to my surprise, i’m loving the glasses and the facial hair. the suit, however…

  • Virginia McMurdo

    He is a QT.

  • teensmom99

He has never looked so good.

  • MoHub

First guy I’ve seen in a while whose jacket doesn’t look like it’s pulling—even with his hand in his pocket.

  • Awe. You rock that salt and pepper, funny, sweet guy shit Stevie.

  • Jaeda Laurez

Either he’s getting fluffy or that suit is too big. I have mixed feelings about the new attempt at facial hair, but i think it’s nicely groomed and he looks good from the neck up, and I LOVE that tie- how pretty!

  • He looks like a banker, although the tie is super.

  • MilaXX

This is pretty good for him. Nothing mind blowing, but respectable enough.

    • drdarke

It’s not great, but it’s not an embarrassment and at least it mostly fits him (even if the sleeve length appears to give him gorilla arms!) – it’ll do for a manstar whose noted more for his sense of humor than his looks.

  • marlie

Bank CEO. He looks good, but… banker.

  • Jessica Freeman

I adore Steve so much I will allow the facial hair.

  • JP

He was on Graham Norton last night (last week for UK folk), and I swear I did a double-take — those glasses make him look like Stanley Tucci. Not that that’s a bad thing, just sayin’.

  • appliquer

It is so refreshing to see a man in a suit he didn’t have to get poured in to. Very attractive!

  • geans

Wow, I just now realized he’s pretty attractive. Love the hair.

  • formerlyAnon

He looks good. Not sure about the glasses. From some angles they look too small (narrow) for his face to me. Nice tie choice.

  • Glam Dixie

I love him in the glasses and the facial hair is okay but his pants seem too loose in the legs.

  • Austen Jane

    Face, glasses, hair. Yes.

  • Little_Olive

    That tie is criminal.

In other news, is he preparing for a Steven Spielberg biopic?

  • NOLA_gal

Looks like Mr. Carell might be undergoing a Bill Murray-like elder statesman transformation. He looks great.

  • The gents at the local Bear bar would eat him up with a spoon.

  • Coleen

Those glasses make him look like a model for a Muppet. But otherwise, I approve!

  • kittentoes

Cute, but I’m also seeing Ben Stiller here, and it’s weirding me out.

  • Emily Smith

    The tie is fun.

  • TheAmericaness

    Love those eyes!

  • Cousin_Rose

Do men get werqs? He looks pretty fine to me. Love the beard, to my surprise.

  • Tamara Hogan

Celeb-u-dudes, take note. NO NECK BEARD. This is how it’s done.

    • Isabel

From a distance, he looks like George Lucas.

      Get rid of the beard!

      Everything else is Great.

  • HobbitGirl

I am not loving the scruffy beard, but wow — he cleans up nice! Very sophisticated and cute.

  • Ashley Ellen Wilson

    WOW he looks great!

  • irielle

I never thought of Steve Carell with a beard, but it looks like it’s going to be really nice when it grows up. Beards that are nicely groomed with the salt and pepper color are awfully handsome looking.

  • Tatiana Luján

From the neck up he looks super hot and cute.

From the neck down, he looks like a vicepresident of a respectable company, any given tuesday.

  • iheartbuffy

“I didn’t feel like putting on my contacts today nor shaving my beard as I rolled out of bed, put on the most ill-fitting suit I owned, and went to my prison in an office at the Barclay’s Building.”

  • kim bunchalastnames

    surprisingly dapper, actually.

  • jmorino08

I like his tie and I really love the facial hair on him, but considering my 8yo wore a mini-version of that suit to his First Communion recently, I’m going to have to give a thumbs down to that suit on the RC.

  • julnyes

I think he looks quite nice. It isn’t bleeding edge FASHION!! but he obviously put in the effort and I have no complaints.

    • iheartbuffy

I feel Steve would look really silly if not downright stupid in “bleeding edge fashion”. He’d look like he was attempting to play hipster yet again as he did with Tina Fey in Date Night (quite accurately and hilariously). This guy has got to go for classic because a) duh and b) he’s too old (in a good, Clooney-esque way) for that other crap.

      • julnyes

oh I completely agree with you. This is the playground he should be in.

  • Jacqueline Wessel

Those glasses tend remind me of Mr. Peabody…he had a “Way Back Machine”. He and his pet boy Sherman had many adventures on the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. Love the tie, he looks cute.

  • majorbedhead

    High end investment banker.

  • Chipster

He does look very good but I’m just not a fan of the pin stripe suit. It looks way too business like for a movie premier.

  • Pepper Collins

Oh wow! SOMEONE’S turning into a Silver Fox! Dayum!

  • E. D.

His hair is a little short, but no issues otherwise.

  • jenno1013

Love the beard and the tie and the fit of the jacket. OK with the glasses. Not loving the pinstripes on the RC. I’d give him an A-.

  • Monzerrat Ontiveros

So, how are Holly Flax and the kids doing, Michael?

    • Monzerrat Ontiveros

his eyes are amazing by the way…

  • FashionShowAtLunch

Jacket’s too long for someone with his build and stature. Makes him look waay boxy.

However he is still managing to look freaking great. Love everything about the styling and the silver fox-iness; love the pinstripes and the suit/tie combo. It just doesn’t fit quite right.

    • DTLAFamilies

He is way boxy. I saw him in person and he’s shaped like a table–short and wide. Don’t think there’s really any way to disguise it.

  • Donna Tabor

    “Old stockbroker fit” pants.

  • kirkyo

On the one hand, he looks like a bank manager. On the other hand, the suit could not fit any better. We should be seeing a bit of shirt cuff, however.

  • Rand Ortega

Very nice. Suit/Tie/Shirt/Specs nicely coordinated. Though I wonder if Mr. Carrell isn’t a paid spokesperson for the “SuperFocus” brand of eyeglasses. While this movie wasn’t made on a micro micro budget like “Much Ado About Nothing”, it’s still an indie movie. Why couldn’t the MAAN male cast dress this well for their launch?

  • PastryGoddess

Meow…He is working some silver fox realness there

  • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

“Dear Steven – Never. Shave. Again. Thank you, me”

  • Silly Grrl

I don’t know if it’s that he’s distanced from his Office character or if it’s the gray or what, but he is looking DAMN HOT lately.

    • I think he’s turning into quite the silver fox. WOOF.

  • conniemd

My hubby had a suit just like this from Joseph A. Bank that I dressed him in to go to court for trials. Love blue pinstripes. Just classic professional looking, if not designer runway.

  • merciblahblah

…and again I ask…WHEN DID STEVE CARELL GET SO HOT???!!!

  • e jerry powell

Suddenly I find myself very deeply attracted to Steve Carrell.

    • RIGHT? Me too.

  • Gloriana Reginata

Love that tie. Wish he had gone with a darker shirt to set it off, though: that white is so boring.

  • Alexandra Pimenta

He’s looking like a Wilson! (and I actually mean that in a good way…). I agree that Steve never looked better. The glasses are a *major* WIN. I covet.

  • quiltrx

I don’t really care for him much…but I have to give him his props. He looks quite handsome here.

  • ankali

He looks like a very nice usher at a wedding.

  • unbornfawn

Loving the salt and pepper hair and beard. He’s looking real good.

  • Puckndc

    Well done..

  • fursa_saida

He looks eerily like Bassem Youssef (Egypt’s equivalent to Jon Stewart) with the facial hair. It’s sort of freaking me out. It’s a good thing, though, because Bassem Youssef is a total fox.

  • pattie capet

nice look, pretty colors, but is jacket too long, pants too loose? i’m not good at critiquing guys’ clothes. but i can say, why do you stand there like a duck? watch your feet!

  • MaggieMae

    Look at him! Cute!

  • FloridaLlamaLover

Perfectly acceptable look, but the shoes, darling, the shoes! They are scuffed and in dire need of a good shining!
