  • That first pic, the shadow was giving him a biker beard and I was so confused. There’s nothing to say about the outfit, but the body wearing it looks awfully nice.

    • Adriana_Paula

Agreed. I thought he was rocking a relief pitcher stache. Which frankly would have been awesome.

      • Addicted2Glamour

“Relief Pitcher Stache” has officially entered my lexicon. Props.

  • Jamie M.

That’s right, sweetheart. Come run home to mama.

  • kimmeister

His natural lip color is enviable.

    • marlie

He’s going to have to come over here so I can get a better look at those lips. And biceps. And pecs…

  • d4divine

    Turn that frown upside down

  • Adriana

The cap shadow plus facial hair is giving him a mega frown!

  • Nikko Viquiera

It must be a taco emergency!!

  • Leah Elzinga

why are Chris Evans’ boobs nicer/bigger than mine? That does NOT seem fair.

    • kimmeister

My husband has bigger boobs and skinnier legs than me. The injustice!

  • formerlyAnon

I am so unfairly prejudiced against men with athletic builds and beautifully fit and worked-out bodies, especially wearing athletic wear. I am reminded of every boring jock I ever knew in college, many of whom were absolute sweet hearts, some very smart, just entirely consumed with training schedules and sports statistics and injury rehabbing and league standings and so on.

    • fursa_saida

The thing about Chris Evans is he totally is that fratty bro, and yet on him it doesn’t bother me? I think it helps that he’s spoken very openly and sensitively about his struggles with anxiety, which is something I can relate to; also, probably, that I’m nostalgic for Boston, bros and all.

      • formerlyAnon

Good for him. In my experience, most (not all) of the fratty bros are likable taken one-on-one, it’s just in herds that the lowest common denominator seems to dominate.

[Boston, huh? One of the smartest men I knew in my 20s, who came off as a brainless, muscle bound sex hound (well, the sex hound part was pretty accurate) was from Braintree. People who weren’t in classes with him or didn’t work directly with him took ages to realize he somehow had a top flight degree and a very successful engineering design career.]

        • fursa_saida

Yeah, I grew up in Boston and anytime his accent comes out he shoots up like a thousand points with me. His uncle is actually my representative in Congress–or will be again when I move back–and there was a video going around of him introducing the guy at a rally. And a) he was SO OBVIOUSLY NERVOUS, and b) the accent was in full effect, and I just melted. It was too adorable.

Also he seems to be embarrassingly close to his mother. (I swear I do not do research on Chris Evans all the livelong day, but I spend a lot of time on tumblr and people will make gifs out of anything.)

          • formerlyAnon

Yeah, “close to his mother” is always good for bonus points.

Also, NO one who comments on a site like this as often as I do can judge anybody for knowing something about complete strangers who happen to be in the public eye. It is embarrassing, sometimes, what bits of info I know about a celeb whose work I have never seen.

          • fursa_saida

Then I am free to tell you that I can picture with perfect clarity the gif in which Chris Evans on some morning talk show informed the audience that after he lost his virginity he basically ran home and told his mother, “Ma! I had sex!”

          • formerlyAnon

After laughing, I realized that my reaction to this tidbit is somewhat dependent upon what age he was when that conversation took place . . . (also, I wonder exactly how his Mom remembers that incident.)

          • fursa_saida

I don’t know, but my vague impression was that it was some point in high school, probably 17 or so? Some age where it’s pretty normal for that to happen and not ~troubling~ even though it’s below the legal age of consent. (Although in MA, if you and your partner are both 16 or older and less than 18, it’s not statutory rape. I know this because of reasons.)

          • I think it was The View!

      • quiltrx

I’m the same way–he’s my fratty douche exception to the rule. I think his smile paralyzes my brain or something. I prefer him clean-shaven, but he’s yummy. And like you, I like that he seems pretty up-front about himself.

        • fursa_saida

Oh, I like it when he has a beard. Not stubble, an actual beard. I’d find you a picture but links, moderation, etc.

      • Nondescript

Y’know, he actually doesn’t strike me as particularly bro-y or fratty. He’s very mainstream, and he’s got the jock look, but every time I’ve seen him answer questions about sensitive subjects, he’s always seemed pretty thoughtful and kind of sweet.

        • fursa_saida

Watch him play beer pong with Jimmy Fallon and you will see bro-ification. And I don’t think you have to be a dick to be a bro; you can be a nice nerd or a nasty nerd, a sweet jock or a jock on a power trip. It’s a behavior/presentation type, not a personality. Like 70% of my best guy friends in college were in a frat and they were very smart dudes who I trusted with my safety. I agree that he seems like a thoughtful and sweet guy. I also think that whether he acts/comes off as broriffic depends on the situation, which of course is how it works for everyone in terms of how we choose to present ourselves.

    • conniemd

Yeah, but most of the boring jocks don’t sport beards. He manages to avoid the boring jock boy look. I do know what you mean though, though my experience is most in college were egotistical assholes, not very smart and sexist pigs.

      • formerlyAnon

Well, “many” and “some” were chosen to accentuate the positive . . . 😉

    • Bananadrama

He’s obligated to build up muscle and lose body fat for the ab definition to play Captain America in a spandex suit. He’s not normally outrageously ripped.

  • mishka

I want to give him the biggest hug ever

    • Kristin McNamara

      • Nondescript

Because he looks so grumpy! 🙂

        • Kristin McNamara

Well sure. But why stop at a hug, was more my point.

          • fursa_saida

There are so many ways to turn that frown upside down.

          • Nondescript

            Heh. Fair enough.

  • Sobaika

I never like them this clean cut but… Aye aye, Captain.

  • Monzerrat Ontiveros

i want to be that shirt….

    • Shawn EH

      I’ll be the sweatpants!

      • Monzerrat Ontiveros

        • clairellis

I want him to be naked.

          • Monzerrat Ontiveros

            that’s smarter…

          • clairellis

            I try 🙂

  • woof

    • EdithP

      Exactly my thoughts.

  • Fordzo

He looks so grumpy. He’s reminding me of that elusive Bigfoot video.

…and THAT is why God and TLo invented “Sausage Fridays”

  • stephbellard

I would climb him like a tree and ride him like a horse.

  • flamingoNW

I wonder how much HIS t shirt costs?

  • lizajane1776

    No neck beard, yay!

  • MilaXX

Did he suddenly decide to give the paps something interesting to look at by running?

  • Imasewsure

The most important part of this is the fact that I need to check out “Hugo’s Tacos in Studio City” next time I am in LA.. Not for Chris Evans but for celeb-worthy tacos!!

  • Zorkness

I like everything but the frown. He must have a bad case of the munchies.

  • Nondescript

Chris. Facial hair is not for you. Running, however, is very much for you.

  • Louise Bryan

Tacos have never looked quite so delicious.

  • HobbitGirl

    Oh, honey.

  • Catiline

I want to go to Spain…

  • valerie saenz

    Hugo’s Tacos are delicious.

  • Cordelia_Gray

I love Chris as Captain America, but frowny Chris reminds me of Beaker from the Muppets.

  • macwell

I don’t know if it was the angle or what, but…….dude has the smallest feet (in bulky sneakers no less!) that I have seen on guy in a while…..IJS…

  • Stacy Feng

How dare Captain America wear another country’s T-shirt?
