Olivia Munn in NYC

Posted on June 24, 2013

Nine times out of ten, we find her style to be rather boring, but this kind of jumped out at us.

Olivia Munn seen leaving ‘The Bowery Hotel’ of East Village in New York City carrying an Alice + Olivia satchel bag.

Alice + Olivia Olivia Satchel Bag

Granted, you could go to any major city and see women heading to work dressed like this up and down the streets on any weekday, but there’s something to be said for a simple, chic, wearable outfit; especially on a lady who doesn’t tend to impress us all that often on the style front.

Besides, the bag is flipping fabulous.

Retro cute without being costumey and well thought out from head to toe. Now, who is going to hold her down while I snatch that bag and run for the hills?

      • marlie

I’ll help, as long as you help me get the skirt and shoes.

I love this, her face looks gorgeous.

    • lbl

I want that skirt, though I would have paired it with accessories that weren’t black.

      • MilaXX

on my monitor the bag reads navy and the shoes read black.

        • conniemd

The purse in the ad is black. Hers is navy and the shoes are navy, too. I’d love that bag, since I always carry around a ton of things.

          • MilaXX

I wasn’t sure on the shoes.

          • http://kittysdrawings.com Esz

            Pretty sure they’re both black

Very nice look. I know a lot of people hate that hem length but I like it and I think she is wearing it well.

      • http://twitter.com/kendallbrunson SassyMcFrench

Agreed! I think she looks adorable, and I want everything she’s sporting!

        • drdarke

The whole thing looks good on her, @SassyMcFrench:disqus – not overworked at all, unlike many of her other looks that aren’t “geekgirl chic”.

    • MilaXX

She looks good, but she’s not good enough an actor to make the fake gal about town look realistic.

    • filmcricket

Super cute. I think may be her thing, she seems to do that better, IIRC, than anything else. Want the bag.

    • Insidiously

She looks fresh faced and very cute

    • Shawn EH

Pretty. The skirt has an intriguing late 60s vibe.

      • Donna Tabor

More like late 70’s. I hate skirts very similar to this, bought at Loehmann’s back in the day.

        • Shawn EH

Yeah, the silhouette is later, but the pattern is earlier, kind of psychedelic cartoonish.

    • j_anson

It IS a cute outfit! Still on my rational hate list.

      • ShaoLinKitten

It’s a boring outfit and she is on my rational hate list too.

    • Annarosa

don’t like the skirt, sorry. what are those, blue balls? yew

    • VeryClaire

The bag makes me think she’s making a house call. In 1950.

    • ceceliadid

By far the best I’ve even seen her look.

    • ashtangajunkie

I adore this outfit! I also love those sunglasses perched on top of her pretty, shiny hair.

    • Donna Tabor

Pretty, well-groomed, chic, and she looks cool. Perfect.

    • marlie

This is gorgeous. I need to get that skirt, like, NOW.

    • Glam Dixie

She could have stolen this from Dita Von Teese’s casual wear closet (assuming she has one). She looks adorable.

    • JP

I have no idea who this woman is, but I will cut her for those shoes if she’s my size.

    • Sagecreek

      Fresh and adorable!

    • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gaby

Kind of 1930s inspired – I like it. And I covet the entire outfit so someone did their job.

    • Qitkat

Classic retro look that feels contemporary. Love both pieces.
But I don’t care for bags you could pack for a weekend in the country. Not for shopping.

    • decormaven

Very of the season! Love those shoes.

    • YourBaloneyDontGotNoSecondName

not a WERQ, but also not one single thing to ding.

    • 3boysful

Like what I’d wear to church–not earth-shattering, but fresh and cute.

    • roche

I like it. The top and skirt have a 40s vibe, but the shoes and hair, along with her stride and smile remind me of the “Charlie!” ads from the 70s.

    • Mary229

      Yeah she looks gorgeous here.

    • JauntyJohn

Atta girl, ‘liv! You look like a million bucks.

    • http://kittysdrawings.com Esz

I’d take it all *except* the bag. Its not my thing, big boxy bags like that.

    • http://victoriapavlova.com Victoria Pavlova

Alice + Olivia bag for Olivia = WIN. Lovely look, and suits her very much.

    • CommenterFormerlyKnownAsR

Pretty much the definition of fresh and summery. It suits her.

    • CeeRich

I love this entire outfit. Summer city chic.

    • Janet B

I think she looks terrific. This outfit really suits her, although it’s not very interesting. Love the bag.

    • CakesOnAPlane

      Those cheekbones. That is all.

    • librarygrrl64

Fantastic bag, super-cute skirt (I love the retro print).

    • enuma

She always looks so fresh-faced in candid shots, but her face always looks greasy on the red carpet. Is it a lighting trick, or does she have skin like mine? (Which is to say, skin that reacts to the presence of foundation by releasing ALL THE OIL.)
