Ashton Kutcher in Rag & Bone at the “Jobs” NY Premiere

Posted on August 09, 2013

We hate ourselves a little right now.

Ashton Kutcher attends the “Jobs” New York Premiere at MOMA in New York City in Rag & Bone.

Rag & Bone Spring 2014 Collection

Because we ADORE Rag & Bone and love the way this looks on him, even though we know we should be yelling at him for wearing a t-shirt and scuffed boots. The fact is, he looks really good and really stylish, even if he looks a little under-dressed. Yes, the boots are kind of annoying and the boyband hair is … something (to be honest, we think it suits him – oh god, we hate ourselves), but we the suit is gorgeous and we love the orange belt and even though the artfully half-tucked shirt is douchus magnificus, we can’t help but think of this look as a win. It looks good on him and it’s got great late-summer style. The polka dot hankie is a nice touch.

But the way his shirt is peeking out from under the belt is making our eyelids twitch like you would not believe.

    • Caitlin O’Brien

      he’s hot

    • Sara Leigh Merrey

He does look good. But I’m an Ashton hater. Can’t stand him. Can’t believe him as Steve Jobs either. Arg.

      • Nicole C

Have you seen the preview??? I was waiting to be surprised by his incredible acting skills, but my husband and I laughed from beginning to end.

        • amber.

the only thing Steve Job-ish about him is his face. Looking to Ashton Kutcher for acting skills is like looking to Ashton Kutcher for acting skills: futile.

          • d4divine

“Job-ish” no offense, but Jobs was not a handsome man…dynamic in his own way, yes, but male modelish like Kutcher…that is a HARD sell.

            • Supernumerary

I’m in the ‘ugh, Kutcher’ camp re: his being cast as Jobs, but would point out that when young, Jobs was *ridiculously* handsome. Age whittled him down and sharpened him, as did illness, but during those young years Jobs was one of the prettiest of the nerdy princesses.

          • lilyvonschtupp

No matter what he plays, he’s still Kelso. I laughed my ass off at the previews.

But I like the suit, even the boots. A few years ago, Ashton would have been modeling this on some runway.

        • Sara Leigh Merrey

Yes! I saw it and was going to attend a free preview (with director and other actor for Q&A) but changed my mind at the last minute for various reasons. I was interested in seeing whether the movie was salvageable despite his acting and what type of questions would be asked afterwards. The main deterrent was the anticipated high cost of parking, making the free movie not so free.

    • jonnyf8

I don’t much care for him, but you can’t deny that this is close to perfection. I kind of gasped. I didn’t know he could look this good and this isn’t an editorial this is red carpet. Amazing.

    • annabelle archer

Flog yourselves, immediately. Meh, I kid. I know he’s the rumored King of the Douches, but I love Mila K and if she’s willing to see more in him, so am I.

      • Lori

I get that and yet it totally doesn’t work for me. I have had far too many very lovely friends who thought they saw something more in a Douche King. They were wrong and I’m pretty sure Mila is too.

        • annabelle archer

          You’re probably so very correct.

        • d4divine

I don’t know him personally, some of you may have some insider info, but I like Mila…I think she is smart, funny, and a cool a$$ chick. I gotta go with HER judgement on this one. Say what you will about Kutcher, but the kid is smart, he’s made a substantial fortune in tech investments and camera company contracts. Props from me.

      • formerlyAnon

Miss Mila first knew him back when he was young enough to forgive much and she was young enough not to know better. So while I don’t know enough about him to judge, her opinion is in no way to be relied upon. The depth of fondness I still feel for my first semi-serious boyfriend is beyond rationality.

        • annabelle archer

In the ill advised interest of way “T” M I; I met my husband when we were teens, and while we had a close friendship, we didn’t get together until years later in our mid twenties. There is something truly entangling about a relationship that has ties during those years. It can make perspective for the here and now a bitch.

      • drdarke

Mila Kunis – and him …? I would have figured I was more Her Kind of Guy than Ashton Kutcher – Hell, I would have figured my wife was more Her Kind of Guy!! He’s like a whinily-entitled ManChild – I’d think he’d break the moment she started to play with him.

Not a fan of his, as you can tell – really like her, though. Mila, You Can Do Better….

    • DilettanteDeconstructed

I like it. At least he’s not wearing a trucker hat.

      • gabbilevy

And then again, he’s at the premiere for his movie in which he plays the king of black-turtleneck-and-jeans-and-trainers. So… this is dressed up?

        • GSMSF

I guess he just doesn’t really care how he looks. Oh wait, actually his whole being is dependent on others appreciating how he looks, so I guess the casual thing is completely fake. And annoying.

    • Rand Ortega

      No. Just…no.

    • oatmealpie

      Yes, but that chiseled jaw…

    • Folk Devil

Gawd, he looks hot. I am almost capable of ignoring the fact that he is Ashton Kutcher. Must be the last-minute thesis writing haze I’m in … or a small aneurism.

    • Colleen Byrne

TLo, don’t you think that it’s the the trousers’ fault that the shirt shows? Looks to me like the rise isn’t quite right. He’s cinched the belt where he normally does and the trousers don’t come up that high. Or maybe I’m mesmerized by that whole vortex of trousers/belt/shirt and I’m overthinking it.

      • Isabel

First thought: he missed a belt loop.

    • NoveltyRocker

The fit on everything is great and all of the little mussed up this and that really suits him.

    • CommentsByKatie

I thought this was Charlie Sheen at first. That can’t be good.

      • d4divine

You may need glasses. Charlie Sheen has NEVER even come close to looking this good.

    • Trisha26

What is it with the half-tucked shirt style? Is it like women who don’t get their roots done on purpose, to feign being busy or not having the money? Lazy. Casual. Suggestion of a quickie? He looks cute though!

    • bellafigura1

The hair + the scuffs kill it a little bit for me. He should definitely done better with the shoes.

    • hughman

    • Ron Zank

      Same twitch!

    • appliquer

      What a cutie!

    • Beth513

I wish we could tell him to Willis it the Fuck Up, because.. LEVELS.

And really, he could have Willised it the Fuck Up with the shirt and shoes.

      • lilyvonschtupp

“Willis”? What is that? You want him to look more like Todd Bridges?

    • formerlyAnon

That shirt thing IS awful. And he DOES look great. It helps that he’s unfairly good looking. (Unfairly because while I have absolutely ZERO factual knowledge upon which to base an opinion, I find the rumors that he’s not the greatest guy entirely believable.)

    • MilaXX

Irrational celebrity hate! The douche is too strong in this one fore me.

      • OrigamiRose

There is *nothing* irrational about hating this guy, I assure you :)

    • clairellis

He’s so pretty. And he looks nice. I do him.

    • Fordzo

      Again with calling people douches.

I know that he’s one of those guys that people love to hate, but his work with THORN will forever earn him a pass from me.

      • MissMariRose

        What is THORN?

        • Fordzo

I forgot that I can’t post links. From their website (we are thorn dot org)

“We aim to disrupt and deflate the predatory behavior of those who abuse and traffic children, solicit sex with children or create and share child pornography.

As these crimes are increasingly facilitated by technology, we invest in and deploy the latest technology as part of our ongoing fight to end child sexual exploitation.”

    • flamingoNW

Well, I feel ya. The t-shirt peaking out really bugs, as does the pant cuff tucked behind the shoe tongue. But it is a good look.

    •!/Space_Kitty Space Kitty

He must be doing something better, at least, because I didn’t instantly hate him on sight. And with your kind permission, I’m stealing the hell out of douchus magnificus.

      • vahtel

        “Douchus magnificus,” FTW.

    • BuffaloBarbara

It’s okay. His job is to be pretty, and sometimes, he does it.

    • d4divine

He looks great…but he’d look good in a paper bag. IMO he is WAY too good looking to play Jobs…poetic license is one thing…but damn… really?

    • Mich

      I. Hate. His. Hair.

      • Fordzo

Eeep! Your avatar! Is that a whippet? How adorable.

        • Mich

Nope. Italian Greyhound. He was my little love. Passed in March at the age of 10.

          • Fordzo

Awww, I’m sorry. How big do they get?

            • Mich

They are tiny… Can range from 8-16 lbs. long legs… But tiny.

    • largishbearishAtlish

I am so utterly not a fan of his, but I have to agree, its a nice look (and now all I can see is that tshirt under the belt buckle…thanks a lot…). Now go away Ashton.

    • nannypoo

Well, he is a douche, so why wouldn’t he dress like a douche?

    • MandyM

No. White starched shirt. No tie is fine but T’s and suits are a no for me. I also like his hair a little less messy.

    • Gina Mondzelewski Small

Who’s looking at his clothes? My god he is so gorgeous, I just want to spread him on a cracker -

    • Eric Stott

He has a decent haircut, he’s shaved, and he’s not radiating Douche. Major Improvement!!!

      • kimmeister

I appreciated the clean shavenness myself.

    • msdamselfly

      Gorgeous suit

    • PeaceBang

My heavens! When did doofusy Ashton get so hot?

    • Vera

He’s totally working it, and since he used to model, he knows how.

    • UsedtobeEP

His character on That 70s Show reminded me so much of Keanu Reaves’s character in Parenthood (the film). Keanu was awesome in that movie. Unfortunately, he talks like that in all of his roles. (I know Kung Fu!) I haven’t seen anything Ashton Kutcher has been in other than some of the sitcom episodes, but he was really funny in those. So, I guess he acts like Kelso in everything. Too bad. He did such a good job playing the doof that I kind of forgot how good looking he was.

    • marlie

I like, except I can’t stop staring at the shirt peeking out from under the belt. I can’t NOT see it.

    • MartyBellerMask

He looks REALLY GOOD. Ugh I hate myself too, now.

    • Shawn EH

Models learn how to dress, if they were any good at all.

    • Imasewsure

Sorry too but this is amazeballs to me.. I love casual suits (and Rag and Bone because I can actually afford it). And he has a great face and great hair…

    • Imasewsure

And that suit is great on the model too!!

    • Jennifer Peters-Ahnberg

      Douchus magnificus. Utter genius.

    • Nicole Walraven

it looks to me like he purposefully tried to look as sloppy as he could, without having an actual stain on his shirt. douch-é

    • quiltrx

I’ve never, EVER thought he was hot. Once or twice I thought he had a charming smile, but that’s it.
But he’s actually cute here, almost hot…I can’t believe I’m saying this. I really do like that haircut on him. I think it’s because it looks like a hockey player or football player’s hair.

    • Heather

I just looked out the window, and pigs are flying by.

    • ShaoLinKitten

Irrational celebrity hate list denizen. I cannot give him the thumbs up. He looks like a slob. Not quite pulling a Pitt, but only because of his lack of scruffy facial hair and the fact that he got a haircut sometime in the last year.

      • alyce1213

        A really dorky haircut.

Its a awesome look for him. Agree, he could have dressed up a notch.

    • Linda Merrill

He was on Charlie Rose last night. Very well spoken, quiet and surprisingly smart guy. Making bank on investments in the tech sector, supporting and developing business start-ups. Not your usual “star”.

    • lilyvonschtupp

Having Ashton play Steve Jobs is like having JLo cast to play Sonia Sotamayor.

    • Pterodactyl111

When he speaks all I hear is Michael Kelso.

    • Constant Reader

I just… i can’t with this hair and those shoes.

    • Sara__B

He’s 35. He looks like he could be the sixth member of One Direction. I can’t figure out if this is a good or bad thing.

    • CT14

The way his pants are over one boot and stuck or stuffed in the other is making me crazy. It’s worse than badly hemmed pants!

    • Getoverit

Not altogether bad, but are his pants to loose for his belt or does he have his t-shirt tucked into his belt? That little itty bitty glitch is driving me crazy. Ruins the whole thing.

    • Just Me

Look at Ashton reminding us that he used to be a model!

    • Danielle

I just… can’t picture him as Steve Jobs.

    • andi56

Let me put in a plug for the T-shirt, because as annoying as he is, the company he has invested in makes some swell Ts. Pickwick and Weller, kids! I have been living in them all summer. With pants, of course; not just the T-shirt alone.
