How lovely of Gucci to recycle my grandmother’s sofa!

      • MilaXX

How nice of Kim K to donate her maternity dress from the Met Gala

        • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

They had ALL THAT fabric, so it’s quite sustainable of them.

          • marlie

            BAM.

            • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

              xxxoo

      • Louise Bryan

It saves so much time to make the clothes obvious couch potato wear, when the potato blends right into the couch.

    • Shawn EH

Jackets with darts, floral prints and superhero tights … it’s a direction?

    • Diego!

Except for the flower printed clothes, which are disgusting, everything else is gorgeous!

I know I’ve seen a few collections when I start recognizes the models. Some of these guys are getting used in like every show.

    • MilaXX

This is actually pretty wearable except I don’t know many who will wear that floral stuff, much less wear it all together

      • omg_dora

I don’t either, but I wish I did, because I think the more muted florals would actually look lovely on a lot of guys.

I really love upholstery-style florals for some reason.

        • andrea36608

I tell you what, some more adventurous prep boys could wear these to the country club and look so awesome, and not be necessarily out of place because the hardcore preps wear some weird shit, sometimes. My husband is proportioned to wear these looks, I would love to go to Italy and get some made for him. But he’s 6’6″, so even if I could persuade him to wear these (which he might, he’s pretty adventuresome), we couldn’t get them as RTW.

    • hughman

This is actually what I expected the Paul Smith collection to be more like. But please, let’s not even pretend to call these “pants”.

      • Gwyndall

I believe “jodhpurs” is the word you’re looking for… even though the spelling is bizarre and I had to double-check it.

      • YourBaloneyDontGotNoSecondName

Younger me would like the color blocked pants a LOT if they were not skinny or stretchy, and rendered in a thicker cotton fabric. Mila + color – twink = could work on me.

    • Lori

Fellas, if your dream is to look like a sofa, a mental patient or one of the dudes on Deadliest Catch it’s your lucky day, because Gucci has you covered.

      • Domo_Konnichiwa

I was a mental patient, and our shit looked a lot nicer than that :)

      • TAGinMO

        Slipcovered, one might say.

    • Frank_821

The floral fabric are hideous. some of the coats have cool silhouettes though and there is a bit of a futuristic vibe. Take away the floral and you’d have a good collection

    • Qitkat

Do you ever get the feeling someone blindfolded the designer and took them to a third-rate fabric store? No? Just me then?

    • conniemd

Even Gucci has lost their collective minds for spring 2014.

    • YourBaloneyDontGotNoSecondName

Once again, I love most of the coats. Once again, I live in Texas and need something warmer than a t-shirt about three days a year. Once again, People for the Ethical Treatment of Sofas.

    • kimmeister

      Uhh . . . the sunglasses are great. That’s all I’ve got.

    • YoungSally

I’m confused — when did Gucci and LL Bean sign a partnership?

    • TheAmericaness

The first picture and last couple of rows look like Fraulein Maria knocked some more clothing up for Friedrich and Kurt for their fashionable journey to America out of some extra curtains and bedspreads. The rest looks nice. I like the suits.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_QFW22QV426LUOEPGASPZJWJMDE MishaFoomin

Suitcases are the new purse??? And that backpack actually takes up the whole back!

    • Nancer

Skinny jeans on men just don’t work for me. Personal preference, I guess.

    • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

They’ve got hospital orderlies and men comfortably in touch with their own femininity totally covered. Not too sure who else, but hey, Gucci was never meant to be for EVERYbody.

    • Monabel

      Boyflorals!!

    • NoveltyRocker

I like the idea of something silken and collarless under a suit. I’d much rather see something complete like that than a sloppy unbuttoned collar.

    • crash1212

I must say, I’ve pretty much hated every collection for the boys presented on the hallowed pages of this blog. Although, I could totally rock that first blazer/jacket thing.

    • demidaemon

This is both hideous (the prints) and just juvenile in places.

    • Donna Tabor

There are those cloned cute gay boyfriends again. Seriously, do the modeling agencies use sets of triplets?

    • gabbilevy

A couple of those blue rose patterns made me think immediately of our beloved Joanie Harris. … just me?

    • Anniebet

I’m trying to imagine getting my SO to wear one of those floral getups. Nope, but my Aunt Sophie would be all over that first outfit and the rest of the flowery stuff. This whole collection gives me a tummy ache, especially the beige plastic jacket with yellow collar, 5th row down on the left (not counting the top photo).

    • Imasewsure

The regular suits look beautifully cut… not loving the rest of it

    • joything

Color blocking on the skinny pants make the gents look knock-kneed, IMHO. No, thank you.

    • bertkeeter

NICE! But on most of the other collections…how many rich skinny pooftahs are out there that than can buy / afford these looks?

    • par3182

I’ve got one word for you, Gucci: socks.

    • TSkot

      Great for women,

    • kirkyo

      I fear 2014.

Also, that light salmon color I keep seeing, I don’t want to see that on ANY man.

    • DCSheehan

      Want. Flower. Pants. Bad!

    • Mlzx

I would like some of those lady pants for my lady legs. The purses are enough for these boys.

    • ankali

Love the florals. Meh to everything else.

    • veleri

“Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.” (Miranda Priestly)

      • aj_hawks

This is what immediately popped into my head as well.

    • Bakerlooline

At least there are no sandals.

    • Catiline

The brown color blocks running down the legs of some of those pants… um. Excuse my vulgarity, but Squirts Couture is all I can think of.

    • marlie

I want to see one of the hipster boystars wear that orange suit in the 4th row from the bottom, first pic).

    • Kent Roby

Floral suits? Gucci has designed an entire collection that can only be worn by Alan Cumming.

      • marlie

That would be perfection. Why would you need anyone else, after AC?

        • Kent Roby

Yes, I love AC; it just seems like Gucci might need to sell to more than just him ! :)

    • Puckndc

Some of the coats and sweaters are nice..it’s also nice to see that some of the designers are getting past overly tight/short sweaters that look 3 sizes too small…luxurious sweaters should LOOK luxurious!
