Prince Harry at “Sentebale – Stories Of Hope” Private View

Posted on July 26, 2013

He’s just so … Harry, isn’t he?

Prince Harry attends the private view of “Sentebale – Stories Of Hope” at Getty Images Gallery in London.

In fact, we propose the first Royal reality show: That’s So Harry!

You know damn well it’d be an international hit.

    • marlie

      I’d watch it.

      • Sobaika

        I’d hit it.

        (Sorry. Had to.)

        • Emily Smith

I’d watch it while hitting it. (I’ll see myself out…)

          • NYCGlamourpuss

Damn, you people are too fast for me!

        • Vivi N

Came on here to say just that. Well, actually, “I’d watch AND hit it”.

    • Rand Ortega

Just the duties of the royal handlers trying to keep him clothed would be enough for me to watch.

      • Heather

I think it’s more their duty to let him be as unclothed as possible.

        • NYCGlamourpuss

It’s OUR royal duty to keep him unclothed.

        • Rand Ortega

          Either way…

        • drdarke

          No, @disqus_kNBIY4Bqx1:disqus – that’s Princess Kate’s duty…and apparently pleasure.

Future King of England, huh? Looks like he’d like nothing more than popping by the pub for a quick pint with the Lads before he goes home to the Missus and the Brat….

          • Heather

? I think you’re confusing him with his older brother?

            • drdarke

Wait, Heather – this isn’t the Prince married to the former Kate Middleton? ::Googles it:: Nope, it’s not – oops….

Well, no wonder he looks on his way ’round to the pub for a pint – or five, then!

Geez, I can’t even keep my own nieces and nephews straight – you expect me to do it for the Royal Family of a country I’m not a subject of…?

      • gabbilevy

He does look a little overheated in these photos. “Here, dear, let me help you out of those things…”

        • Rand Ortega

You’re wonderfully selfless, gabbilevy. Duty 1st. For King & Country!

    • Gaby

My curiosity is piqued by the Beanie Baby, since I am a child of the late 90s/early 2000s and my parents let me do the silly collecting thing for a while (but not into insanity, thankfully). Is it for the baby? Probably not the most appropriate gift for that age range, but it’s cute.

      • Gaby

Oh weird, some random lady gave it to him to pass on, my googling tells me. That’s strange. I suppose because it sort of looks like the “Princess” one they made in honor of Princess Di? (I have that one somewhere. I think it was a reissue, because it didn’t cost the ridiculous amount it did for a while back then.)

        • Emily Smith

I was thinking at first it might be the Di bear, but it looks too fuzzy to be the bear, it’s just a similar color. I had several bear beanies back in the day, they were less fuzzy, although the picture that shows you the head of the beanie is a bit blurred.

    • Jane

I need a “public view”. As usual, I love his “hare, heir, hair”.

    • Diego!

      He looks like a tomato

      • Gotham Tomato

Not any tomato that I know.

      • crackineggs

        He looks like his father.

    • Adriana_Paula

      Aww, Uncle Harry!

    • Nice_Pete

is that a Princess Di bear? What kind of person would do that?

      • hmariec19

I don’t think so. That one looks blue and fuzzier than the Princess Di bears.

Former Beanie Baby collector here. I AIN’T ASHAMED.

        • Emily Smith

I share your thoughts. I still have some of mine. NO SHAME.

        • Mary Featherstone

I still have the Princess Di beanie baby as well!

    • LipstickForPigs

Who the fuck gives anyone, much less Prince MoFo Harry, and Beanie Baby in this day and age? Seriously I see buckets of these things the you can’t PAY someone to take at every garage sale I hit.

      Also. He’s adorable.

      • Linda Merrill

The woman asked him to give it to the baby.

        • LipstickForPigs

Whatever. The only appropriate royal recipient I can think of for a Beanie Baby is the Queen’s Corgi.

          • AnneElliot

I just bought a whole sack of them at the local Goodwill, for a teen time craft at the library called Frankenbeanies. We’re going to cut them up and rearrange the parts like Dr. Frankenstein, or Sid in Toy Story. Kind of sick and twisted, but also kind of awesome. Teens love it.

            • zenobar

              MARRY ME.

            • LipstickForPigs

OMG. That sounds amazing, and frankly (see what I did there?) a much MUCH more interesting gift idea for wee George.

            • hac51

Mind if I swipe this idea for my kids’ group? This is AWESOME.

        • melisaurus

I don’t know about how things work in England, but in America a security guard would probably take it and they’d have to run it through 1000 different tests before giving it to a president/baby.

    • Judy_S

It’s all a reality show for them. With occasional scripting from Grandma.

    • StellaZafella

If you say the words: “air” “hair” “lair” together, quickly…you get what the royal family sounds like greeting the public…

      • kim bunchalastnames

… and now, across the world, hundreds of us are saying it over and over, like a mantra. maybe we’ll achieve harmonic convergence!

      • MemHey

When I say that I just sound like Madea.

    • thecitysleeps

I’d watch it religiously. He’s so hot jesus. That suit though.

      • kim bunchalastnames

i see what you did there.

    • KikiAvocado

Who’s that boys daddy… He is to cute to be any relation to ol’ Chuck

      • ShaoLinKitten

James Hewitt. Do a Google image search and you’ll see what I mean.

        • KikiAvocado

Que Escandalo! I was too young when Di passed to really grasp the drama among her and the royals. Never knew he was widely known a top baby daddy contender- looks do tell tho…

          • ShaoLinKitten

It is eerie how much they look alike. Could be a coincidence. If it’s not, and he is Harry’s father, one can only imagine the machinations that took place behind the scenes on that situation. Bill Maher posted the side-by-side pictures of Hewitt and Harry on his show, in which they look nearly identical, so it’s not like comparison this is a secret. It must be strange and painful for all involved.

            • JackieO

I have always thought that until I see Harry by Prince Phillip. I think they look a lot alike. Same noses. Diana’s brother was also a redhead.

            • alyce1213

They both have long noses, but in profile the shapes are different. Philip’s is classic aquiline. Harry has a slight curve, not quite as patrician as granddad.

            • AnneElliot

Also Diana’s oldest sister, Lady Sarah Mccorquodale. Her hair is the exact same shade of red as Harry’s.

            • embers618

I saw that side-by-side comparison, and my first thought was “wow, non-gingers must just think all gingers look alike.” Yes, they look similar, but in the way that most people of similar ethnic background (ie, aristrocratic English) tend to look alike, not necessarily in the way that people who share genetic material look alike. The way the royals pass on information about possible scandals, I’m guessing we’ll never get a definitive answer. I just hope Harry has a definitive answer so that he can deal with the speculation as it impacts him.

            • Carol

Seriously. Other than the red hair, they really don’t look alike. Noses, faces, chins: all differently shaped.

            • ShaoLinKitten

I think they look alike in the specific photo that Maher showed. They look far more alike in profile than they do dead on. Indeed, that specific photo, where they are both smiling, even their teeth look alike. However, he does, from the front, resemble Philip. It’s that big, curvy nose that looks Windsor. I think William strongly favors the Philip, and that’s a compliment, because Philip was a handsome devil in his day.

But you’re right. We’ll never know if Charles isn’t Harry’s father. I hope he is, though, for all their sakes.

            • Elmwood_Neighbor

Harry was a toddler when James Hewitt first met the Princess of Wales.

        • embers618

He also bears more than a passing resemblance to a young Prince Philip (who was nothing to sneeze at a few decades ago). And also his uncle Edward. It’s possible that the cute genes are just spotty in that family.

        • MsALVA

No, no he’s not. He is Charles’ son. They have the exact same close-set eyes/eyebrows/nose. The red hair comes from Diana’s side. The Hewitt rumor has been thoroughly debunked, they didn’t even meet until years after Harry was born. He also is the spitting image of his grandfather as a young man.

      • Beardslee

Actually, Diana called him “my little Spencer” because he favors her family so much (red hair among the Spencers for generations) and James Hewitt was not on the scene until some time after Harry was born.

        • alyce1213

This is an ongoing debate on this blog. I’ll give in that he bears a very slight resemblance to Charles from certain angles, when he’s not smiling and vivacious like he is here, but he really looks like a Spencer.

      • Guest

I have always thought that until I see Harry by Prince Phillip. I think they look a lot alike.

      • Mary Featherstone

I think the older Harry gets, the more he looks like the Windsors. The red hair is from the Spencer side.

      • tereliz

Naw, he looks like Charles in a lot of photos. But it’s the resemblance to (his great uncle, I think) Prince Philip that nails it.

        • luciaphile

Prince Philip is his grandfather. And I have always thought he resembles Philip a lot.

    • MilaXX

I would watch a Prince Harry reality show faithfully

    • Synnamin

so… Beanie Babies are still a thing?

      • demidaemon

Somewhat. However, they are nowhere near their original worth. Every time I go to my local flea market, there are still three or four vendors trying to schill hoards of them.

    • JP

Has he been outside of England recently? He looks like he’s got sunburn.

      • putacorkinit

He pilots Apache attack helicopters in Afghanistan. Also, we’ve been having a heatwave.

      • housefulofboys

I think he has the kind of complexion that “flushes” when he gets hot (I have it myself). It look very warm there and appears as though he was sweating, so I’m not surprised he has red cheeks.

        • Linda Merrill

Same here. I’m either ghosty white, or flushed red.

        • Laurie Cubbison

Yeah, I’m looking at him and seeing rosacea. He’s going to have to be careful as he progresses toward middle age.

          • housefulofboys

Not necessarily. I developed rosacea over the past 10 years too (lucky!) and – while rosacea is more likely to occur in people who have flush-prone skin – the two conditions don’t always occur together.

    • marishka1

Good googly-moogly, but he has been getting better with age.

    • Kane

Or perhaps the show could be called “Harry Situations”…

    • Joanne Abrams

I’d watch it too. He certainly has the good looks and he must feel somewhat relieved that now he is 4th in line!

    • Fordzo

Harry, my love, please start using some sunscreen.

    • SewingSiren

      Blue is his color.

    • kim bunchalastnames

      he’s just … so … VIRILE.

    • SignLadyB

He just seems so darn personable especially as compared to William. I suppose the mantle of royalty must fall on the first son.

      • kim bunchalastnames

how much of that, i wonder, is precisely BECAUSE he’s not the next heir to the throne?

        • StellaZafella

Andrew was always the “bad boy” too.

    • Charles

*sigh* he really did get all the best features of Charles, poor William isn’t ageing half as well.

Does anyone remember the first actual sort-of royal reality show? The one made by Prince Andrew (the royal everyone forgets) where royals sponsored celebrities to compete in sporting-esque activities outside Alton Towers? That was terrible

      • AnaRoW

Aside from the fact that William’s losing his hair at a much faster rate, I still think he’s much better looking than his brother. But then I’ve honestly never understood Harry’s appeal. I’m also still not sure he’s actually related to Charles.

        • myristica_fragrans

i used to swear he was hewitt’s kid, but he actually looks just like diana’s dad.

          • alyce1213

            And brother.

        • Andrew Schroeder

If you look at picture of Charles when he was a kid you can see the resemblance.

      • SRQkitten

I thought Edward was the one everyone forgets; Andrew got all the notoriety of being married to Fergie. Edward you just don’t hear much about at all.

        • Charles

You’re right, meant to say Edward but that’s how memorable he is.

          • SRQkitten

Yeah, back in the day, “Randy Andy” was the one to make it into the tabloids…..Harry’s following in that family tradition.

    • CeeQ

Aww so sweet and so hot at the same time =)

    • Mary Featherstone

    • CommentsByKatie

Prince Harry for the next Doctor! ; D

      • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

        Lord, that’s a marvelous idea!

    • Latin Buddy

MMmmmm I kinda wish he marries an American so that he spends most of his time in the US

      • alyce1213

Nice idea, but I kinda think “she” (lucky girl) would be spending more time in England. Rank, you know.

    • nannypoo

I’d watch his reality show. He’s adorable.

    • majorbedhead

I’m such a sucker for a ginger. Royal ginger = even better.

    • Tatiana Luján

      He’s way hotter than William.

    • Jessica Freeman

      Yes, please.

    • sweetlilvoice

I am totally not into redheaded men (as a redhead myself) but he is just adorable. So sweet and cute. And a little naughty!

      • SugarSnap108

I am so with you. I would never date a redhead, since it would look like I was with my brother, but he’s adorbs.

    • BeeBeauNYC

I would definitely watch if Harry and the silver fox behind him started making out!

    • lilyvonschtupp

He looks more and more like Prince Phillip every day.

    • stubbornthoughts

Man, 10 years ago, who could’ve seen it coming that Harry would take over as the hotter prince? That being said, marriage and fatherhood looks soooo good on Will.

    • formerlyAnon

Now that Wills has an heir, he must be over the moon. No longer the responsibility of being “the spare.” One imagines his leeway to be the fun, scapegrace, adventurous sibling immediately expanded.

    • Pennymac

Sigh. He’s the exact same age as my second son, who is also a ginger. Its a little embarrassing, therefore, how HOT I find him! LOL

    • MemHey

Someone check that bear for anthrax or chloroform or something #moriartywasreal

    • lrhoff

He’s adorable. He’ll keep the monarchy hoppin’, that’s for sure.

    • Ugly

i feel so out of sync with literally 100% of the world…like what is this dude’s appeal?? idgi

    • quiltrx

I never, ever thought the little guy would grow up to be so outgoing and hot! His personality practically oozes out…charm and a sweet smile go a long way!

    • DamH

      He looks happy indeed.

    • AnnPopovic

He looks FUN. Like he’d be the one to get everyone laughing. He’s adorable. I’d absolutely HATE it if he was on a reality show; it’d be a hit, of course, but we’d all grow to hate him before the first hour was over and that’d spoil all the fun.

      • formerlyAnon

Yeah. The constraints of class and position in which they’re raised, plus the unconscious assumptions of being & living amongst the wealthy since birth, make it impossible that a royal, however kind-hearted, well-mannered, and mindful of their privilege, is ever going to come off well under that kind of scrutiny.

    • Danielle L
