never any mystery in anything she wears. And I don’t just mean it’s always short or physically reveals too much. It always feels mentally transparent and the same. Anyone else think so?
Damn. She is a gorgeous bitch. This is my favorite look for her in a long time, and I think she looks incredible.
I think she looks great. I love the color of the nails with the brown dress. I like the gold accessories but am not digging the sandals. Gold in a different shoe.
I didn’t realize her eyes are hazel, not blue. Warm colors really compliment her usual tan. The half up hair looks like it’s in the middle of getting styled. Leaving it all down with the waves would have rounded out the beachiness of it all.
There you go, girl! Simple, clean-lined dress, still looks super-hot yet appropriate for a grown woman.
The hair is a little Olivia Newton-John, but I like it. It’s youthening without being childish.
PERFECT! Black dress with dark gold acessories! Hair n makeup WERQ!
It sure looks brown to me.
Oops… Ur right! Thats the trouble with this bright Ca Sunshine!
Thank God. I really wasn’t having a stroke.
It’s definitely brown.
I’m going to be the odd one out and say this isn’t doing it for me. Her makeup is aging her too much and she’s one of those who can NOT do this “nude makeup” look. The hair is okay though would be better pulled back. The earrings are cool but with that leather looks a little JLo esque…something smaller would’ve been my pick or none and a subtle necklace. I love her, I really do, but she’s gotta make peace with getting older.
She’s 40 years old, she’s had four kids, AND she can wear a dress as unforgiving as that one. Wow.
She should wear her hair like that more often. It looks really good on her. Far less harsh than a lot of her hairstyles.
Well, she certainly tried to match her tan to her dress. Nearly got it right too. Doesn’t matter, she’s gorgeous, she’s Heidi, and she’s gonna work her assets until she’s 90 years old. Good on ya, dear.
Gorgeous. Best she’s looked in a very long time.
If the goal was to look like a sexy couch, I guess she did it…
I’m not sure…I can’t reconcile ‘car interior dress’ with ‘just got done swimming’ hair.
Unflattering Tootsie Roll dress.
She looks like my club chair.
Working the big brown eyes in a way you hardly ever see from her. Pretty and very autumnal.
Her hair looks amazing.
It’s not *terrible…* It’s tight, yes, but it’s not short or shiny. And despite being leather, it’s very simple (well, for her, anyway), and her boobs aren’t hanging out. I can let this one pass.
That is some seriously junior high hair.
