Jenna Elfman at LAX

Posted on July 15, 2013

This, we’ve gotta say, is one of the cutest/realistic celebrity airport getups we’ve seen in a long while.

Jenna Elfman seen at LAX airport.

Doesn’t that feel kind of real-world do-able? Cute without looking styled or precious? It’s funny, though. We keep wanting to say her bag doesn’t really go with the rest of the outfit. Obviously, that’s just temp insanity on our parts because we’d never truthfully rate anyone’s carry-on luggage as an accessory, but it’s a testament to how cute the outfit is, and how large purses have become, that it reads like a poorly chosen accessory at first glance.

It’s not! Don’t yell at us! We’re just saying our eyes treat it as a purse because the rest of her look is so put-together.

Don’t hate me, but I love the bag. Sure, it doesn’t match the outfit, but I appreciate a huge tote.

    • Me too!

      • drdarke

        Me three!

What? A guy can’t need a big tote to carry his life around in, too? What are ya anyway, sexist…?

  • kimmeister

Those shoes would not be fun to take on and off to go through airport security.

    • Meg0GayGuys6

True, but she could do a nice little jazz number in them 😉

      • kimmeister

They definitely look more like dance shoes than wear-on-the-street shoes. You can see each toe!

        • Meg0GayGuys6

I’m glad you saw that too! I didn’t know if it was my own big feet complex 🙂

      • gabbilevy

I’ve got a pair of those! Does that make me fashionable?

        • Meg0GayGuys6

Heck yea! And bonus points for any sequined socks/leg warmers that you have!

    • StellaZafella

I agree…but I ask you: Did you ever, in your life, think we’d come to a place of rating footwear on criteria like how easy they’d be going through security?

      • Ronica Skarphol Brownson

Considering you go through security once, and at most it takes 15 seconds to remove even those shoes, but you have to be in your shoes all stinking day, I say it’s worth it. Minor inconvenience. Unlace while you stand in line, kick off, 15 seconds to relace, no biggie. I did this on our last trip and was very glad to be comfortable all day in my cute kicks.

        • Coolekat

I think Stella is talking about the absurdity of having to remove one’s shoes in the first place. How did we ever get to this place. When I was a girl Tampa’s airport was open air. No walls or doors – just a roof over chairs and luggage moving racks.

      • kimmeister

I sure didn’t. In addition to thinking about the footwear, I also think about the hosiery situation. I’d prefer not to be barefoot walking through the scanner. My husband has it even worse – he has some big car accident scars, and if he has to go through the full body scanner the agents keep insisting he must have something in his pockets. :- /

      • marlie

I consider my whole outfit based on stuff like that. Shoes easy to remove? Check. Layers for when the plane gets frigid, or I sit on the tarmac and it turns into an oven? Check.

        • Little_Olive

Layers, layers, layers!! Especially because living in the Southern Hemisphere I usually change climates, so have to travel with something that will resist that. Plus dreadful a/c.

As for Jenna, that blazer is quite far from airplane clothes IMO.

      • RebeccaKW

On that topic and not at all related to fashion, I saw part of a Tom Green standup routine (based solely on his tv show, I was surprised that this recent standup was funny) where he talks about America isn’t free b/c we are the only nation that requires people on airplanes to take off their shoes. And then pass through an x-ray machine that for some reason can’t penetrate shoes.

And if that’s true (only American security requires removal of shoes) it could explain why she isn’t wearing shoes with more ease of removal.

    • marlie

That’s why I’d probably wear ballet flats instead.

    • Glammie

I used to wear jazz shoes all the time and tied loosely, you can actually slip them off and on.

  • MilaXX

    I want that bag!

    • You can probably have one for about 2K. (smirk)

      • MilaXX

yeah, as long as I don’t mind buying that new refrigerator I need more.

        • mjude

i love the bag too & its not even my style. as for the fridge, well give yourself a moment to think about it then on your way to sears 🙂

  • msftmargarita

She looks younger than Julianne Hough.

  • trelkowsky

Jenna Elfman still gets recognised? Truly there is no gay mafia…

    • AnaRoW

She still works regularly. She had a TV show last season with Bill Pullman.

  • decormaven

Put-together look, and I appreciate the laced shoes. Even if they’re a PITA at security, that’s solid footwear for travel. Love that tote- looks luxe.

  • Emily Smith

I think I would fit inside that bag.

  • snarkykitten

the only Elfman I care about is her uncle-in-law

    • Celandine1

YES! I am totally with you on that one. One of the reasons I moved to California for grad school was to get the chance to see Oingo Boingo live as often as possible.

      • snarkykitten

        Infinitely jealous of you!

  • Michelle Wilson

The bag is the cutest part of the outfit!

    • VioletFem

Agreed. I actually think it works quite well with the outfit, cause the orangeness contrasts well against the blue/grey combo she is sporting.

      • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

I love the word “orangeness” and am going to use it now. xoxo

  • mhleta

Are those jazz shoes? She looks good. This is my go-to sort of look as well. Easy as hell.

  • Ann VerWiebe

Do you think she carries socks so she doesn’t have to step on the yellow feet with barefeet?

  • cowper

Need designer compression socks, maybe in yellow or red. Then she’d have the total airplane outfit.

  • Diego!

She looks gorgeous! Except those ugly shoes…

  • marlie

I’d wear just this outfit on a flight, though I’d switch out the shoes for a fun pair of ballet flats. Very cute and realistic, indeed.

    • Jessica Freeman

Same here, going through dance as a kid my ‘jazz’ shoes looked like that. For that reason, I could never wear those style shoes. Jazz hands!

  • Anniebet

So nice to see her again, especially looking so dapper and all. Go Jenna.

  • nannypoo

I love the bag and will buy one if I can find it and (maybe not so likely) if I can afford it. Does anyone know who makes it?

  • largishbearishAtlish

Just charming. I am so sorry her last series tanked…. she really *tried*.

  • prettybigkitty

Things must be slow in celebrity photo land. Every day tons of women in cities across the country dress in way more stylish and put together outfits. Carrying coordinating totes to boot! Nothing noteworthy about this look at all. Aside from the fact she was on a few popular TV shows.

  • Just Me

Covet The Bag. Dear Universe: Me Want. Make it happen. Thanks, Just Me.

  • Fordzo

Jamie Lee Curtis called. She wants her face back.

    • Katie Wolf

      I see it! Good call!

  • ConnieBV

I hate those shoes. SO. MUCH.

  • aahlife

Why is she walking with her hands in her tiny pockets? Who does that? She seems to be very aware that she is being photographed and posing.

  • judybrowni

You have no idea how tall that girl is, until you stand near her.

They claim 6 ft, but I swear it’s more. She’s a down-home, real girl Artemis.

    Cute airport outfit, too.

  • librarygrrl64

    Want. That. Bag.
