You look super cute, Michael B. Now go make out with Andrew Garfield.

    • Rand Ortega

Here’s my credit card if that will make it any easier. Always here to help!

      • filmcricket

Someone on the AV Club pointed out that whoever plays MJ in the next SpiderMan movie will have the unenviable task of being more desirable than Emma Stone, especially since MJ’s a redhead and we all know how much cuter Emma is as a ginger. Clearly the only solution is to take Garfield’s suggestion and make MJ a boy.

        • Rand Ortega

          Genius!

        • demidaemon

If that actually happened, I would pay to watch this movie in theaters more than once. And I’ve never done that.

  • Stella Zawistowski

I think he’s super cute. But I’m now afraid to look up how old he is, lest I feel like a dirty old lady.

    • d4divine

      He’s 26…totally legal ;-)

    • Rand Ortega

      How’s that a bad thing?

  • http://www.kimisgold.com/ Kim

    Here’s the boy, D’Angelo!

  • http://www.wordydoodles.com WordyDoodles

Beautiful. I read an article about how deeply he dove into research about Oscar Grant and Bay Area/west coast culture. Really respect that.

  • d4divine

He’s precious, and he still has that celebrity is fun glow….bless his gorgeous heart.

    • j_anson

Totally agreed. He looks like he’s actually happy to be there. Is anything more appealing than that?

    • drdarke

And – he dresses nice. Not flashy, not top shelf – but his suit looks good on him and more importantly, IT FITS HIM!

I’ll bet he went to the trouble to go to Men’s Wearhouse and get his outfit tailored before he hit the red carpet – or his Grandma did, because there was no WAY she was going to let Michael go to a movie premiere looking slovenly! You know the kind – one of those formidable nonagenarian women who wishes Barack Obama could marry all of her daughters – and still thinks Tyler Perry is straight….

  • d4divine

Hey…if Michael B. Jordan can find a proper tailor, why the heck can’t the rest of them!

    • In_Stitches

That jacket is fairly huge on him through the body, but the pants are perfection.

      • http://robot-heart.tumblr.com heartbot

It looks like it fits to me. I think we’re just getting too accustomed to seeing dude stars cram themselves into jackets several sizes too small.

        • In_Stitches

You’re right. It could be tighter, but that doesn’t mean it needs to be.

          • d4divine

Yeah…I think it looks good not plastered to his body. To be honest, I think men’s clothing is a bit too tight these days.

  • ninamadeleine

Hey cutie!! He looks so happy and good. This movie looks great, and I’m welcoming back with open arms after him being on FNL. Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose!

    • filmcricket

Since you brought the FNL, I must bring The Wire: “Where’s Wallace? Where’s the boy, String?”

  • Courtenay P

boring suit but CUTE man in it. those eyes and that smile…

  • crash1212

I love Sausage Friday. This is perfection.

  • Ashley Alvarez

I feel super creepy about the fact that I just gleefully whispered ‘get it get it’ to an empty room.

    • maggiemaybe

Don’t feel creepy. You’re amongst friends.

  • editrixie

WALLACE! He’s all growed up, and looking FINE. I know most of the kittens hate on the shiny suits, but I have to admit I’m really enjoying the trend. He is fabulous here.

    • AmeliaEve

I kinda like the shiny suit myself. He has the proper retro styling for the whole thing — this has a very SCLC vibe to it with the white shirt and the skinny tie. It would be a whole other story with dark shirt and an open neck. But he is too young and earnest to look sleazy.

    • ShaoLinKitten

Some guys can work the shiny suit. This is one of those guys.

      • decormaven

Absolutely! What a great smile he has as well. Good job, sir.

  • another_laura

It might be a little bit boring, but it fits and CUFFS and GROOMING. I’m happy. Oh and yes, he’s pretty cute.

  • kimmeister

The smile is adorable. Now stop fiddling with your cuff or watch.

  • appliquer

Like! More colorful tie, though, please!

  • shopgirl716

Love him! He looks adorable. He was amazing in Friday Night Lights. I also saw him in Parenthood but felt his abilities were underserved in that role.

  • formerlyAnon

Very cute. Nice suit, like the choice of tie. Despite his actual age (26) he looks about 17 to me, which is a bit young for me to feel as enthused as I otherwise might.

THANK-YOU T & Lo for such an abundant Sausage Friday. I am damn near exhausted looking at and forgetting to critique photos of attractive men with the money to dress well.

  • Danielle L

Perfectly groomed. Go ahead, Michael B.

  • YourBaloneyDontGotNoSecondName

Very possibly the next Best Actor Oscar winner.

    • MilaXX

      from your lips……

      • YourBaloneyDontGotNoSecondName

Best Actor winners are never under 30. He would be the youngest ever, younger than Adrien Brody for The Pianist. However, this was a HUGE favorite at Sundance and that usually means both critical acclaim and wide audience appeal. It’s getting good reviews (and has former winner Octavia Spencer in it, so it’s already on Oscar radar) and it seems like it’s going to break out with the general public. Even this early he is a lock for a nomination, there’s no way he won’t be nominated. He’s already respected and loved in the industry and with fans of Friday Night Lights and The Wire. So he will have actor branch support. If it picks up crowd momentum (and it seems like it is going to) the movie could very well pick up Picture, Adapted Screenplay, Director noms and another nom for Octavia. If that happens, he could become a very sentimental favorite for the win, which could overcome Best Actor ageism — and it would be a ‘daring’ thing to award a very young man of color. But as it stands right now, he’s a lock for a nomination. Not to mention, Will Smith’s (aging) mantle.

        • MilaXX

I’d be happy to see it. He’s done such good work. I love that we the viewers have gotten to see him grow and mature before our very eyes.

          • ThaliaMenninger

He’s come a long way from ALL MY CHILDREN. :-)

  • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

    Perfection. What a smile!

  • MilaXX

Hey boo! Love the tie, wish the shirt was any color but white. Nonetheless, minor quibbles.

  • http://www.what-the-frock.com Dana WhatTheFrock

    Wallace/Vince!!!!!!! Love him.

  • PastryGoddess

    DAYUM!

    That is all

  • Julie Chase

He grew up nicely. GREAT smile.

  • Scoop

First off, yum. What a cute guy! And the suit is spot-on. Come on, if he had worn a flashier tie with this fly shiny suit, the peanut gallery here would have ripped him up. Anyway… The main point is GO SEE THIS MOVIE. I saw it a couple of months ago at a screening, and it is powerful stuff, true story as well. And he is stellar in it.

    • dorothea_brooke

OK OK! I mean, I want to see this, but I know it will break my heart into a million little pieces. . But not right away, still a little tender after the news from Florida.

  • nannypoo

Very nice, and he knows how to pose without messing up his suit. Now I need to find out who he is.

  • Anniebet

So nice here. Snazzy, mildly sexy, and I wanna give him a hug (sisterly, of course). Hope he’s gonna be a star.

  • Joyce VG

    Perfection.

  • JauntyJohn

All this, AND no hand in pocket? Dear Lord, what word transcends “perfection?” Sublime?
Suave, poised… because it is so well tailored, and he has the earring accessory going, this moves out of the bland category (grey suit, shiny or not) and into the Classic.

  • ShaoLinKitten

I love love love him. If he doesn’t get an Oscar nom for Fruitvale Station, I’ll be shaking my fist saying, “Where’s Wallace, Academy? Where’s the boy?!”

  • e jerry powell

Erica Kane hooked Reggie Porter up with the good threads!

  • kimiakay

I love this suit. He looks amazing.

  • prettybigkitty

Wallace sure grew up into a fine young man.

  • joanna dash

    Holy hotness.

  • Sara__B

Fine-looking young man in a fine-looking suit. He even shot his cuffs. (He’s younger than my kids, so I need to stop drooling.)

  • marlie

He looks great! I wish a minion had made sure everything was just so, but other than that, I love this.

  • Haley Buchanan

Cute as hell. But his suit’s a wee bit shiny.

  • Nonmercisansfacon

    WERQ it Wallace!

  • ItsDicey

Wallace be looking FINE, though he could do with a better tie.

  • Maev

I feel like I will never be able to judge any of his work as an actor objectively as whenever I see him all I can think is “WALLACE” and then I cry. He was so adorable and completely, completely doomed. (On a shallow note, goodness he’s changed. Seems to have finally grown into his jaw).

  • jmorino08

I have been trying to figure out what I recognize him from and it just came to me… He was Hattie’s devirginizer on Parenthood right?!? Just utterly adorable!!

  • librarygrrl64

Talented and handsome young man looks great. Film at 11. :-)

  • Diego!

He looks nice, a little bit shiny to my taste. He reminds me of “Mr. Carey” Nick Cannon.

  • carnush

He is too adorable. That smile!!

  • http://robot-heart.tumblr.com heartbot

    Be still my heart.

  • megohd

Damn, he is elegant and handsome, even with the two earrings (which is not a favorite look of mine). And he can act. Swoon!

  • Joan Roseman

I am so happy to be able to answer D’Angelo’s question: Here is Wallace, alive and looking fine!

  • lilyvonschtupp

    He’s perfect. 10/10

  • MissAmynae

    Very very nice. Well done.

  • eight_of_nine

Oh my goodness, what a cutie.
