Definitely getting a Greek Goddess and Middle Eastern vibe. I like it.

      • sojourneryouth

Me too. Simple, comfy-looking, but really elegant–nice shade of red, nice prints. I can see a lot of different types of bodies looking good in this line.

        • misstressofsylar

i love how i never have to wonder how it will work in real life when I’m looking at her designs. wearable stuff for any kind of woman (with a higher purchasing power)

    • TheAmericaness

Love it. Feels like a real resort line with actual women in mind and not some line that somebody maybe tacked the word “woman” up in a few places.. maybe “woman-ish” or “womanly???”

      • Coolekat

I can see myself actually wearing some of these.

        • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

Me too. Fantasy-me who is taller and thinner, but still me!

          • formerlyAnon

            ESPECIALLY taller.

            • drdarke

              ESPECIALLY thinner here, @formerlyAnon:disqus !

    • Lizzy

I like it… flowy and comfortable. What I would wear to a resort if I were one of those people.

So far no one does a KOA line.

      • Funkykatt

        Ha, good one.

      • kimmeister

I think Walmart makes that line.

        • l_c_ann

          For KOA, REI every time.

    • SewingSiren

For a very Zen like vacation resort.

    • save_the_hobbit

The earring is something I would wear…but I also have one side of my head shaved, so I’m not entirely certain that’s the look they were going for.

      • SassieCassy

i wish i had the guts to wear one long dangly earring like that and pull it off

        • l_c_ann

I did that one time at a formal dinner in Bristol, England. Damned if I know when the other earring dropped and was lost forever. I just flipped my hair back on that side and pretended It was intentional.

          Attitude rocks.

    • conniemd

Someone stole every color but red from the fabric dyer.

    • TSkot

See, Mr. Kors? THIS is how you do a resort collection.
(Okay, minus that last number. Who tacked that on??)

    • musicandmochi

I FLOVE Donna Karan’s work for the most part. But this collection is a bit too dark and basic in my eyes.

I kinda hate the prints, which is a first as far as I can remember. The last gown does nothing to flatter even the model’s figure, so I don’t know what I could hope to accomplish by purchasing it. (Hah! In another life!)

On the other hand, I love pretty much all of her all-white and all-black pieces. The fourth and the fourth-from-last are my two favorites.

Besides the clunky gold…gladiators?, I think the shoes finished the pieces off fairly nicely. Love the earrings!

Best part in my opinion is how these can all mostly flatter a range of body shapes and look both classic and no-fuss, yet chic and glamorous. That’s why I love DK. (Not to be confused with Donkey Kong.)

    • theblondette

The jackets are pretty terrible. I like the flow of some of the dresses. And as @theamericaness:disqus says, pretty wearable.

    • OrigamiRose

Was this runway in an abandoned auto shop?

      • Kristin McNamara

*A really cold abandoned auto shop?

    • Three Henkiss

      gorgeous.

    • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

      Donna Karan for Revenge.

    • marlie

Very Donna Karan. I like the subtlety and elegance of it.

    • Pennymac

Yes, Yes, Yes!! Elegant! And take note, Michael *Orange Dutchess* Kors. Resort looks soooo much better in motion!

    • crash1212

Love. And now I want one very long earring.

    • silaria

I love everything here that isn’t a print. And that first red dress? Holy crap, I don’t *need* that mortgage payment, right?

    • Anniebet

      About 50/50 meh and yeah.

    • Monabel

      Even like the prints!

    • http://howtofaint.tumblr.com/ How to Faint

      Hello, nineties, my old friend.

    • Glam Dixie

Some lovely pieces mixed in with some duds. So far, Christian Siriano has my favorite resort collection.

    • blueberrypanckae

wearable and elegant- i like it

    • MilaXX

I like it all except the last red gown.

    • bertkeeter

      Pretty close to perfect!

    • cindiaune

Looks resort to me, especially the ones with the jackets…totally resort waiter lol

    • amanda lynn

      one of each, please.

    • quiltrx

Very flowy, very sleek at the same time…just what I’d expect from DK.
And this actually says “resort” to me, unlike a lot of the other collections we’ve seen recently.

    • http://marshmallowjane.com/ marshmallowjane

These hang beautiful. I’m not fond of the red dress at the end. I’m not a fan of a “dropped waist” when it’s cut that low.

    • kim bunchalastnames

that navy gown is TO DIE.

    • Diego!

I love it! This is like High Resort to me. ULTRACHIC!

    • formerlyAnon

I like a good bit of it, but unless there’s sizing proportioned for “petites” (e.g. the short) all of that flowy, drapey elegance would be far less elegant and far more stumpifying on me. The fact that I don’t know if her line generally has a petite version lets you know how likely I am to be purchasing any.

    • MaggieMae

Oh! Look 7! I thought it was a skirt at first, but it’s pants! If I was long and willowy, I’d wear those black and red polka dot pants! (But not with the jacket!). Again, going with the “IF I was long and willowy”, I’m all over the black and white “wrap” dress, and black ensemble with string halter. Sweet.

    • IMNAngryLiberal

I believe that in my heart and mind I am a Donna Karan woman … if only my body would come into line!

    • http://www.lippsisters.com/ Deborah Lipp

I love all of it a lot except for the closing gown. Really jarring to have that froo-froo shoulder when everything else is so clean and flowing.

    • MGMcD

I love most of it, but also can’t help but get a 90s vibe with all the bias cuts and string halter necks. I die for the last two though; I love the modern, edgy greek thing and the flamenco fabulous red.

    • prettybigkitty

      And lovely.

    • MzzPants

Usually I just ‘appreciate’ but don’t care for DK, but this collection I LOVE.

    • Synnamin

Pretty. I would wear almost every one of those pieces. The only exception would be the bedsheet dresses

    • http://www.ellenciompi.com/ NurseEllen

Sleeveless black dress with the gold diagonals, please and thank you. This is a very nice collection. Amazing how the professionals know how to do things right. Look at this and learn, Project Runway aspirants!

    • kolokOlchik

I want pretty much everything! What a gorgeous collection!

    • lilazander

Super cool clothes! I think this is a definition of resort. I want them all and I want to go to a resort…ha,ha,ha…

    • lalahartma

I love these! It’s so rare!
