It’s fun mostly.
AndI I want to go to kinky beach where they wear green patent leather
Kinky Beach – best selling author with her own YouTube channel and 63,000 Twitter followers.
But Titter followers are the best kind of followers!
All good! Titter followers are the kind of followers Kinky Beach desired, but doesn’t deserve right now. So she’ll have to deal with Twitter followers.
Isn’t that the new hit Broadway musical?
That’s Kinky Boots.
Are you sure? LOL! ; )
Down with the beach wear – very NOT down with the lace pieces.
Lace pieces I like. The rest not.
Even International Spies need to go on vacation every once and while.
Archer! – I don’t see a “Tacticalneck” though…
That’s a lot of see through dresses.
Which will be sold with lining, I think.
Indeed, one would hope.
Too bad linings seem to be in short supply for red carpets.
Still my favorite Resort Collections 2014 are Donna Karan’s and Princess’ Puffy Sleeves
some are really interesting with nice clean lines, like the black and whites with the palm frond designs. Others are just odd.
The yellow one in the bottom row is the one Kerry Washington wore with that awful red and black backdrop. It looks more yellow green here.
I thought that was the one!
As someone who lives in Denmark, I approve of the beach-wear-cum-raincoat hybridization.
Well, at least 70% of this actually looks resort-y, which is more than one can say about most resort collections. Love those deep greens.
I’m thrilled to see more deep and emerald greens in these collections. Now it’s only a matter of time until they trickle into the clothing I can afford, and then wallet, look out!
That was my thought. I can understand the resort reference with this one.
Out of what resort wear we’ve seen so far this collection is actually resort.
Die see through dresses! Die!!!
They’re not meant to be worn that way by real people, you understand.
This is not a negative necessarily but these all look like outfits I would have wanted for my Barbie.
Pretty. I especially like the pieces with that leafy print.
So, can I make the assumption then that “Resort” is just another word for “Summer”? Are there only four? Fall, Winter, Spring, & Resort? Thanks!
p.s. Everything I’m learning I’m learning from you guys thanks to two broken condoms + online classes = homebound.
I always thought Resort came between Winter and Spring (you know, when those fabulously wealthy people are jetting off to tropical paradises and/or cruising about on their yachts)….but that may just be one of those things I made up in my head at one point that no one has ever bothered to correct me on. BK’s…what’s the story?
I believe that’s the general interpretation actually. Fall and Spring get the big shows while Pre-Fall (AKA Winter) and Resort (AKA Summer) are generally shown as these sorts of lookbooks.
I’m digging the Rorshach-meets-palm-leaves print.
Welcome to “Bizarre Tan Lines ‘R Us.”
Last row, bottom left. I see that with a jade cigarette holder, martini glass and a Italian greyhound on a leash with a gorgeous man in a tuxedo in the background. sighhhhhhh!
Work so needs to be over for the day.
L.O.V.E those four dresses at the end…. I neeeed them
Model in next to last row in black lace appears to have Barbies genitalia
Love it all, very sharp, esp the top two rows. Really love that large black leafy scribbly print.
Love the soft green color.
Not sure about the dark green pleather coat. Cute enough collection. Kinda curious to see who would wear that sheer peach lace jumpsuit
I think I’d like the clothes… If I could get over how artificial those girls look. I think it’s the precise/consummate styling, but, seriously, are they even human?
it feels kind of all over the place- dare i say it lacks cohesion ( apologies for the PR buzzword)
bah…what is it with making resort collections reminiscent of 9-5 wear? I don’t know what kind of resort these are for, but I don’t pack sheath dresses, pencil skirts, leather jackets, or big clunky leather bags for MY summer getaways.
It bothers me how many designers this fall are effing up my island fantasies.
Most of this is fine, in theory. Until we see it on the red carpet this Winter with starlets baring half their torsos.
Obviously we’re expected to work on our exotic resort vacation, also wear plastic raincoats and carry humongous bags, and can that possibly be denim? All the rest of the time we must be 3/4s naked. Or is that 9/10s? Then we get some lovely gowns for that formal dress ball that every vacation has in store for us, ya know?
I really like the leaf prints. And I really want that big-ass carpetbag with the print!
I really like the last row. The rest, for me, is a gigantic MEH.
Why are ALL the models white?
This collection seems very disjointed to me. That denim does not fit with the structure of the other pieces, although I am biased because I hate that front pocket on the one. I love the coats, and the bags. The last four more formal gowns are beautiful. I am also not a fan of all the models wearing the same shoe for each outfit.
The shoes are killing it for me. I can’t look at the garments, I’m so distracted by the footwear.
Who scribbled all over the clothes?
