Those strands hanging down by her face are triggering my OCD like mad. Lovely dress, though I would best describe the color as “toothpaste.” And it looks better with that necklace on the runway version.

      • gabbilevy

That necklace really does make it, doesn’t it?

      • Winter_White

Ooo, what kind of toothpaste do you use? If it looks like that iridescent hem-area, I want some!

      • Allison Drury

I kind of like her 70’s boudoir hair. But the color of that dress is all wrong for her coloring. Imagine it just bit more saturated and less icy. Would be beautiful.

Those are the drabbest sequins I’ve ever seen. Also, some sort of statement necklace was needed for this look – that’s a lot of mint lace. Cute shoes though.

    • filmcricket

      Taylor Swift 10 years older.

    • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Love the accessories. The dress is too twee and the hair is a bit too sloppy.

    • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

What a tasteful Mother of The Bride!

I love the shoes but they clash with the dress, the neckline of which needs embellishment or a different style (v-neck, etc). The rest of the accessories are okay. Pre-workout yoga hair.

    • nannypoo

      Minty fresh. Strange shoe choice.

      • decormaven

Wish she had gone for the statement necklace as shown on the runway, and chosen a less fussy look in the shoe.

    • Hetha Innis

I’m vacillating between thinking the dress is too young for her vs. too matronly for her.

      • VictoriaDiNardo

me too. too big is a given.

      • demidaemon

Too young can be–in a reverse psychology sort of way–too matronly. If a person is wearing a dress that is not age-appropriate for them, it can have the effect of making them appear older. This I have learned from What Not to Wear.

Ugly shoes. Spearmint dress. Famous for being famous.

    • PastryGoddess

Bad hair, good dress, bad shoes. Charlotte Olympia is taking over the red carpet

Goodness sakes, she is positively glowing from the neck up. The color is good for her, but the dress is just too much. She must have picked her shoes out in the dark.

      • 3boysful

For real. Those shoes and that confection of a dress? No way. Plus the dress, while twee-ly pretty, seems too short-waisted for Sienna. And I hate the clutch with this dress. Hrrmph. She does look pretty from the neck up.

    • hughman

Maria Von Trapp would be proud of this curtain dress.

    • Sara__B

My old fuddy-duddyness is showing, but she’d look much better with a belt and HOSE! (Gotta love that smile, though!)

    • http://twitter.com/1tsplove sara

I must be alone, but I love this dress. I do wish the waistline was maybe 1-2 inches higher though. Also maybe the shoes are a little dark?

    • SewingSiren

I like everything except the shoes. The clutch is especially cute, even the name of it.

    • BendinIntheWind

I absolutely ADORE those shoes, though I prefer the coloring in the stock photo over the ones she’s wearing.

    • MilaXX

Hate her hair. I like each individual piece (dress, shoes, purse), but I dislike them all together.

    • http://profiles.google.com/gillianholroyd gillian holroyd

The color looks good on her; is the dress maybe a dite too big?

    • Lesley

this is a very “sweet, pretty” look for her. i prefer her edgy boho look which she pulls off amazing, she’s what kate bosworth aspires to be. however, i do like all these pieces (minus her hairdo!) just separately not together.

    • Little_Olive

There is a missing link between the frumpiness of the dress -which I hate- and the edginess of the shoes. The clutch, which I love, is a good attempt but not enough.

Anyway, that is her head in 2009, right?

    • Kate4queen

      pretty! I covet those shoes.

    • Tatiana Luján

      Love the shoes.
I don’t know why, but I don’t like the way that dress suits her.
The smile makes her look gorgeous.

    • http://thishotoldbroad.blogspot.com/ Sara Leigh Merrey

Love the shoes. The dress, meh. The knob on the top of her head? If you pull it, does her hair grow like Barbie’s?

    • Sally Brownson

All these things would be great paired with other things.

    • http://www.facebook.com/aboutelle Ashleigh Boutelle

those SHOES!!! Why do I love them so?

    • IMNAngryLiberal

WTF happened to Sienna Miller? Didn’t she used to be the edgy, fashion forward English birdie that we all secretly wanted to be? This is all just too bad, sad, and boring.

    • kappyapp

as always, I’m just happy to see a long-sleeved dress

    • Alyssa

This has nothing to do with Sienna, but I would love to hear TLo’s opinion on the Revenge finale last night! I know you’re not regularly recapping it anymore…but can you make an exception for the finale? Please! :)

    • ToniMacAttack

Oh honey, those shoes do NOT go…

    • http://www.ellenciompi.com/ NurseEllen

Does the word “belt” have any meaning to her?

    • l_c_ann

That interesting fabric is wasted in that dress

    • http://surelysonsy.blogspot.com/ Jessica | Surely Sonsy

i wish she would have worn the necklace the model has. it definitely needs an extra oomph.

    • KayEmWhy

This dress is too young for her.

    • Janet B

She is glowing. Maybe she’s too warm?

    • crash1212

I truly love all of the components – just not sure they go together. Also, those clutches confuse me – I like the look, but the inconvenience of opening a spider and then zippering open the interior just to get to my gum seems like a lot of work.

    • http://twitter.com/Hussified Coleen

Needs a belt needs a belt needs a BEEEEELT!

      • fringebenefit

Thank you, Coleen. That is usually my mantra. I will say it again: Needs a belt needs a belt needs a BEEEEEELT.

        • http://twitter.com/Hussified Coleen

I like singing it to the tune of “You Can Fly” from Peter Pan. Peps it up a bit.

    • barbarienne

Love those shoes with that dress.

Don’t love the hair. I’m undecided on the long sleeves with that pattern, probably because they’re a little too long for her. I think I prefer the model’s jewelry, but a necklace and those earrings would be too much, and the earrings compliment her face so well. I’m officially tired of that clutch; oh, ladystars, please get another bag.

Makeup is good, and the smile is FANTASTIC.

    • TheAmericaness

There is something right and not quite right about it for me and I can’t really put my finger on either one.

      • stubbornthoughts

        My thoughts exactly!

    • guest2visits

I love the shoes, but I’m not sure they work with this demure dress. This might make a nice Kate M dress, post baby.

    • quiltrx

Bleh, nothing to see here, except that awesome necklace on the model.

    • Colleen

adorable until i got to the shoes.
