Gotta love Goldie, even if that dress isn’t doing much for her. She’s a doll no matter what she wears.

    • StellaZafella

Classic Goldie…I can hear the laughter and feel years young(er) now.

      Love the duck lips take!

      • mshesterp

I think she really looks like her daughter in that one. Not loving the blousy dress, but she is Goldie, and she is awesome.

    • PastryGoddess

I get happy just looking at her. Good end to the day

    • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Fuck it. She has reached Cher-like status with me. She can wear whatever she wants because no matter what she wears, she is fabulous-fun having-duck kisses blowing-possibly a little drunk-but always down for a good time-GOLDIE.

    • teensmom99

She’s in a class by herself for knowing what her style is. But I am wondering who would really rock that dress . ..

      • kimmeister

Looks like a great maternity dress to me.

      • SylviaFowler

        9 mos pregnant Jessica Simpson.

    • Little_Olive

Is it too soon to call her Crazy Old Broad? Gotta love her. She smiles just like my 5-year old niece does when been naughty.

      • orcasandy

well. since she’s a year older than Cher, I think she that makes her a charter member of the COB Club.

      • http://thishotoldbroad.blogspot.com/ Sara Leigh Merrey

She’s definitely in that club. Especially since she started the Ditzy Chick Club back when she started on Laugh-in, which yes, I watched when it was originally on TV.

    • Anniebet

She certainly looks happy to be there. Love the freckles and blue toenails. There is much to be said for being comfortable in your own skin. Kudos to her.

      • rajf

and her skin (including that decolletage) looks freakin’ fantastic.

    • gabbilevy

      Whatever she’s on, I hope she’s sharing.

    • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

      Love her unreservedly.

    • Mismarker

I’ve loved her since “Overboard” and this may be sacrilege to say…. this dress makes her look 7 months pregnant. I’m sorry, Goldie. And congratulations. ; )

      • Joan Wilder

I think it’s the pattern that opens up around her abdomen…it’s a trick of the eyes but she definitely looks pregnant.

      • kimmeister

I’ve always coveted the cedar shoe rack that she was having built in that movie!

      • alyce1213

You must be quite young! Her earlier movies were great fun: Cactus Flower (won Oscar), The Sugarland Express, Shampoo, Foul Play, Seems Like Old Times, etc. — and my favorite, Private Benjamin.

        • conniemd

ahhhhh Private Benjamin. “Where are the condos?”

          • alyce1213

“I don’t have a back leg.” This movie is chock full of memorable funny lines.

        • Mismarker

i’m 38, so not terribly young anymore! One of my favorite older Goldie movies is Butterflies are Free. Overboard is just extremely quotable (“Caviar should be round, and hard, and of adequate size, and should burst in your mouth at *precisely* the right moment”) plus there’s the whole Kurt Russell factor!

        • H2olovngrl

Aww, I love her movies with Chevy Chase! Great fun and nice chemistry!

    • nannypoo

I was thinking she looks kind of silly, but I read the previous comments and now I’m rethinking my opinion. Nope, still silly.

      • MoHub

But silly is what Goldie does. And does it well.

        • H2olovngrl

She looks delightfully hippy dippy chic!

      • Rhonda Shore

Actually — and I’ll preface this by saying I like Goldie and her movies — I think her face looks scary, particularly the duck lips picture. She’d look better if she allowed herself to age a bit.

    • mmebam

The movement in that one picture makes me want to dance!

    • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Unrelated: Obviously Kate is her daughter, etc. … But does anyone else see shades of Jennifer Anniston’s future here?

      • sekushinonyanko

They say you have to choose your butt or your face, and either decide to be thin and have your face get gaunt or gain weight but look younger in the face. It look like Goldie choose her face and put on just a few more pounds. I think Aniston would choose her butt and go more the route of Sarah Jessica Parker and keep the body as tight as always, but get a little thin and harsh through the face.

        • Little_Olive

Man, that is a tough call! Face, I guess.

Also, J. Aniston doesn’t appear to have what it takes to carry herself with such pizazz when she’s older. It’s still time, though.

        • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

I think twenty more years of loving tequila and beach vacations will make that choice for her. After all, SJP has to be the living embodiment of I Don’t Know How She Does It, complete with NYC Mommy wars. Jen will get to stay comedic, skin bearing and up for an adventure.

      • makeityourself

Astute observation. I am fascinated by female celebrities who are sexy/cute as younger women, but absolutely refuse to change their style as they age. (Cher has her own category because she was never cute — she’s interesting/exotic.) They ignore all the “shoulds and shouldn’ts” for their age group, especially relating to hair, hemlines and necklines. I predict that Aniston will do exactly as Goldie has done. Two peas in a pod.

        • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Right? It’s an aura thing. And a fondness for beachy looks no matter the venue.

    • TheAmericaness

It looks like a Goldie dress.

    • frannyprof

      Bless.

    • Surely

She IS adorable. I just really wish she hadn’t messed with her face so much.

      • MoHub

Saw her on Graham Norton, and her face had no movement whatsoever. Looked as if she had permanent lockjaw, and the top third was even more immobile. I feared her face would split open if she so much as cocked an eyebrow.

        • ailujailuj

ugh. the face. I ain’t no psychic (not officially, anyway) but every time I see this gem, I can’t help but think that if she hadn’t fucked with the face, she would be simply gorgeous still. Maybe…. MAYBE if she stopped the fuckery now, we’ll get her true look back in 5 yrs. Please?

    • decormaven

Not bad! Holding her own, and that’s a good thing. She radiates happiness.

    • MilaXX

What can you say? It’s classic Goldie

    • http://thishotoldbroad.blogspot.com/ Sara Leigh Merrey

Love Goldie, don’t love the dress. She’ll always be a little wacky, so it’s fitting.

    • Tracy_Flick

That dress is pure maternity wear, and her salesmanship is coming off sort of unhinged. The cut! The duckface! I’m dying.

      • conniemd

But Goldie has always been duck face personified as a parody of it. In “First Wives Club” she was an aging movie star getting collagen treatments to her lips to make them bigger and poutier and giving duck face.

    • Tess Danesi

I love Goldie and have since (Oprah help me) LaughIn. Her smile has always been utterly radiant and never the fake Hollywood gritting through her teeth thing. She seems to have retained her bubbly, youthful spirit and as such she deserves a much better dress than this. Still, how can one hate when you look at her smile?

      • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

I do wonder if it is tiring being that “on” whenever you leave the house though. I think she is lovely but I just don’t have enough bubbles to bubble that much.

      • MoHub

Goldie is actually from my neck of the woods and used to teach extracurricular ballet at my elementary school.

    • alyce1213

Love Goldie — always have, always will.

    • formerlyAnon

I always think that somewhere between 45 and 65 it’s time for one’s style to start making concessions to aging gracefully with respect to one’s hair & face. But god help us, she’s not giving ground. Even if from certain angles you kinda think there’s been almost as much lost as gained with the facial work.

But why quibble? She’s Goldie. I sincerely hope her inner state is as happy as the energy she projects.

    • quiltrx

She looks very…Goldie, doesn’t she? She always looks like she’s having a good time, and this is a good dress for a gal like that.

    • Julie Chase

She always looks like she’s having the time of her life. Good for her.

    • Slanted & Enchanted

Oh man, I would love for you guys to post photos of Novak Djokovic. I bet that man can rock a suit…but I wouldn’t mind being proven wrong as long as I get to look at him, ha.

    • marlie

I love this crazy old broad, but I hate that this dress is almost making her look pregnant.

    • dschubba

I like the idea of this dress, but it ain’t doing her any favors, here.

    • Imasewsure

Definitely not a good shape for her but the pictures are fun. Can’t see her shoes too well but points for not wearing white pumps and/or those horrid white ankle strap shoes we keep seeing over and over

    • e jerry powell

Mama is still bubbly as hell, I’ll give her that.

The dress, not so much. Maybe she’s been spending too much time around Kate.

      • DuBey2

That’s it! That dress is all Kate – who can actually get away with it. And why in the world (w/her Boho love) is Kate the face of Ann Taylor now?? But I digress…
Still gotta love Goldie Hawn and that smile. She needs support and maybe a waistline, though.

    • amber.

      what…
      sigh.
      WHAT IS GOING ON HERE

    • DamH

      She is a treasure.

    • http://marshmallowjane.com/ marshmallowjane

She looks fabulous–if you can ignore the dress. She is having fun (with the dress or in spite of the dress). Her hair and makeup look terrific. I have seen her with bangs in her eyes, like she’s hiding her face. What’s to hide? Many female celebs who wear their hair down on the red carpet look messy. Goldie’s hair looks pretty and in good condition. Her hair is an asset.

      • MoHub

        Bangs hid plastic-surgery cut-and-stitch lines.

    • A Shiny O’Connor

I’d say she’s a larf to get drunk with.

    • appliquer

I think her makeup looks good. The dress, however, makes her look very thick through the middle. And talk about needing a makeover – I’d really like to see her in something besides a sleeveless gown with her hair down.

    • Jaeda Laurez

      Goldie gon’ Goldie.

    • Danielle L

      Luv her!

    • maggiemaybe

I just love Goldie Hawn. Saw Foul Play when I was 12 years old and just never got over her…

    • H2olovngrl

Her colorist does amazing work. She looks wonderful.

    • Pudgy Possum

Love her everywhere but here. She looks demented, as does the old-person-on-vacay dress.

    • artgirl9

      too much mugging. sorry.

    • altissima

      She’s pregnant?!?

    • altissima

      Wait, she’s pregnant?!?

    • Damien W

Amazing how she’s looking more and more like her daughter every year — new doctor?

The caption should read “Goldie Hawn attends the 1973 Novak Djokovic Foundation Gala Dinner in London.” That thing screams Ursula Andress/Petula Clark Oscar gown.

    • wanderlustlive

That dress does not do her any favor… It destroyed her figure

    • jmorino08

I’m getting a great big ol’ “It TWIRLED up!” vibe from this look. Just me?!

    • http://weirdinedgewise.blogspot.com ONEWEIRDWORD

Ya know, she and Camilla PB are about the same age, and while Goldie looks kinda sorta younger, Camilla looks way better. Goldie’s poor lil face is all puffy and frozen.
