Chris Colfer in New York City

Posted on August 06, 2013

Chris seems to be putting just a skosh more work into his looks lately; even his street looks. We’re loving both of these hipster-lite summer getups. They’re not hard to wear, fashion-forward, or all that much outside his wheelhouse, but at least he looks coordinated and each outfit looks thought-out. That’s an improvement with him.

Those are some seriously skinny jeans.

      Them first paira shooz. GIMME!

      • Lucía Gavello

When his hair finally reaches the stars, those shoes are going to be all that is left.

        • H2olovngrl

That is some seriously high hair!

        • RebeccaKW

          That’s Big Boy hair.

          • filmcricket

And when it gets too long it becomes Astro Boy hair.

            • RebeccaKW

And eventually will look like Slim Jim (the character with Slim Jim’s for hair)

            • YoungSally

I was thinking Bob’s Big Boy.

      • decormaven

        They are fine, yes?

      • largishbearishAtlish

Dang, thought I was the only one! Do they come in a size 16?? please?? yum.

        • Kiltdntiltd

As long as we don’t wear them at the same time, we’re good!

      • Turtle_Island

The shoes are by Aldo, the Omura Saddle Shoes.

        • Kiltdntiltd

          Thanks!!!! Zappo’s here I come.

    • MilaXX

He’s finally moved on from his black jeans & vest. He looks cute!

    • Karen Belgrad

Awww… it looks like he and Kevin McHale went shopping together! I like!

      • Reality.Bites

Kevin McHale wouldn’t even let himself be BURIED in anything that conservative, let alone be seen in the street!

    • Tanya Wade

Look out Elijah Wood! A new skinny jeans king has come to town. One pair, to rule them all….

      • Emily Smith

LOTR story time! So in the two towers, if you watch the movie while drunk or super tired, when Faramir finds Frodo and Sam and tells his men to “bind their hands” it totally sounds like “bind their nads”. And that’s what these jeans are doing and now we’ve come full circle. /End story.

    • Julie Parr

      Please footnote the shoes!

    • annabelle archer

He’s just so spiffy and snug.

    • Laurie Landry

I’m left wishing there were a behind photo.

    • prismamars

      That’s a really adorable outfit!

    • filmcricket

It’s funny, for all of the tie and the super done hair and the painted on jeans, he looks a bit like he’s coming apart at the seams in the 2nd set of shots: undone shoe-lace, belt that doesn’t quite tuck in to the loops…

He looks good in both, though. His early 20s have been kinder to him than anyone else I can think of, and he’s been spiffing it up on this book tour.

    • AmeliaEve

And he is carrying his bag appropriately, label forward!

    • Tchaz9

While I don’t think these are strictly street looks (the first outfit was for a huffpost live interview, the second for GMA) so I think they were probably styled, I am really enjoying what he is wearing of late. Boy looks good! Whether that be due to better styling or his own preferences, I’m not complaining. Particularly like the shoes.

    • Jessica Freeman

He is just the cutest thing to me. I want to pinch his cute little cheeks.

    • nannypoo

I don’t like the super-tall hair. Otherwise cute.

      • Eric Stott

The hair isn’t so bad, but he seems locked into the look.

      • georgeyray

Let’s not forget that he is also an actor on a popular TV show. Sometimes he has to keep his hair at a certain length to maintain continuity. I don’t know if the sky-high hair is a Chris preference or a Kurt preference, so I rarely consider his hair in terms of his overall style.

    • Turtle_Island

      He’s such a cutie.

    • sparkleburnout

I adore the shirt in the first look, and somehow he is making the big hair work. Well done sir.

    • Jaeda Laurez

It’s all very well put together and fits amazingly.

    • mjude

adorable. i love his tribeca bag!

    • Shawn EH

My glasses are Ted Baker. That shirt would look good on anyone.

    • homespunner

      Johnny Suede

    • Imasewsure

It’s a tad bit “boy band” for me but I love the pulled together but casual style especially since it keeps the focus on his pompadour and shades! Love it

    • majorbedhead

Honey, your shoe is untied there. Tie it up before you trip and scrape up that adorable face of yours.

Am I the only one who wants to put him in my pocket and take him home with me? He’s so cute and fresh-faced and seems like he’d be fun to talk to.

    • marlie

      Awww, he looks great!

    • Jennifer Peters-Ahnberg

I need to find shoes like that for my husband.

      • largishbearishAtlish

I need to find shoes like that AND a husband (le sigh)

    • NYCGlamourpuss

Very cute! LOVE both looks (although he missed tying a shoelace in that second set). He’s completely adorable and stylish – hard to do both.

    • MzzPants

I want to put him my pocket and take him everywhere. Cute as a freakin’ button!

    • formerlyAnon

      Really like the shirt/tie combo.

    • fairi5fair

      He’s cute. Love the pompadour.

    •!/Space_Kitty Space Kitty

They’re nearly jeggings, and bless him for it.

    • Lanx

Aww I really never thought he’d grow into his face at all, he was so unfortunate looking. Maturity has been very good for him.

    • georgeyray

I want those shoes! Hell, I want those jeans. They may be extra skinny but boy has been working out and it shows! I like that he has been branching out a little color-wise, even if he is still very conservative in terms of his color palette. That red shirt looks great on him!
