Salma Hayek in Christopher Kane and Bottega Veneta on Good Morning America

Posted on July 12, 2013

We have to say, we’re loving Salma’s tendency to play dressup and how she’s extended it to both her entrances and her exits. And why the hell not? When you’ve got that much fashion and merchandise at your literal beck and call, you might as well spend all day trying on new outfits. She probably has an entire walk-in closet just for Starbucks runs.

Of course she doesn’t actually go on Starbucks runs. That’s what assistants are for, darling.

Salma Hayek arrives at the ABC Studios in New York City for an appearance on “Good Morning America” in a Christopher Kane dress paired with McQ Alexander McQueen booties.

Christopher Kane Resort 2013 Collection

Love. It’s sassy and summer and it looks just great on her. We don’t much love the shoes, but we like that she added some edge to the look, which could have gone quite precious with different styling.

But if we merely love the above outfit, we capital L-O-V-E LOVE this one, just for being kind of ridiculous and divatastic:

Salma Hayek leaves the “Good Morning America” studios in a Bottega Veneta jumpsuit.

“That’s right, bitches. I am wearing belted pajamas and you can’t get enough of it. Check my ass! Delicious, no? I’m going home now to try on 30 more outfits before going shopping. Ciao.”

My goodness, she even switched out the sunglasses!

    • AmeliaEve

I noticed that too! The devil is in the details.

      • silaria

The diva is in the details? 😀

  • d4divine

I saw her in an interview once where the interviewer asked her who were her favorite designers….her response, “…does it really matter, I can wear whomever I want.” Snap! Crackle! Pop! Bow down and watch a diva WERK!

    • Deb_Lynn

WOW, she is true DIVA, it’s amazing. Makes it sound like the fake quote TLo wrote above is actually real.

      • d4divine

I meant diva in a good way…to me she was being tongue and cheek but honest. She CAN wear whomever and whatever she wants, she’s married to François-Henri Pinault! It was also a clever way of avoiding the question. Again, bow down and watch a diva WERK

        • Deb_Lynn

I meant my comment positively too!!! Like, rich smart FABULOUS DIVA!!! (gotta work on my internet tone)

          • Molly

A true diva I know said that “diva means excellent” and henceforth that’s my definition. So I get what you mean.

  • RebeccaKW

I HATE the shoes in the first look, but at least they are actual shoes and not beach sandals made of rubber like the model.

    • H2olovngrl

She is working the shit out of that first dress in a way the model just couldn’t possibly in those flat sandals.

      • Heather

Those sandals are horrifying, like off-brand Tevas worn by hippies to play hackey-sack.

  • Danielle L

I adore the Christopher Kane dress. Hate the shoes, but the dress is fab.

  • rosie5215

The first pair of shoes look like they should be shipped to Rihanna, pronto, but they are a vast improvement over the glorified Tevas the model is wearing.

    • kimmeister

It’s a stretch to call them booties!

  • hughman

It’s magic. She walks in Lea Michelle and walks out Babs Streisand.

    • d4divine

Neither of the women you mentioned have ever look as good as Salma. LOL

    • wanderlustlive

      LOL! True!

  • crash1212

Love both. I even love the shoes in the first look!

  • Little_Olive

Its a i) wide-leg ii) jersey iii) jumpsuit iv) with dolman sleeves,

and she is WERKing it. And she is like 5’3” and busty.

I bow down. And want that jumpsuit.

    • d4divine

YES!!! It must be the yoga…she has the posture of LIFE

  • First look: I’m looking…I’m liking…I’m scrolling…godamnit Salma THOSE shoes?!?!?!
Second look: I’m in love. Totally. Completely.

  • Loola234

So – the first look is obvs modified from the lookbook/runway pic, but still with the uniboob? I admit, I do look for it because I sometimes struggle with that as well.
I think she had a bit of the uniboob going on very recently (the black pleather dominatrix get-up??) – she has ready access to tailors, I assume…she should utilize them as appropriate…

  • MilaXX

GRRRR Stupid @Disqus ate my post.

Love the first look. If you are going to do the booties with summer dress thing, then this is the booties you wear, not some stank boot.

Second look is gorgeous and that butt is werking.

I love that she even manages to slip in some shilling of her skincare line during her poledancing for this movie.

  • I love those large accessories!

  • PastryGoddess

I cannot believe I actually like that jumpsuit. I hate jumpsuits.

All that DIVA in my face must be screwing with my brain

  • kmk05

How is she even WERQ-ing that thing? There should be a higher level than PhD for clothes-wearing, because this is Professor level!

  • nannypoo

I really hate the shoes in the first look, but I love the dress. The jumpsuit was made for a woman with smaller boobs, but she looks great in it anyway.

  • Anniebet

All I can say is, she must have a full time undergarment crafter in her employ.

  • Shawn EH

Damn, she shows how to do it!

  • Adrianna Grężak

I love that she changed into something comfortable for her ride back to the hotel/wherever

  • Sunraya

Hate that pantsuit, and the shoes with the first dress, but I LOVE the first dress on her!!!

  • imakeart

She wore the jumpsuit on Kelly & Michael and raved about how comfortable it was. She hopped into the chair in the lotus position and said “I love it – I can even sit like this!”

    • That makes me so happy. Every celebrity should have a chance to do at least one television interview in a Forever Lazy. 😀

  • I love the jumpsuit because I can see her shoes. And that made all the difference.

  • kimiakay

I think being able to see her shoes in the jumpsuit keeps everything in proportion and doesn’t make her look stumpy. The way it drapes over her body makes it sexy and yet still understated. The yellow and black shows the tailoring a petite lady needs, fitting her perfectly. Cute dress.

  • decormaven

That first frock is such a nice summer dress, and while not a fan of the shoe, the heel is the right height to give it some kick. And the second look- only a diva can carry that off in style. And she did! Snaps, m’lady.

    • demidaemon

It’s that devilish (divatastic?) look at the end that completely sells it for me.

  • marlie

I love the first outfit, and the booties don’t even bother me.

  • demidaemon

    LOVE! That is all.

  • Trisha26

Love the first outfit (and shoes). HATE the second. She looks like a Kardashian.

  • Reality TV Casting

    shes teaching the fierceness yall

  • Jennifer Peters-Ahnberg

That first pair of shoes needs to be burned, ashes scattered from a crossroads.

But the second outfit? Puts a capital D on my amn!

  • macwell

I hope this becomes a trend, because I am loving it. It shows that she has style – or at least a good stylist. Hopefully it continues on the ‘up’.

  • Hildegerd Haugen

I can not stand this woman anymore.

  • lrober03

I love scrolling down the pictures of the Bottega Veneta thinking “It’s a dress, it’s a dress, OH it’s pants!”

  • ankali

No, I don’t like the jumpsuit on her. At least from the front view (back view, OK, yowza). She’s too short for it to work properly on her, I think.

  • wanderlustlive

IMHO, she is too short to wear that jumpsuit… I think it may look better in taller women. Love the summerish dress.

  • jmorino08

Those black shoes are giving me sympathy blisters! Ouch!!

  • largishbearishAtlish

and yet no one commented on the periscope’esce SUNglasses?? was there a solar eclipse that day? she couldn’t get lenscrafters to give her some of those cheap wrap arounds? ugh.
The outfit looks like shredded colored paper, and I mean that in a good way. The model is simple not enough to pull if off. wowzer.

    jumpsuit? really? *love*.

  • PeaceBang

I’m just having too much fun with her poses to really focus on the clothes. She’s working the Diva Jazz Hand. And that HAIR!! Glorious!!

  • Phyllis Craine

The bodice of her yellow dress is totally different from the runway version….and that’ sok

  • Diego!

This is how you are supposed to do it. Bravo Salma!!!

  • stubbornthoughts

I want to play dress up with Salma’s wardrobe so very, very badly. And I want her to be there because I’m pretty sure she’s fucking awesome.

See, I can handle Salma’s divaness. I cannot handle JLo’s divaness. One is badass fierce, the other is bitch nasty.

  • AnneElliot

I’m bowing down. Anyone 5’2″ and buxom who can carry off both those looks deserves snaps of respect.

  • MissAmynae

That first one is in my top 5 ever looks for her. Fantastic!

  • Aaminah Khan

First dress makes her waist look TINY. Like, to the point where I scrolled back up to see if she’d lost a dramatic amount of weight overnight.

I want those belted pyjamas. I would totally wear them grocery shopping just for kicks.

  • PrunellaV

Wow, I think that’s the best I’ve ever seen a jumpsuit look.
