She is usually very hit or miss, so I say this is unreservedly fabulous.

  • daisyj

The tiny handbag seems out of proportion to me, but otherwise I love it all.

  • PastryGoddess

I think she gets the Miss Lady award of the day

  • eowyn_of_rohan

Very nice, though without the belt it would be flat-out boring.

Best she has looked in ages! And, it must be said, kudos to her for not overly (if at all) jacking with her face. Aging gracefully is clearly not an easy choice in her profession, but my hope is that as long as the greats like her, Meryl and Helen insist upon the gold standard, others who care about the craft will do the same.

      She looks gorgeous, right?!

    • 1964edithgrove

Proves yet again that Botox is the devil.

      • maggiemaybe

Amen to that. That weird, waxy Botox effect really messes with a woman’s face. She’s so much more beautiful as is.

    • jetpackdino

Amen. Botox, Juvederm cheeks, lips that are collagen-injected to the point that we don’t recognize the face… None of that nonsense going on here. Loving it.

    • Little_Olive

Also my first thought: a monument to aging gracefully. There is hope.

    • TheAmericaness

That’s got to be so hard to do for some. I think not allowing yourself to be surrounded by yes men and not buying into your own bullshit (goes hand in hand i’m assuming) probably helps. In a business where your money makes you a honeypot for those exact things, I can see how so many of those stars end up falling for chasing youth, as if you can. I think another thing that seems to work, though I’m sure there are exceptions, is the marriages that work are ones where one of them is a major star and one of them is not. Someone has to stay grounded. Two people with two sets of entourages on two different sets with 20 different nannies all worried about their looks? Wow! How did it not work out? I meandered. Anyway. I think my main point is in there somewhere. :)

    • drdarke

      She’s a stunning 63….

WERQ + IN! She looks amazing!

No, the style of the pants is wrong for the dress. From the hips up, it is great. The rest is a mess. Hair and makeup are fine.

    • Rand Ortega

Maybe a matching A-Line skirt? Very ’50′s Dior. I respect the choice of ladypants, though. If they’re done right. I like these.

    • Carla_Charlton

The pants don’t seem to fit correctly. But I’m with everyone else who applauds her for being natural and not morphing into Joan Rivers.

      • demidaemon

Well, Joan doesn’t pretend that she hasn’t had cosmetic surgery, unlike other celebrities.

        • Carla_Charlton

And my only point is that there is a certain similarity among a lot of post-plastic surgery recipients and Joan has set the standard for that look.

  • charlotte

Fabulous. It just came to me that she should be cast as Elisabeth Moss’s mom if there is ever a need for that.

  • Clueless_Jock

    Looks good.

  • MilaXX

If she had kept the silver belt I would have been okay with this. That copper color is too jarring.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Julie-Chase/731391326 Julie Chase

Love the jacket. She’s a goddess.

  • LesYeuxHiboux

Kinda great: suits her figure, the occasion, her maturity, her image…my only wish would be for a couple of well-placed darts just under the bust. Great hair and makeup, perfect heel height/shape. So chic!

  • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

The jacket seems way too big for her, but I love how classy and elegant this look is. And while I don’t love the lipstick color, she really looks beautiful from the neck up.

  • Rand Ortega

The Queen of Sci Fi is ROCKIN’ IT! Her Miss Dior handbag is murdering me. I can’t take how hot she looks.

  • hughman

The Dark Underlords beneath the Earth done her good (just watched that movie). Also, impressed by her pant length given the women is SO tall. She avoided waders and overlong which is impressive.

  • frannyprof

    I love this!

  • NYCGlamourpuss

    Just fantastic, a home run!

  • atelier482 .

Fit and proportion issues but she looks great.

  • elirt

She needs a necklace and a better purse. Her clothes, however, look fantastic.

  • http://twitter.com/RaankyRaank Raanky

Best she has looked in a while!

  • Tatiana Luján

    She looks amazing.

  • Patricia Gillett

Lovely in a low key way. The clothes aren’t wearing her. Also, in total agreement with everyone who says her face is lovely.

  • Hetha Innis

I love it and really like how her belt compliments her hair color. She looks super chic.

  • clevRcat

I do wish the trousers were a little less rumpled, otherwise FAB. She is gorgeous!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jessica-TallGirl-Freeman/1043623567 Jessica TallGirl Freeman

The pants could fit just a tad tighter around the knees to deter from the scrunching, but I just love this. She looks fantastic.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000393765005 Garcia Loca

It’s not due to looseness around knee — it’s the tightness around ankle combined with the length that’s pushing the pant up and creates the scrunching. Otherwise, a very clean and classic look.

  • random_poster

I dig it. Such a sophisticated and polished look!

  • mjude

    love her

  • crash1212

Classic. Polished. Sophisticated. Venue/event appropriate. She looks great. Nicely done.

  • e jerry powell

SO so so so so perfect. I can’t even have a problem with dress over pants. The belt she has works much better for her than the one on the model would have.

I’m guessing she went across Lincoln Center on a night that her play was dark.

  • Anniebet

Elegant and up to date. She’s a class act. And it’s ballet! Yay for celebs who like ballet.

  • BrooklynBomber

Brava, Siggy. I want those pants.

  • lobsterlen

That is perfect for the ballet.

  • cmb123

This is how you work a lady pant!

  • GorgeousThings

    She looks amazing.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000393765005 Garcia Loca

    Boom!

  • http://www.facebook.com/candice.booth.79 Candice Booth

Stunning and I love the way she aged.

  • MoHub

I see crow’s feet! And I love ‘em!

  • jetpackdino

She looks great. Makeup? Fab. Hair? I’m loving it. Christian Dior suit? Quite nice. My only quibble might be with the black top she’s wearing under the jacket (competing blacks don’t photograph well), but that’s just a quibble.

The best thing about Sigourney Weaver is knowing she’s a pretty smart cookie. Underneath all that fashion and beauty is the mind of a woman who can hold her own. This is not a bimbo.

  • deathandthestrawberry

    She looks great.

  • http://profiles.google.com/gillianholroyd gillian holroyd

    Stunning.

  • http://twitter.com/amndad amanda lynn

    she looks so nice. :)

  • jw_ny

I haven’t seen her in a long time…she looks fantastic. Outfit is simple yet striking.

  • sagecreek

May we all age so well.

  • Inspector_Gidget

    Punch it, Bishop!

  • Girl_With_a_Pearl

Oh how nice she looks! Really enjoyed seeing her in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike too.

  • formerlyAnon

    Brilliant.

  • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

That’s how a beautiful starlet of yesteryear is SUPPOSED to look. Bowing down to Susan’s awesomeness.

  • mmc2315

Love her. I can only hope to age half as well. Good look for her!

  • E. D.

Not 100% behind the lip color, but the rest looks great.

  • Fordzo

She has such nice hair. I hope that mine looks that full when I’m her age.

Wait. Do we think that is all her own (grown out of her own head) hair?

  • http://twitter.com/TereKirkland Tere Kirkland

    Oh, thank God!
This is just amazing. She looks fabulous. Christmas has come early this year.

  • Heather

Bitch is SIXTY FREAKING YEARS OLD.

  • littlemissstrange

    LOVE.

  • quiltrx

She looks terrific! And that jacket/coat/dress is bitch-cutting fabulous.

  • bd73

what a comeback. when facing a problem you just say, “what would ripley do?” and it should get you to the solution.

  • JauntyJohn

Sensational. And have you ever seen such a smile? It looks like she’s three milliseconds from the world’s most withering “fuck you.” No, I’m serious. Look in her eyes then look at her smile. You can see the “Ffff” forming even as the photogs clicked.

  • http://www.facebook.com/conysoledad Constanza Álvarez Espinoza

    Totally a WERQ!!

  • decormaven

Thank the almighty heavens she has not fiddled with her looks. Yes, she’s older, but she’s owning that fact. She wears it well.

  • http://www.facebook.com/tmctigue Teresa McTigue

Beautiful, age appropriate, and I love that she hasn’t fallen into the face lift trap. Bravo, Signorney.

  • http://asskickingadviser.com/ Ass Kicking Adviser

One of my all time faves. I love her and I love this outfit. I know it’s demure but it’s very her.

  • http://twitter.com/AshBookworm Ash

She is beautiful. Love the outfit.

  • http://www.facebook.com/bert.keeter Bert Keeter

Perfect! Now put your arm down!

    • MoHub

I’m around the same age. That arm may be there for lumbar support.

  • drdarke

Beautiful – Her Most Serene Majesty Sigourney I attending the Ballet….

  • Puckndc

Only Her Majesty could carry off ladypants…..a class act all the way!

  • librarygrrl64

I would have liked a little more color, and those earrings aren’t working for me, but I love this outfit on her!
