Colton Haynes at the “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” Musical Opening Night

Posted on June 28, 2013

Happy Sausage Friday once again, kittens. To kick us off, here’s an adorable little twink rocking a Pee-Wee.

Doesn’t that sound dirty? It was meant to!

Colton Haynes at the “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” Musical Opening Night at the Theatre Royal in London.

But we’re gonna backtrack and say no, he’s not actually rocking this Pee-Wee. The pants are way too full for a hem that high. This is a thing lately with the boystars. They want to try the Thom Browne-style cut for menswear, but they tend to get a detail wrong here and there. You need a skinnier pant than that to attempt an ankle hem.

Also, this is way too gray, and worse, the grays don’t quite go together. Fantastic jacket, though. It would look awesome with a pair of jeans.

It’s kind of a scrolldown wince. Jacket is just right (even though the bowtie is a little crooked) but those pants are cringeworthy: too loose (?) at the top, kind of floating above his ankle but not really, and all in all throwing off his nicely-proportioned top half.

      • In_Stitches

At a certain point, if your thighs are too muscular, there are styles that just won’t work anymore. The barrier on Pee-Wee pants is rather low sadly.

      • RebeccaKW

My issue with the pant is the fullness in the thigh and the narrow-cut of the hem, plus being short.

      • Gaby

I think it’s that his suit pants are hanging off of his hips instead of his waist. Look at where his belt is sitting relative to the button on the jacket – I think it should be at least an inch and a half higher, so that it’s somewhat more concealed by the jacket. When dress pants hang off the hips instead of the waist, the tailoring meant to form to the butt blousons out from the hips and gives a guy the illusion of child-bearing hips.

    • HomeOfficeGirl

Wow – he’s super cute. I don’t know this guy… his face looks precious and tough from shot to shot.
The mismatched grays bug for sure.

      • kmk05

He is on MTV shows (was in Teen Wolf, now on Arrow). He was an Abercrombie and Fitch model.

      • Jessica Freeman

He makes Teen Wolf worth watching, as well has Tyler Hoechlin. Basically, watch it on mute.

        • giddypony

Dylan O’Brien too. I’m glad others share my secret shame

    • stephbellard

He’s so pretty, if he walked by my construction site, I’d grab my crotch and whistle.

    • annabelle archer

He looks like a walking optical illusion.
eta – but i do love his face.

    • Jessica Freeman

I have found Colton looks much better with his shirt off. He’s not one to pull off a bowtie…no hunny.

    • jonnyf8

Would like a close-up on those shoes. I actually like this and if the pants had been a skosh slimmer I think it would have been great.

      • foodycatAlicia

Yes – are they woven leather? I like them!

    • JeWawa

      He looks RIDICULOUS.

      • Merkin

Yes, he should take those clothes off IMMEDIATELY.

    • DTLAFamilies

Love Thom Browne but it seems like his clothes are impossible to get right in real life, even in the version of real life that is lived by celebs.

    • Karen Dickerson

Huh. He’s pretty. I have no idea who he is, but he’s very very pretty. Did I say he was pretty?

His outfit is completely ridiculous though.

    • gabbilevy

      I miss Arrow.

    • Kiltdntiltd

Wow, does that stripe show every last wrinkle like its got klieg lights on it. Oh wait, it does.

    • Annarosa

      Totally Doppler effect.

    • PastryGoddess

      I….er…..ooh….ahh…, just no

I also just wanted to say nice logo TLo

    • Lesley

from the neck up he is delishh, chiseled cheek bones, strong jaw and full lips (yum). if only he wasn’t wearing THAT and was a few inches taller i’d be all over that.

    • GillianHolroyd

Very sharp. I disagree that the grays are mismatched.

    • Wendy

Could he manage a decent dress shirt without exposed pockets in a different color? It all looks a bit hap hazard.

    • MilaXX

This is not much better than Mathew Morrison’s suit

    • capybara_cafe

I am in love with those shoes <3

    • julnyes

If the pants were slimmer and he was wearing a different shirt I would like this look.

    • crash1212

The trend for these silly little suits can’t go away fast enough for me.

    • heartbot

The crotch is too low. It’s weirding me out.

    • formerlyAnon

I would submit that he’s not tall enough for intentionally short pants, unless he wants to look short. He’s officially 5′ 9″ – not tall, not short, kind of middle ground – though I suspect official heights are often exaggerated.

    • Lizzy

I’m not loving the tight-suit-coat trend… everything looks like someone’s trying to wear boys clothes…

    • jmorino08

      Suck in those cheeks!!

    • Shawn EH

Eyebrow manscaping? Threading? Not bad, just weird.

      • write_light

Not really- he just has heavy brows closer in. They are like that in every pic and show, sometimes darker. I think the over-lit scene caused this.

    • Gaby

His pants are also falling too low on his hips, which is giving me a sad because it’s making his legs look stumpy.

Too bad, because I love the pattern of the suit, and the shoes are RIDICULOUSLY FABULOUS. Seriously – can we get a close-up? I have a pair of thrifted brown (little boy’s) brogues with a woven tongue and these look similarly constructed. SO PRETTY.

    • JauntyJohn

      bow ties are cool.

    • sekushinonyanko

I don’t hate this. I like the grays not matching. I think the crazy flare on his jacket works, as he’s slim hipped. Add to the hem of the pants and I’d full on approve. But he is a very cute boy, and his outfit looks like he’s trying for real. So I can’t help but go “aww, honey, of COURSE I’ll grade you on a curve. I just got stern so that you’d pout a little. With your cute pouty face.”

    • Judy_S

      oh, come on. Adorableness counts.

    • MemHey

I am thankful that this is an interesting suit – i.e. not solid grey or black – and that he is trying! He has put thought into this look, even shaved! In the grand scheme of male star dressing, he is automatically in the black for those alone. Deductions for fit and overly-grey notwithstanding, it is at least inoffensive at worst and mildly interesting at best.

    • Sandra Oh

Pants look weird but the top half works for me. And his face is the best accessory of all

    • demidaemon

He’s wearing a belt and a bowtie. For that alone, I am happy. If he would just close his mouth, I could find a way to sign off on the look as a whole.

    • ZnSD

      Daddy like.
