Elizabeth Banks at Chateau Marmont

Posted on June 25, 2013

Hi, Lizzie!

Elizabeth Banks seen leaving Chateau Marmont in Hollywood in an animal-print dress paired with a Beckley By Melissa leather jacket.

You look like you’re dressed to go somewhere fun! Can we hop in your car with you?

No? Okay, then.

You still look cute, even if none of these pieces quite seem to go with any of the other ones.

Lizzie, Lizzie, Lizzie – did you really have to bring your laptop out with you while clubbing?

Dress is cute and sexy, I love a leather jacket even if this one looks as impractical as Hell, and the shoes are even adorable. OTOH, she really looks like she’s headed for a 24-hour Starbucks to get a Quinti-Venti Latte and some free wifi to pick up her e-mail with….

      Word.

  • Fordzo

I love her so much. I just watched Pitch Perfect for about the bazillionth time last night, and now I just fast forward to her scenes and Rebel’s scenes.

    • TonyGo

The Minstrel Cycles…still makes me laugh.

      • Fordzo

        Acamazing.

  • lexilexi

    I love her champagne expressions.

  • marlie

The high-waisted dress and the cropped jacket all make her look like either her torso is short, or that she’s wearing a child’s clothes.

Courtney Love is super pissed that you’re biting her old look, Lizze. That said, those shoes are fabulous and we wants them.

There are no words for how much I dislike those shoes. Also that purse is not my favorite, but that’s all big ass envelope styles. Love the dress, like it with that jacket. WANT TO HANG OUT WITH HER SO DESPERATELY. BE MY FRIEND!!!

I actually think most of the pieces really do go together. Leather accessories work as a punctuation for the animal print dress, and I like that the line of the shoe straps echoes the curve of the cropped jacket hem. The only one I’m not totally sold on is the baby blue envelope clutch, but then again, I can’t come up with a necessarily better alternative. Black would be boring, metallic would be tacky. Maybe a subtle shade of purple-grey. But for the most part, I think she looks great and cohesive.

I think it’s the pastel of the clutch. Pastel doesn’t go with animal print and clubbing. A bright red, orange, or even a subtler burgundy would go.

That purse looks like some kind of medical supply cover, like an enema kit your grandparents store in the cupboard under the bathroom sink.

    • SugarSnap108

Ha! It does look perfectly designed to hold tubing.

    • Rand Ortega

Dammit! Stop making me spit out my coffee!

    • YourBaloneyDontGotNoSecondName

you are wrong with a capital R

    • decormaven

Yes. It probably has BF Goodrich stamped on the flap.

    • TLJezebel

It could be a refurbished old-timey douche bag.

  • SugarSnap108

That dress is pretty darn cute. Everything else is kind of a perplexing jumble.

  • Jaeda Laurez

I don’t get the purse, the dress, or that foundation. The shoes and jacket are cute though.

    • Tatiana Luján

      The foundation is insane.

  • Heather

Those shoes are cute (they look Aldo but probably aren’t), though they look like something I’d wear to work, with a cardigan and pencil skirt. Lizzie, I think you need to hand them over.

  • everest19

The life of an A-list celebrity must be so hard…

    • largishbearishAtlish

A list? B at best…(is there a ranking somewhere? seriously that would be a hoot of a website….well maybe not…could get viscious)

  • Nancer

I think this all looks really cute, though I agree – the pieces really don’t belong together. And yet it works. Crazy.

  • Lori

I think the dress and the jacket sort of work together, kinda, but the purse and the shoes are definitely from two other outfits.

  • Annarosa

“You still look cute, even if none of these pieces quite seem to go with any of the other ones.”
you guys please stop reading my mind

  • Rand Ortega

I don’t get that clutch AT ALL. The rest of the outfit is adorable. I’m especially partial to all of the cropped moto jackets in a myriad of colors I’ve been seeing around WeHo these days. Very fetching.

  • GorgeousThings

That looks like one of my fabrics!

  • imspinningaround

    Ew, character shoes.

Love the fresh face – so much better than the crazy red carpet pancake.

  • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gaby

Cute, but I think she’s wearing the wrong shade of foundation. Also, I want her purse for carrying legal documents. Give it to me, sweetie – it’s the worst offender in the “doesn’t go” category.

  • Randy Noak

I like everything but the bag. Also, it’s scary how much she looks like Elisabeth Shue.

  • Danielle L

I WANT THAT BAG. I could whack so many people in the back of the head with it at crowded restaurants.

  • sunnycalif

Tap dancer shoes. Skirt higher in the back than in the front. Not really liking it.

  • joanna dash

I like it all. She looks cute.

  • quiltrx

Yikes. Not loving this look (but I don’t really care for her anyway). I DO like the retro shoes, though.

  • ailujailuj

on her way to the marmont for some blow and show… she can wear whateverthefuck she wants. she’s in.
just gig me a minute to get ready,

  • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

The jacket looks a little cheap.

  • largishbearishAtlish

are her clothes shrinking? the skirt looks 6 inches too short, and the ‘vest’ looks like it belongs on an infant? (and the purse/douche bag cover has been, wonderfully, discussed already). Maybe there was a Chelsea Lately look alike contest we missed?
