Chris Evans at the “Snowpiercer” Press Conference

Posted on July 30, 2013

Chris, you minutely control every bit of food that enters your mouth, spend hours at the gym every day perfecting your body, occasionally pose for Gucci ads, and wear makeup every single working day of your life.

Chris Evans attends the “Snowpiercer” press conference in Seoul, South Korea.

Cut the bullshit. You’re not in a freaking chain gang.

If we ever do go ahead with that line of T Lo t-shirts people keep asking for, we’re thinking one of them will read “TILDA WORE COUTURE” in  “FRANKIE SAYS RELAX” style.

    Love you guys.

  • Pitting.

    • ashtangajunkie

      Without a doubt.

    • smayer

Not quite – at least Chris showered.

      • mlle

        And got his hair trimmed.

        • drdarke

Hey, that outfit looks comfortable, at least – though maybe not Press Conference Appropriate.

    • marlie

Still not as bad as Pitt.

  • gabbilevy

I would buy all those shirts.

Chris, you’re a schlub. Go home, doll.

  • ashtangajunkie

“TLO SAYS NO PITTING.” I would buy that shirt.

    • Domo_Konnichiwa

Only if it ends with “, bitches.”

  • Kathy_Marlow

I would buy that shirt and wear the hell out of it.

  • DinaSews

    I DEFINITELY WANT a TLo T-shirt!!!

  • RebeccaKW

His hair kind of looks like…fur? Maybe a makeup brush? It’s kind of weird.

I hate the look on his face in those pics of him standing, hands in pockets. Normally, I think he’s pretty hot, but right here he’s kind of skeezy.

    • Third picture makes up for it.

    • turtleemily

I feel like he looks better moving than he does in stills.

      • RebeccaKW

He looks better naked than he does in clothes. 🙂

  • jtabz

Hmmm … If enough of us beg for a T-shirt line of TLoisms … ?

    • MilaXX

cafe press makes it really easy.

  • mishka

    still adorable

  • Danielle L

  • hellkell

I would buy that t-shirt. Please make it happen!

  • Diego!

This is just… sad, tough it’s a great outfit to walk around the city (?)

  • MilaXX

I’ll take that tshirt in navy blue.
Just when I was beginning to think male stars had WIllis the f**k Up and where dressing better on the RC, we get Brad Pitt & Chris Evans to come along a mess up the grove.

    • Oh my. Apparently Bruce has been quite the ass during this press junket. His latest TV interview, he wore a robe. Sigh. If he effs up “Willis the f**k up” I am gonna be pissed.

      • MilaXX

Really? I’ve only seen him being charming on chat shows and such. I hope that was a joke or a one off.

  • JMB_edits

I would wear the shit out of a “Bitter Kitten” shirt.

  • Could not be said better. And I would wear the t shirt, even though I usually dislike being emblazoned with text.

  • 3boysful

The shirt looks small, almost like it’s a woman’s cut.

  • AlisonS

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!! I’d wear the shit out of a “TILDA WORE COUTURE” shirt. Damnit! Now I want one.

Oh and of all the eye candy the Marvel line has given us in the past decade, he’s my least favorite. I probably blame his performance as the dumb jock in “Not Another Teen Movie” ’cause he was so believable.

    • Catiline

I have to admit that against all my expectations, he totally won me over as Captain America. In some ways, I think he had one of the highest difficulty levels of any of the Marvel actors, just because that type of paragon-of-goodness character can so easily tip over into self-parody. Actually, he managed to play the actual self-parody (during the USO sequence) in a really funny way, and then play the character’s core heroism totally straight. I was really impressed.

Not so impressed that I’m overlooking the outfit on display here, mind you.

      • VioletFlame

        What Caitiline said.

      • turtleemily

I also loved him as Cap. His Human Torch is one of the few good parts of those awful Fantastic Four movies, too.

        • MemHey

In the wake of the Avengers I totally forgot he was Human Torch, too! Thanks for the reminder.

  • Catiline

Ahahaha. I saw these pictures on another site yesterday and I KNEW Mr. Evans was going to come in for a deserved uncle-scolding. I really like him but can’t deny he looks like he’s about to go do some work on the railroad after this premiere. I’m actually really excited for the movie he’s promoting, but that’s taking the theme a little far…

  • geans

Just throwing it out there that I’d also take “TILDA WORE COUTURE” on a mug and a bumper sticker.

    • MemHey

      Bumper sticker for sure!

  • kipper

Someone please try and explain the whole ” I just stopped working on my car and popped onto this red carpet ” style that the alpha humans have adopted ?? Where did it come from and WHY (?!?) is it ok ???

  • Just Me

If he wore a different, somewhat more formal shirt (think Henry Cavill’s pullover from a similar event) and jeans that were not designed for the next big thing in hip-hop, I could get behind it. Tilda is a world unto herself. She will wear couture to her own funeral, with a knowing smirk for the bitches in the front row…but even outside of that, the boy could have come to this event not looking like he was going to check out the local mall afterwards.

  • Jessica Freeman

Yes, you little shit. Want TLo quotey shirt so bad now.

  • I would buy that T-shirt. For sure.

  • MoHub

I’d want a tee that lists all the great couture queens—Helen, Tilda, Cate, Iman, etc.—on the front and says “Bow. Down. Bitches.” in three separate lines on the back.

    • filmcricket

The front should be in the style of that “John & Paul & George & Ringo” shirt in the Beatles font. I would wear the hell out of that shirt.

      • demidaemon

Same here. This needs to happen, stat!

  • EdithP

I imagine Tilda wears couture to walk the dogs. I certainly hope so, anyway.

  • formerlyAnon

I am not going to compare to Ms. Swinton. But when I am 98% certain that he has a stylist at his disposal, why do his pants fit as though he buys off the rack, not even on line but from whatever was in stock?

I mean, what is the point of having people if they neither fit nor hem nor press?

  • anotherkate

Please, please, PLEASE make a line of TLo branded clothing. I want “precious unborn fawn” plastered across my chest. I want “Girl, that’s not your dress!” on a hat. I want a “WERQ” pinkie ring!

  • formerlyAnon

P.s. I am now going to hold off on replacing broken coffee mugs, hoping to someday have a set with TLo sayings on ’em. (Because I can’t honestly see working even the greatest hits condensed version into my wardrobe. I don’t need that many slogan tees.)

    • ashtangajunkie

Coffee cups are a great idea!

  • Dave Hime

As far as t-shirts go, I’m ready to pre-order one that says “Here. Have some Tilda”.

  • stephbellard

I would happily help him pick better clothes…as long as I get to physically undress and re-dress him.

  • padma sallah

I laughed when reads what you guys wrote. I read the title movie
premier and thought, WTF, Tilda DRESSED up. If you didnt want to dress
up then at least you shouldnt have worn a shirt. There would been at
    least something to admire then.

  • random_poster

Wait…Tilda is in movies with Chris Evans and Tom Hiddleston, and she gets to wear couture?

    • EdithP

I could claw her eyes out, I’m so jealous.

    • Just Me

I was waiting for someone to point that out for the Bitter Kittens to chew on.

  • Josefina Madariaga Suárez

I also suggest “I CAN’T FINISH A SENTENCE, KORTO”. Actually, I think you could recollect from the blog a lot of quotes worthy to a T-shirt. I would buy the shit out of them.

  • Kimmu

Evans gets a pass from me for how he dresses for any public appearance that is not a red carpet because he has severe social anxiety and these things terrify him and I totally relate.

    • Tara Deenihan

Is that true? I didn’t know that!

      • Kimmu

It is! He’s talked about it a few times when asked, and when I saw him in person at NYCC a couple of years ago, he was visibly uncomfortable for most of the panel. He had a hat on and at one point was actually hiding behind his arms as much as he could. Not to say that he didn’t participate, he did and was quite charming when he spoke, but you could clearly see how difficult it was for him.

        • Tara Deenihan

Aaaaaand this only makes me love him more.

  • Betsy

1 – Trousers: Pull up your pants. Buy them in a size smaller (and shorter! too much break!!). Wear a belt.
2 – Jeans: Unacceptable. Nice dress slacks, preferably as part of a suit.
3 – Shirt: Iron a decent one, and tuck it in. Oh, and it also could use some shaping. And NO pockets. And NO white buttons on blue chambray. Ick!
4 – Suit Jacket: Missing. See #2 above. Ditto the tie.
5 – Stubble: Really? Really?? You don’t own a razor? Really???
6 – Attitude: Yours is WAY too big for your overlarge britches. You aren’t actually too cool for school.
7 – Quit. Wearing. Shirts. You. Slept. In.

    • demidaemon

I can’t tell if he’s wearing a belt or not, so this is just a possible addendum:

      • Betsy

or we will staple your pants onto your manly butt, with our Craftsman Staple Gun by Sears.

  • Poeta Paz

I like TILDA SAYS COUTURE; but I also like CUT THE BULLSHIT.

  • mmebam

  • kimmeister

As fun as shirts emblazoned with TLO-isms would be, I can’t imagine our gay uncles ever advocating the wearing of conversation tees on adults.

  • Imasewsure

And of course another Ugly American moment brought to you by the makers of Dockers! Ugh

  • Jennelle

    I would wear that shirt…

  • YourBaloneyDontGotNoSecondName

  • another_laura

I’ll buy one of those tees, T Lo!

And what a freaking mess this guy is here. Sheesh.

  • Tara Deenihan

Be fair. That’s probably designer chain gang drag. And hey, at least he looks clean, which is more than a lot of other actors can say in public appearances. But I might be slightly biased by the crippling crush I have on him.

  • furyleika

Would it have been as upsetting if Tilda had dressed down?

I’m horribly biased because I have an enormous crush on Chris Evans, but this isn’t that offensive to me. It’s a press conference, but not a premiere or anything. Plus, from what I understand, he’s got near-crippling social anxiety, so him showing up at all probably took all of the effort.

  • Ashleigh

    the looks he gives…very arrogant

  • ShaoLinKitten

At least iron your shirt, dude. And I want the TLo t-shirt.

  • conniemd

I feel for anyone with social anxiety and any other mental disorders. But I’m not sure how dressing down helps with such anxiety. I’d think his handlers would try to dress him snazzily to relieve his anxiety. Certainly being criticized for being poorly dressed can’t help him unless somehow being dressed down makes him believe it’s not a press conference.

  • clairellis

It would be better if he didn’t look like he hated the fact that he had to go to this event. He looks bored.

  • MzzPants

There would have to be a ‘Willis the Fuck Up’ t-shirt. And now I want them both.

  • H2olovngrl

I would like my shirt to include the Little Shit” part.

  • Tina Power

I just have to say, Chris Evans has a major case of social anxiety. Seriously. This kind of thing freaks him out. If anything dressing like that makes him comfortable to be able to do publicity stuff. If he wore something fancy, he’d probably vomit the second he got off the stage.

  • snarkykitten

you guys should totally make TILDA WORE COUTURE shirts to give away to the first 100 people who have per-ordered your book

  • Ruth Preston

I’d also like to humbly suggest

    OF COURSE, and

And I’ll admit, I do occasionally long for a BITTER KITTENS bomber jacket.

  • MannahattaMamma

that’s a t-shirt i would buy…and is anyone else feeling sorry for Tilda that she has to consort on the RC with this tool?

  • Mmmmmm, tho.

  • quiltrx

I would SO buy that shirt. And one that says “Bitter Kitten” of course.
He’s SO pretty…but I need him clean-shaven and in some CLASSY clothes. NOT ready for his shift in the detailing department of a car dealership.

    • not_Bridget

In the Avengers movie, Captain America wears “retro” styles when not in costume. Clean shaven & with neat hair, of course. The look really suits him. I’d never paid attention to the actor but really liked him in Captain America & The Avengers–he was a “good” man before he got his superpowers.

So it makes me sad to see Evans looking this way.

  • HobbitGirl

I would buy a TILDA WORE COUTURE shirt. Just so you know. 🙂

  • MartyBellerMask

Whatever. I have zero interest in this boy and this appearance is not changing that. Which means he is not doing his job. Celebrity, you are supposed to make me want more. I want less! Bad celebrity!

  • NBG

    Dear T+Lo,

This campaign you guys have to get the boystars to dress like grown-ups? I am LIVING for it. Don’t stop. Ever.

  • Carol

He looks like a farm hand.
