      i love this girl!

    • Sobaika

Wrong shoes. She looks fine upwards from the calf.

      • Little_Olive

Really, how does a stylist make a rookie mistake such as pairing complicated, above-the-ankle shoes with a 3/4 length skirt?

    • AlisonS

      • MoHub

The skirt is also too long. It needed to hit at or just above the knee.

        • Rhonda Shore

Agree, hit at knee with a different shoe — those shoes ruin a great outfit. (And maybe add a burgundy or plum lipstick!)

      • Guest

Agree that what you say merits SHOUTING!!!

      • TheAmericaness

Are we not seeing those shoes (or type of shoes?) a lot?

        • decormaven

That shoe manufacturer must be offering cash incentives to stylists to promo these shoes. They’re like mushrooms, popping up out of the dark.

        • Melanie

She actually wore them to another premiere the other day with a not quite floor-length dress/skirt. They looked way better.

      • twigg

those shoes remind me of centipedes.

    • MoHub

Oh, Sandra! Could you make yourself look any stumpier and frumpier?

      • Sobaika

        Eva Longoria certainly thinks so.

      • formerlyAnon

        Oh yes. And has done.

    • Kiltdntiltd

Wow do I find that hemline unflattering for her. And,….Burn those Shoes.

      • StellaZafella

        Pan-sexual Art Museum Curator…with a Gladiator fixation

        • Heather

I would hang out with that chick.

Re skirt: I just got a great skirt from ASOS and it was this same length – I just had it hemmed.

        • Kiltdntiltd

Or a trendy Gallery rep. She will try mightily to talk you into that insanely expensive piece of dreck that they’ve been trying to unload for 3 years.

    • Monzerrat Ontiveros

Scrolldown fug, her hair and face look perfect!

    • Chuck Barthelme

She looks good. Length of the skirt makes it work, even though she’s not a tween wearing a leather skirt. I like the shoes too, but the combo of the skirt and shoes are making her legs look a bit stubby.

    • majorbedhead

I didn’t think it was possible to make a leather skirt look boring, but she managed to do it. Those shoes are awful. Awful, awful, awful.

    • Judy_S

I feel like she put this skirt/shoes combo on to show that she is so slim and well-proportioned that even if she tries to look awful she can’t manage it.

    • Beardslee

No. It’s June, not October. And that skirt hits her wrong.

      • Malve Lyborg

And it’s madly HOT here in Berlin.

    • Wendy

she is beautiful…leather skirt needs to be leather trousers……

    • Elizabeth Phillips

Either the skirt needs to be shorter, or the shoes need to be different.

      • MoHub

        Or both.

    • JasmineAM

I actually love the shoes, but they would only go with a super short dress or a pair of skinny jeans.

    • Cloveradams

She looks great, but the outfit is art gallery receptionist.

      • StellaZafella

        Great minds, Cloveradams…see above.

    • marshmallowjane

Do these shoes look good with anything? Noooooooo!

It’s so funny to come to this website and click onto a page and scroll down, subconsciously EXPECTING TO SEE ONE THING, and getting something else. This skirt doesn’t fit right, or else Sandra has a tummy she needs to hide.

I appreciate the classic look of a beautiful skirt and blouse. But nothing is working about this outfit due to the ill-fitting skirt and the disheveled neckline of the blouse.

    • annabelle archer

Oh honey, put a little life into it. I love the idea of the outfit, but the length of the skirt and the bear trap shoes are failing her. Also, why is so promoting this thing solo? Where is MM?

    • Cameron Turner

Love the shoes, but I don’t think they are right for this outfit.

    • Heather

Also, yay ASOS! I’ve been getting super cute, affordable, fun stuff from them. Way better than H&M or similar, especially since H&M seems to be morphing into Forever 21.

      • MilaXX

and ASOS is plus size friendly

    • l_c_ann

More interesting than the clothes, how does the “Heat” translate to Madels, (with an umlaut) which I remember as southern German for Madchen (also with an umlaut) as a slang for young girls?

      • MoHub

You can type an a with an umlaut by typing ALT+132 using the number pad, thusly: ä.

      • mellbell

It can mean girls (I heard it often in that sense while studying abroad in Southwest Germany), but in this context it’s more like “Tough Gals,” which kind of works. It’s no “Stirb Langsam” (aka “Die Hard”), though.

        • Malve Lyborg

“Tough Gals” is a good translation, mellbell.

“Taffe” is a germanized form of “tough” which I find strange and ugly to read.

          • charlotte

German movie titles are the worst, aren’t they?

            • Malve Lyborg

              They are!

    • AuntHo

She looks hot, but I’m so over all these centipede gladiator shoes.

    • Kristobel

I don’t mind the outfit (although I wish the shirt was…crisper?) but those shoes look like millipedes crawling up her legs. *shudder*

    • MilaXX

I like the booties with the skirt, but the top almost feels like an afterthought

    • KayEmWhy

Nothing works here. It seems no one can wear these shoes!

    • marlie

I like this a lot, but it’s more “edgy workplace” than “red carpet” to me.

(People I know in interior design or architecture would *absolutely* wear something like this to work.)

    • Lori

      Dear Sandy,

The other day when I said that your curlier hair looked half-assed when it should have been whole assed, I didn’t mean for you to go back to pin straight and center-parted. This is not a gala, so the hair from the other day would be good here. The gala needed a ‘do with more umph. No occasion needs this flat-ironed, centered parted business. You’ve been there and done that enough times now, it’s time to move on.

About the outfit, it needed a more interesting shirt, a different skirt length and different shoes. You look way better in this than the vast majority of us would, but it’s just not serving you as well as your outfit should be.

      I gripe because I love.

    • Boobs Radley

Too heavy. It’s summer — lighten up. And the skirt length is too long for those shoes. Dowdyville.

    • DailyDose

the shoes could have worked if the skirt is above the knee.

    • luluransom

Either less skirt or less shoe. Otherwise relaxed and chic.

      • Gaby

Yeah I agree. The combination is making the shoes look like those sneaker-pumps. That skirt needs a more delicate sandal.

    • Tuneful54

Going to a funeral in Hollywood. Hopefully not of her movie. Maybe of a gladiator.
I am so over flat-ironed, pin-straight hair and nude makeup, neither of which do her any favors.
C’mon, gurl, you and your team can do better.

    • MandyM

I HATE the length on this skirt. The shoes would have been great with a shorter skirt. And she didn’t have to go Heidi Klum or Jennifer Anniston with that hem; just to the knee would have saved it.

    • MartyBellerMask

Ooh. She lost me at the shoes. That skirt is too long for boots.

    • Melissa Brogan

That skirt-shoe combination are not doing her calves any favors.

    • emchicago

she’s been looking better than she’s ever looked lately

    • maggiemaybe

Except for the shoes, she looks pretty flawless. A bit heavy for June, though, no? Is it kinda chilly in Berlin right now?

      • charlotte

        Major heatwave!

    • demidaemon

Apparently, Miss Bullock decided that whatever she found in her suitcase was fine for this event. Also, shoes are way wrong.

    • Mrs. Julien

I am LOVING the fierce executive assistant look.

    • Anniebet

Sry, BKs – for me this look is off. Blouse is okay. Hair and face are great. But those shoes take a turn for the worse and then the skirt… the skirt! It’s way too tight and long and heavy. It’s summer, sweetie, even in Berlin.

    • jmorino08

    • Spicytomato1

I think those might be the same shoes she wore with the Victoria Beckham dress recently. Maybe she’s traveling light? Can’t say I blame the gal.

I agree that this is more “workplace chic” than “red carpet glam” but this is a day at the office for her. It seems some premieres are more glam and dressy than others, not sure why. I think she looks great. Again.

    • formerlyAnon

Not enough room between the shoes and the hem, otherwise, for her, this is darn near a werq.

    • Pterodactyl111

I like the skirt, but I think that shirt would be better in a color. And also different shoes.

    • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

Godawful. None of the pieces remotely work together.

    • LaSylphide

Skirt needs to be shorter, shoes need to be dropped off a bridge (without Sandra in them, of course), shirt needs color, hair need to be cut. Oh heck, just wear something else

    • BrooklynBomber

I can’t decide which I hate more: the putty pump trend (see Kristin Wiig) or this horrific gladiator on steroids trend.

    • pattie capet

I’m not nuts about this but I like the fact that she dressed well for the setting. This whole look seems very “Germany” to me, from memories of study abroad, anyway: a bit conservative, a bit tough, oddly long hems and in-your-face footwear.

    • stacey

the girl version of brad pitt’s outfit!

    • ailujailuj

Well. At least she’s getting some good wear out of the Tabithas.

    • andreawey

      leather skirt tooooo tight :(

    • Danielle L

Love her, hate the shoes. ASOS skirt!

    • Mary Lauer

Why all into the bondage shoes, Sandy?!
