wow you can really see k-fed in the kids.

  • LadyCelia

That style dress always reminds me of Spanx.

  • HomeOfficeGirl

Too short, too tight, blah blah blah… She still mostly looks pained to be on the red carpet. Wish someone would give her permission NOT to wear a bandage dress.

    • Sobaika

I think she wears them mostly to show off her body and that she’s still got IT.

    • drdarke

I don’t care what @TLo say – Katie Perry looks better on the RC than Britney, even if Britney has her kids….

  • crash1212

You know, I’m over bandage dresses – but – I’m giving this a pass because this is the very first time in years that Brit has looked comfortable in front of a camera. It’s the firs time I didn’t want to just hug her and get her off the step-and-repeat because she looked so stressed. It’s a cute look and her boys are adorable. Nice going!

    • Rhonda Shore

She looks good but talk about a confining garment!

      • Little_Olive

Really, her boobs look like egg yolks. I’m hurting.

    • veriance

Yes! She looks reasonably healthy and her boys look happy. Whether it’s in or out, its a win for Britney.

  • Mkay. I suppose its sorta kinda venue appropriate. When, however is a bandage dress and your own children a good mix?

    • Cathy S

Yeah, I was wondering what her kids think about the way she’s dressed. I suppose they’re used to it. But I find it weird.

      • marlie

They’re boys. They hardly notice these things (at least, my 4 nephews between the ages of 8 and 13 don’t).

        • Cathy S

My older son is 11. He frequently asks me why girls wear bikinis, why girls wear nail polish, why girls wear makeup. The thought of me wearing something other than a one-piece bathing suit freaks him the hell out. Some of them notice these things.

  • RebeccaKW

I don’t think this is her shade of blue and I hate those shoes with it. I am sad she went back to blonde, as she looked so much better IMO as a brunette. I do agree with another BK that she does look comfortable and not deer-in-the-headlights on the red carpet.

  • Diego!

I can’t believe I was going to say this, but she looks gorgeous! A little bit tired tough, but overall this is a great dress and she is rocking it! Kaley Cuoco, take note please!

  • She brings out my mamma bear qualities, so I find it hard to be objective. She’s got an amazing body, as the dress clearly illustrates. The shoes hurt my soul, but they make sense given the who, what, when and where. She isn’t radiating stress and panic, and really appears to be a celeb mom out with her cute kids, hoping they don’t act up, as boys can do. An overall, well done.

    • Julie Chase

Agreed. I’m just always happy to see her happy and healthy looking.

    • StellaZafella

“Babies, mommy says, use your indoor voices and don’t say the words we talked about, ‘kay? We’ll go for ice cream and a Dr Pepper right after the mean people take some pictures, ‘kay?”

      • I always have this moment of fear that my children will act the fool in some way that makes me have to do the clenched-smile-under-the-breath-hissed”Stop it!” And I don’t have to worry that moment will be criticized and analyzed repeatedly in the tabloid news.

        • zenobar

When my kids act up in public – which, mercifully, is rare – I just give them my patented “Don’t Make Me Use My Wal-Mart Mom* Voice” warning look, and that generally does the trick.

*Every single time I’ve ever set foot in a Wal-Mart, I have seen a mother yanking a child out of the toy or video game section by the ear and hissing angrily. Every Time.

          • So, before I brought any into this world, I had the pleasure of being a step monster. One post Christmas sale, as the kids and I were maxed out on shopping patience, they were clowning, roughly 20 feet away, while I stood in line. As I shot death rays from my eyes, I head Cinderella tell Cinderfella, “We need to cut it out, we got The Look.” I have never been so proud. I truly felt like a parent, for the first time.

          • zenobar

I find that in addition to the death rays, a good nostril flare really takes things to the next level.

          • marlie

I’m going to have to jot down these tips from you and @annabelle_archer:disqus for when I have kids of my own. 😉 Then again, my mom did the same thing with us many, many years ago.

Oh – and “just WAIT until we get home.” Scared us sh!tless.

          • melisaurus

I think part of it is actually following up on discipline. This means when you shoot death rays and the kids don’t stop you have to actually stop them. Otherwise you’ll end up being the hissing mom in no time as your kids casually ignore your empty death eyes.

  • H2olovngrl

Those kids must have the most surreal life. I liked the dress in profile, notsomuch straight on. Too short, too tight. Hey, but her kids are cute, and she looks healthy. I call it a win.

  • kayleymaybe

Of course. Talk about a style rut.

  • Courtenay P

This is so dated. However, I have a soft spot for Britney so no hate here. I just hope she’s happy.

  • Jessica Freeman

I don’t love the dress, but damn if she don’t look good in it.

  • She looks fantastic. Also, her kids are growing up so fast!

  • Just Me

For her…it is not so bad. She looks attractive and relaxed, most of the goodies are covered and I am not overly embarrassed for her children being seen with her looking this way.

  • Pudgy Possum

She has that flustered mommy look about her. I think it’s because–or at least I suspect it’s because–her kids are a handful.

  • ashpo17

Anyone else think her face looks amazing? Her skin is flawless! Youngest I’ve seen her look for a long time…

    • I appreciate that she looks fantastic, yet her age. There’s not a lot of extreme procedure happening there. Even on my best days, I have a bit of under eye action going, and so does she, and that is as it should be at nearly 40.

      • Tatiana Luján

        She’s not nearly 40, she’s 32 years old.

But she has 2 kids and a showbiz life, I bet she has slept many times without removing her makeup properly.

        • shit. really? i thought, for sure she was 38 or so. oops!

          • demidaemon

It’s the usual “the world is crushing me” look she usually has that makes her appear older. Here, she does look a bit younger and happier (though not particularly ecstatic. Small steps, everyone!).

        • CherHorowitz

She’s 31 and she looks fabulous! I hope I look good at “nearly 40” LOL

  • kmk05

She really is a reluctant celebrity. I don’t watch that show she mentors on (is it The Voice? X Factor?) so I don’t really have a grasp on her persona, but here she looks happy but tired. Cute with her kids, though!

    • kimmeister

You didn’t miss much. She left X-Factor after one season, after not having contributed much.

      • kmk05

I think she’s the best definition of a ‘9 to 5’ celebu-person: go to work reluctantly (photo ops, X Factor), do your job with limited enthusiasm, go home. You just KNOW she’s working here, and she wishes she were somewhere else. Which is different from all the other celebrities who are actually real attention seekers, I guess.

      • demidaemon

You could tell she despised that job and was only doing it because her fiance roped her into it.

  • SophiaPehawkins

Britney has never met a bandage dress she didn’t like. Despite that, she looks really pretty.

  • MilaXX

Same old look she always defaults to. I wish she wasn’t wearing the platform pumps, but the look is okay.

  • conniemd

Looks like her kids were pulling on her hair.

  • jmorino08

Can we co-opt “Of course” every time Brit shows up somewhere in a bandage dress without angering Lea Michele?

  • housefulofboys

She looks pretty, and more comfortable in her skin than she has in a long time. And her kid showing off his blue tongue cracks me up!

  • sunsetwalker

Umm is that Chef Duff Goldman form Charm City Cakes in that last photo!!!

    • BawlmerGurl

You are correct! And does he look bemused, or what?

  • alyce1213

Even though I hate what she’s wearing, I think she looks terrific. Her boys are really adorable.

  • zenobar

Never been a bit Britney fan, but I notice she’s developed a somewhat melancholy look about her – not unlike later photos of Marilyn Monroe, a sort of sadness in the eyes. Poor lady has really had quite a decade, hasn’t she.

  • OrigamiRose

Not crazy about it the dress or shoes, but she’s sporting her most valuable accessories – a look of health and love for her kiddos. Good to see her smiling.

  • flamingoNW

Britney, there ARE other kinds of dresses, you know..

  • Sara Brams-Miller

I think she actually looks great for once.

  • formerlyAnon

I think she looks great (for her) here, and way more relaxed than usual, maybe because she’s got the boys to focus on?

  • lobsterlen

Not nuts about the dress but its Brittany and overall she looks great here. Those 2 boys are adorable. I hope I never have to read another tragic Brittany story again and her life is smooth sailing from here on out.

Those 2 boys look about the same age she really didn’t wait much between them.

  • frannyprof

    Of course.

  • Little_Olive

I think Britney could totally get away with a style switch, from “ex – babe” to “fashionable young mom”. Something in the area of nice jeans with a special top, a blazer and pumps. It would give so her much confidence.

    • I would love to see that. I think her biggest issue is that she personally just doesn’t have much in the way of taste. She needs a fresh, hip, stylist who knows how to rock classics + trendy pieces, and who fill her closet with mix and match items that she can’t screw up when dressing alone.

  • Adriana

The kids’ tongues match the blue theme.

    • formerlyAnon

I’d bet they were giving away blue refreshments.

  • Sharon Newland

Duff from Ace of Cakes is photo bombing the last pic…LOL I think Brittany looks great.

  • kimmeister

Eeeks, the black panel looks like it’s really digging into her in the 2nd-to-last photo.

  • CeeRich

She looks great but this look is sooo DONE and typical Hollywood starlett/singer/etc. I would love to see her find her own unique style. I think she has it in her.

  • marlie

Pretty standard outfit for BritBrit, but I’m glad she’s looking healthy.

  • Danielle L

I’m ready for bodycon dresses to be declared OVER, and this isn’t her shade of blue.

  • Adrianna Grężak

She looks great, though I wish her hair color was more natural, it’s kind of clashing with her tan skin. I also love that her sons are dressed practically and like regular kids. (Judging by the blue tongue, she’s anticipating some blue stains!)

PS OMG Duff looks so excited to see her in the last pic. <3 Ace of Cakes

  • NYCGlamourpuss

The dress is so tight I’m sitting at my desk sucking my breath in on her behalf.

  • Jaeda Laurez

I wish they’d just let her cash her Toxic checks and be a mom. She always looks like she’s smiling, but her eyes say she’s over the whole thing.
That said, She looks lovely in the dress and the shoes inoffensive as these platform shoes (which I hate) go. But I don’t understand how these hairdressers can’t match extensions- I know they must have cost her a GRIP, and for them to be so obvious makes no sense.

  • Erica_Vuitton

Love seeing her with her kids, she looks much more relaxed with them by her side than she normally does alone. I wish she had kept the color but went with a style less Britney The Pop Star and more Britney The Mom.

  • Erin Schubert Needham

She looks really pretty, especially her makeup, and it’s great to see the boys. They’ve gotten so big!

  • Chuck Barthelme

I get that she’s losing weight and wants to show off, but this is entirely too tight. And she needs to update her hair a bit. Too beachy.

  • pookiesmom

She actually looks really good but what in god’s name is going on with her son?! He looks like someone just told him that Santa was eaten by a reindeer and Christmas is cancelled for the next 10 years. And Britney has that harried mom expression of “sweet baby Jesus, please stop making a scene, I’ll buy you a Beamer when we get home, just stop screaming please.”

    • Qitkat

Aww, give him a break. Having 3 grandsons and raising 3 sons, I’ve seen enough weird, crazy, over-acting faces to last me several lifetimes. It’s tough enough to be a regular, non-famous kid out in public, being herded here and there. Can’t imagine the pressure being a child of a celebrity.

      • pookiesmom

Oh, I hear that! I just think it’s weird that in these pictures nobody’s really acknowledging the fact that this kid seems to be screaming his head off on the red carpet. It’s just posey-pose time as usual. Fame is such a bizarre little circus.

        • AnaRoW

I think most of us assumed he’s showing off his blue tongue, not screaming. While the boys are a celebrity’s children, they’re actually seen a lot less than most celebrity kids since they live with their father. That’s probably why they aren’t as stiff as most kids on the red carpet.

        • Qitkat

Perhaps it’s a good thing that celebrities’ kids are acknowledging that this is far from normal. I’ve read stories where other young children are downright rude to paparazzi. Anyway, none of us were there and know what happened. Britney doesn’t look any too happy to me. Kids do have meltdowns in the most inappropriate places. It’s embarrassing and awkward, and it’s too bad that parents feel they need to subject their kids to this nonsense, and that the paps are only too eager to catch the bad unscripted moments. Everyone in the entertainment industry is somewhat complicit in the “bizarre little circus.” Good expression, BTW. Just hope her boys generally have much more of a normal life than being put on parade like this and don’t grow up to be future Biebers. He disgusts me.

    • formerlyAnon

Hahahaha! If anyone had been following me around with a camera when my kids were that age, I could show you a “harried mom expression!”

She looks pretty zen, in comparison.

      • pookiesmom

Yeah, I guess her look is tinged more with apology than with anxiety. Like, “I don’t know what to do with him any more than you do, so let’s just take some pictures, shall we?”

  • a_liking

honestly, I think she looks great.

  • Jacqueline Wessel

Those are some cute kids. I think Brittany looks good here. The hair’s a little fried, but she looks pulled together. I see Duff made it into the last shot, but where’s the cake???

  • Imasewsure

Outfit is a no but her kids are adorable and look like they are having a blast.

    • Laylalola

They sure look like like a handful! Cute boys.

  • The problem with the curves of a woman being more popular now (than that of a model stick figure), more fashion has been dedicated to tight clothes. People like J. Lo, K.K. Mariah Carey, Nikki Manage, and other entertainers who did not originally come from the design or modeling world, have influenced fashion in a negative way IMO. Wearing skin-tight clothes rarely looks classy, even on J.Lo. or K.K. Britney’s dress is awfully tight. Not many women could pull off a dress that tight; that’s for sure, but that doesn’t mean she’s fashionable.

For reasons you stated, I give her a pass as well (as if anybody would care about my passes). She does look healthy. Her sons are adorable. I wish her happiness.

I’m pretty tired of a middle hair part as well, but, I don’t know, maybe I’d still wear one if I could get away with one. The middle part should go out with bows on dresses.

    • shawna

What about those of us whose hair naturally parts in the middle? I can’t get mine to do anything else without clips or a lot of product.

      • Sorry for my generalization. I’m sure you look great. When I first saw the Kardashian girls I looked at them fondly because they reminded me of my sisters and me when we were in our teens and twenties, all dark hair parted in the middle, on the pretty side perhaps, minus the big butts (except for one sister). I miss the days of wearing our hair in the middle but we all left that style years ago. Unfortunately, I’ve never found a style that suited me so well during my prettiest years, and I think a lot of women get stuck on their most successful style after their skin and faces have both thinned. I’m thinking the “K” girls could make a change soon. SJP definitely.

  • boweryboy

    No. Just no.

The strip mall hooker look paired with her adorable children is totally incongruous.

  • ShaoLinKitten

This is Britney, bitch. She looks good. I mean, not good for say, Tilda Swinton, or even Christina Ricci, but I am not going to cast aspersions. Kudos to the kid for photobombing every picture.

  • MannahattaMamma

I think she’s wearing those shoes as a parenting tactic: “if you don’t behave, you’re getting a heel…” Because if she’s wearing those shoes just because she likes them….they are hella ugly

  • Jeanne leCube

This just looks so 2006. Very dated. Awful hair. And I wish that style of shoe with the huge platform toe and stiletto heal would just disappear.

  • ItsDicey

Could that dress BE any tighter?

  • Lighthouse Plays

Still, Britney is still gorgeous and hot. I love her dress too, it shows her curve. Theater plays for kids.

  • Lesley

she needs to update her look, she just looks outdated. that dress, the hair.. and she always looks like she’s in pain on the carpet.

  • Orange Girl

Her body is bangin’ and the kids are cute, but they all just look so uncomfortable. Except for the cupcake guy in the last pic. He looks tickled.
