Amanda Seyfried and Sharon Stone at the “Lovelace” LA Premiere

Posted on August 06, 2013

Amanda Seyfried and Sharon Stone attend the Los Angeles “Lovelace” Premiere at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, California. Amanda Seyfried is wearing a Gucci dress paired with Givenchy sandals Graziela Gems jewelry. Sharon Stone is in head-to-toe Salvatore Ferragamo.

They both look good… but I think they should’ve swapped hairstyles.

      • teensmom99

Sorry–I like the hair on each of them. Stone would have been too severe and Seyfreid too casual for her dress.

    • nyazgirl

Sharon looks stunning, albeit boring. The sensible shoes are stabbing my soul. And my dear Amanda looks hot, but should’ve done something more impressive with her coif.

      • Sobaika

She should have gotten a pedicure.

        • decormaven

Absolutely. Those shoes would sparkle with a nice pedi.

      • Carleenml

Sharon does look great! Makes me want to run out and buy pinky pink blush.

    • MilaXX

They are totally coordinating for this pole dance. Quibbles: Amanda needs some polish, even a neutral color on those toes. Sharon’s makeup looks heavy and the jacket is unflattering.

      • barbarienne

If I were an aging-but-still-gorgeous actress paired up with a younger actress who was kind of in the same looks-category as I was in my younger days, I’d be coordinating too.

Sharon Stone is doing a damn fine job of standing next to her younger Mini-me and proving that beauty is about more than just youth.

      • drdarke

Am I the only one who wondered if they’re playing “Kept Woman” and “The Older Woman Who’s Keeping Her”?

      • ankali

I was actually thinking that her makeup looks great, especially in comparison to yesterday. “Somebody fired her makeup gay”, I said to myself.

        • MilaXX

It looks better than yesterday but not as good as she usually does.

    • Meg0GayGuys6

I think this is my favorite Amanda look so far on this poledance. I love what Sharon’s wearing but either the shoes need to be switched out, or the hem of the pants need to change. Something funky’s goin on down there, south of the calves, of course :)

    • Rhonda Shore

They are definitely planning their looks together…love both. I wish Madonna would start dressing like Sharon in this shot. And i love her shoes, just a bit of pizzazz!!!

      • MoHub

        Love the loafers!

However, it looks as if someone got very angry with Amanda and punched her hard in both eyes.

    • filmcricket

Sharon’s hair looks way better than the last time, and her face is amazing, but wow that’s a terrible suit. Wrinkly, ill-fitting (in the case of the jacket) and thick-ifying. Why would you do that?

      Amanda looks good.

    • nannypoo

Amanda looks great here except for her unfinished feet. I can’t see anything of Sharon (black clothes against a black background) except her face and hair, which both look very pretty today.

    • Diego!

Amanda pressed the accelerator this time… She looks way better than the white dress she wore the other day. Sharon you got better too, but I’m not very fond of your elder shoes. But everything is perfect until we get to her ankles. But you look gorgeous too, don´t worry :P

    • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Damnit ladies, so close to perfection!

    • roverrun

Are wearing loafers on the red carpet kind of phoning it in?

      • marlie

Not if you’re Sharon Stone (and I don’t even like the shoes).

        • teensmom99

And I’d say not if you are wearing these fabulous Ferragamos.

    • imakeart

If Sharon Stone has had work done, please give me the name of her plastic surgeon. That’s some awesome work. If she hasn’t, then I hate her.

    • In_Stitches

Both are so close to great looks, but neither really sticks the landing.

Amanda: sideboob and a loose waist are not a great combination. A bracelet would have done wonders towards making this look appear a bit less ‘naked’.

Sharon: a (flimsy and ugly) black blouse under a beautifully fitted black tux? No. A simple white scoop neck shell was called for.

    • Chuck Barthelme

Something about Sharon’s look is off- though mostly hidden due to the color. Amanda looks great. She probably should have sprung for a pedi though.

    • Jaeda Laurez

I am not here for Sharon Stone in homely shoes. It’s wrong. I used to get Amanda Seyfried and Amanda Bynes confused, but 2013 cleared that up real quick for me. I do like Amanda’s look here, although i’m not sold on that hair.

    • mjude

i will always love a good man shoe.

    • Tatiana Luján

      They both look good.

    • Jessica Freeman

I wished there was some contrast instead of all black from Sharon. From the neck up, both of them look fantastic.

    • Constant Reader

I’m loving what Sharon Stone seems to be doing for this poledance. She’s all “Let the young girl dress sexy. My more covered up and ladylike style serves only to underscore the fact that I’m Sharon F’n Stone and I effortlessly exude gorgeous and sexy.” Well played, Ms. Stone.

      • BerlinerNYC

Yes. It’s both gracious (Amanda’s the star[let]) and clever (“look at my face and bow down, mothafuckas”).

      • Constant Reader

Oops, I accidentally upvoted my own post! *blushing*

    • CassandraMortmain

I love La Stone for wearing loafers on the red carpet. So much. And those are pretty snazzy, dressy loafers. They would work perfectly with a tux.

      • Lanus

YES. I’m about ready to applaud any damned shoe that has lower than 4 inches of heel.

      • Valdri8

I totally agree. She is giving a big middle toe to those that require 4″ heels on the RC. I also love the idea of the tux, if not exactly the tux itself. She had her roots done, thank heavens, and I think she looks ab fab.

    • Perigee

With the shirt tucked in and accented with a statement necklace, Sharon Stone’s outfit is darned close to what I wear depose litigants. Not okay for an opening. I totally appreciated that Stone is dressing her age, but still: she’s Sharon Stone, an age-defying icon of cold sexiness. This outfit is way too close to litigation associate.

      • Rand Ortega

“age-defying icon of cold sexiness” = GOLD.

        • teensmom99

I have to disagree–what looks so so on a litigation associate looks fab once you put it on La Stone. That is the way nature works.

      • demidaemon

Agreed. Where is the sex appeal we expect?

    • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gaby

I’m impressed with how the gold brings up gold pigment in Amanda’s blue eyes. Very striking.

    • Rand Ortega

La Stone is F-in’ gorgeous. Nothing more to discuss.

    • mlle

It looks like Amanda might actually own her shoes – she wore those to the NY premiere also.

    • Laurie Landry

Somehow Sharon Stone and Penny Loafers seems like an odd combo to me.
      But hey, she looks good.

    • Clydette Wantland

      Amanda needs a pedicure!

    • Clydette Wantland

And a manicure! It’s the red carpet in Hollywood for crying out loud! Someone couldn’t put some polish on her while doing her makeup?

    • decormaven

Great outfits, but couldn’t the shots be made at a different backdrop? I know they’re trying to work the movie logo into the shot, but with that dark background, it defeats the purpose of a fashion photo.

    • cmb123

Sharon Stone’s face is gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous

    • omg_dora

I don’t understand Sharon Stone’s outfit here. If you don’t want to do super-sexy, that’s awesome — you can choose between elegant, funky, avant-garde, or whatever. You don’t have to go invisible.

That said, she still outshines anyone near her just by having that face.

    • marlie

Sharon’s hair and makeup look great, but her suit is hella unflattering. I want to like Amanda’s dress, but it seems a little too shapeless to me. Her makeup looks good too, but I don’t like the lazy hairdo.

    • Beardslee

I think it is just terrific that Sharon Stone opted to wear those loafers. They are a nice touch to the look and, by able to move in them, she must look more elegant and in charge of what she is wearing. Kudos to the middle aged woman! She is in CHARGE.

    • rajf

They both look great. Even stars can have allergies, likes/dislikes, physical limitations/needs, any of which can explain a lack of nail polish or deploying sensible shoes.

    • Wellworn

SS: with a face like that, who needs an outfit that shows up in a photograph. AS: with a face like that, who needs a mani or pedi.

    • NoveltyRocker

A bold look just seems to jive better with Seyfried. Seeing her in frou-frou, baby pink, mini skirt suits causes dissonance in my brain.

    • NYCGlamourpuss

I know my eyesight is going downhill as I roll towards 50, but I can’t see what Sharon’s wearing against the dark background! I literally can only see awesome hair, makeup, and black loafers. Amanda looks perfect!

    • River

      I think Sharon looks outstanding.

    • calimon

Seyfried normally stirs irrational hate in me, but this disco-inspired look is undeniably well-suited for her. I suppose because it’s not her standard pretentious pretty-girl look.

    • rloliveira

I love that Sharon Stone is letting Amanda Seyfried shine, while still managing to look chic and age-appropriate. This is generosity at its best.

    • MzzPants

Amanda looks glorious from head to toe. Love that eye makeup on her.

    • formerlyAnon

I think that they’re both mastering the red carpet here, as solo turns and as a duo. Extremely high degree of difficulty and they can congratulate themselves, each other, and their teams.

    • teensmom99

This might be my favorite “pairs” of the year. Someone called La Stone’s shoes “comfortable shoes,” but I LOVE them. There is a difference between fabulous well-made loafers and comfort shoes. I’d add these to my [fantasy] closet of stiletto Manohlos any day. But really, these 2 women look their best (though La Stone still needs a make up artist who knows something about how things photograph because there are some weird pale spots–but she is too fabulous for that to really get in her way).

    • alyce1213

Despite minor quibbles (e.g., Amanda’s unpedicured toes), they both look gorgeous. Amanda has her work cut out for her, posing with Sharon Stone, and she’s doing just fine here.

    • demidaemon

I don’t like Amanda’s pulled back hair. It gives her the pinhead look. Sharon–and I can’t believe I’m saying this–looks entirely too buttoned up. What is going on, ladies!?

    • littlemac8

Wait, I got a Faye Dunaway vibe from Sharon!! Is it just me??

      • EEKstl

Yes, and not for the right reason. Both are stunning women in their own rights, but the sudden similarities appear to be more about their doctor than their genetics.

    • julnyes

Add a pedicure to AS and remove the jacket from SS and this look would be great in my opinion.
