Andrew Garfield on the Set of “The Amazing Spider-Man 2”

Posted on July 22, 2013

Sorry to nerd out on y’all today, what with the Comic-Con coverage and all, but we laughed out loud at the sight of these pictures and had to post them. God bless actors. They’re the ones willing to do shit like this to keep us entertained:

Andrew Garfield filming a scene at Sonny’s Grocery in Hell’s Kitchen in New York City for  “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.”

Please bear in mind that you could fry a steak on a New York City sidewalk this past week. Stay hydrated, Andrew.

Lo loved the last Spidey movie more than T did, but now we’re both primed to see the new one, just to find out what the hell this scene is all about.

HIlarious. Actually though he should be okay. it’s not like he’s cover head to toe in winter gear. But it looks very spidey

As hot as it’s been lately any clothing that tight on skin could be uncomfortable.

as I mentioned in my other reply, there are types of spandex that breathe very well. I recall many a sweltering Texas 100+ days at the local ren faires where I was fine in tights

    • Jessica Freeman

      Chafing comes to mind.

      • Frank_821

Not necessarily. There are types of spandex that breathe very well and are very comfortable against the body.

I would DIE if I see a guy dressed like that in a grocery, God bless Andrew.

  • the things they have to go through,…..LOL

  • Diego!

    Pregnancy tests for Stacy???? :O

Looks like NyQuil in his left hand… maybe Spidey is trying his hand at home DIY meth cookin? 🙂

      • Diego!

hahahahahaa xD You got a point there! 😛

I’m feeling grumpy. My nose has forgotten it’s summer and I am congested. Trust me when I say there is nothing worse than being congested in a heat wave. This made me smile. Andrew gets all my love today.

BTW, Please tell me you caught the clip of Hiddleston in full on Loki gear. The nerds at comic con flipped out.

Spidey in Hell’s Kitchen? Maybe he’s cruising.

The hat alone is making me want to start sweating. Poor guy.

  • kimmeister

    Nice biceps!

  • FunButNutz

Does that scarf really go with that hat? And the boots clash with the coat! Thumbs down!

This might be a personal best. Shine on, you crazy diamond.

“Spidey buys a pack of Marlboro Reds, coming next summer!”

  • Cathy S

Poor guy. It’s 80 gazillion degrees out.

  • Angela_the_Librarian

This reminds me of hilarious Spiderman cheap knock-off action figures dressed in fishing and hunting gear. Google “Spider Man Fisher/Archer” to see the pictures (it was also in a Cracked article about knock off toys).

  • NYCGlamourpuss

I don’t know what it’s about, but that is totally the funniest thing I’ve seen all week!

Strangely, the older I get the more I love a good comic book hero on the big screen. I had no tolerance for them in my youth but now they are the ones I look most forward to. Is it because the special effects are so much better now? Less suspension of disbelief required? Or because writers have finally found the right formula of earnestness/humor/romance? Garfield and Stone are great together and I can’t wait for the next one.

*Hoping for a Joss Whedon feature length “Hulk” starring Mark Ruffalo & Lou Ferrigno once people have had time to forget that last travesty.
