ridiculous. Suits are drab and boring and the rest I’m still trying to see a point or design vision other than showing off packets and toned abdomens.

      • Blair Sylvester

isn’t that reason enough? its reason enough for me ;)

        • conniemd

True dat but the Thunder from Down Under is performing here in the Poconos (this weekend I think) and at their performance I would at least get to see the muscles and packets move in interesting ways :)

        • e jerry powell

I can see fully naked men pretty much anywhere, whenever I want to, and for free a fair amount of the time. I don’t need fashion shows for that, I need fashion shows to see fashion trends.

And truly, these clothes are crap. Nobody should be paying boutique prices for any of these pieces. Of course, there are easily a few thousand young gay men who will, and they deserve all the gawking and giggling they’ll get for it.

          • Blair Sylvester

I think this show hits quite a few menswear trends. And I’m just saying when the fashion sucks at least there are attractive men to look at

    • Jonquil

There are pieces that are passable. But the overarching impression was “douchey”.

      • Kristin McNamara

Yes, that was my first impression. “The whiff of douche is strong in this one” (these ones).

    • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Bwahahahahaaa…NO. But, I do appreciate the prettiness of the boys on display and the designer’s commitment to dress douchey dudes of all social groups.

      • Annarosa

I see Ricky Martin somewhere in there… Not that I consider him a douche, but it looks quite like his style.

      • aj_hawks

Indeed. The designer must be a humanitarian. How inspiring.

    • In_Stitches

Looks like the wardrobe for the kept men of Hugh Hefner’s ex-wives.

    • hughman

“Paging the ghost of Michel Jackson…”

      • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

        Who’s bad?

    • Kirstin McAulay

heeelllllooooo tattoo boys…. sorry, was there clothes there ;)

      • shawna

Yes, center model fourth row up can come home with mama.

    • kimmeister

I guess if you can have tattoo “sleeves,” why not tattoo “pantlegs”?

    • bertkeeter

      Except for some great abs…pointless!

    • Glam Dixie

I seriously went through the entire post and when I got to the comments I realized I had not noticed the clothes but had been checking out the models. Not a good sign for the clothes.

      • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

Me too. I found myself saying “me big meaty legs. I have beeeeeg meeeety legs! beeg meeety legs!” etc. That’s a bad sign, right?

    • kirkyo

I guess it’s perfect if you’re going for “complete asshole”

      • decormaven

        FTW

      • j_anson

Some guys are. This stuff totally has a market. And also, yes.

    • MilaXX

Meh, the underwear is more interesting than half the so called fashion.

    • JauntyJohn

Some of those shoes are excellent.
As for the rest… *shrug.* Nothing remarkable.
As for the models… there are a couple of Lawdy! Lawdy! boys in there.
Fascinating how “ink” is now… both a thing and a non-thing at the same time. It might help get you the job, but it probably won’t prevent you from getting the job. We’ve all come to take it in stride in pretty short order.

    • NoveltyRocker

This is like when an industry can only see itself and keeps churning out grosser and grosser copies of its own insular surroundings.

    • lulukittie

Vegas craps dealer meets Blade Runner.

      • quiltrx

More Blade Runner and less craps dealer, and it might have really been something!

      • veleri

I read “vegan” at first, and I was a little bit puzzled. Now I get it.

    • Anniebet

Well, at least it’s Menswear for actual men, not circus clowns or your crazy cousin Justin. I know the perfect guy for the skull and crossbones (very) briefs.

    • marlie

One throwback to Michael Jackson, and otherwise, nothing particularly interesting.

    • sekushinonyanko

      Yawn.

    • demidaemon

I really don’t understand the inspiration for this collection. I couldn’t even make a guess at what it was. That said: Underwear models = YUM!

    • http://wipgirl.wordpress.com Kristel

I can sort of picture Justin Beiber showing up somewhere in some of these coats. I don’t know why I feel comfortable suggesting anything that Beiber might wear, but I think the douche vibe is the same here as in his magazine covers.

    • j_anson

Well. I guess it’s nice to know your market. And this definitely has a market. A really boring, bro-y market.

    • quiltrx

Some of these guys are SO hot, and others totally smell like vinegar and water. :(
By far the best piece is that very first jacket. It’s awesome. AND it reminds me of the one Halford wore in the “Turbo Lover” video, which I consider quite possibly the most magical leather jacket/coat of all time.
And BWAHAHAHAHAHA at the quiet literal “Canadian Tuxedo” sixth row center! Almost did a spit-take all over my laptop at that one.!

    • Why_Eden

Initially read the title as Phillip Lim and at the sight of the first pics thought I was tripping. I mean, nothing’s wrong with beefy boys in underwear, but it doesn’t make for very exciting or interesting clothes.

    • Malve Lyborg

And this mess comes from the guy who tried to be the Tim Gunn in the german version of Project Runway.

    • MoHub

Third row of three, first look: Pee Wee Herman wants his suit back.

    • majorbedhead

Lots of nice thighs and nice abs, but other than that, it’s all eh. And since when is underwear runway-worthy? Come on.

      • alyce1213

This may be a thing now. There were also men in undies in the Dsquared2 runway show. I thought it was out of context there, even more than this show.

    • hypeman414

I am sort of shocked at these comments, because I think this is a great men’s collection. I feel as though everyone is looking at the showmanship and not the quality of the clothes. I would wear so many pieces from this collection. The leather jackets are fantastic. You can see the workmanship and the creativity, yet they are saleable and wearable. The tailored jackets and suits looks great too. All the jeans are hot, modern, young.

I could see some many stars and athletes wearing these pieces. JAY-Z, Kanye, LeBron, Dwayne Wade, Beiber, anyone in the hip hop area. Most styled just as they are here. Especially, the last three rows (with shirts).

    • MaggieMae

This is leaving me feeling old and out of touch.

    • FunButNutz

I see big beefy thighs are back in vogue. Brava!

    • Sushy Gooroo

This is unoriginal. Nothing of this seems fresh. Tattoos and bare legs don’t compensate for the lack of creativity.

    • BKagainwiththesweatpants

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiighs. Mama likey. God, I LOVE Sausage Fridays.

    • Puckndc

      Rue Paul meets GI Joe

    • Patrick Cleary

I like some of the basics, but it’s really not exciting enough for a fantasy collection or well-thought-out enough for a basics collection. The guys are all kind of cute, though. Nice beefy guys, not the skinny young’uns you get in a lot of fashion shows.

    • Phyllis Craine

The guy in the green nut huggers whose thighs are bigger than his head totally cracks me up

    • KikiAvocado

this collection is all over the place!

    • Terry

I swear that the guy in the middle of the second photo looks like his fly is unzipped.

    • Diego!

These clothes look like Ricky Martin’s wardbrobe… including the models.

    • Danielle L

      ALL THE TATTOOS.

    • Shawn EH

Well, here’s where all the cute guys were hiding, but I don’t know why they’re wearing Michael Jackson’s old clothes.

    • VioletFem

I’m a girl, and I want some of those tuxedo jackets for myself. I especially like the jackets with the skull & bones emblem. The whole line is a bit of a mixed bag. Some of the other jackets look a bit overdone.

    • CPK1

Ryan Lochte was obvs this guy’s muse. The whole thing is very “Jeah”

    • kolokOlchik

      thank you.

    • Chadge

All these pretty boys with the bad man tattoos are giving me the vapors….
